Second time we stayed here. It was clean and comfortable. However, needs alot of TLC. Good location and pet friendly.
We stayed 2 nights. The location is great and you can see the ocean from the window and if you have small kids (like us) it’s a perfect walking distance to the beach. Other reviews are right about old carpets and such. Those are the downsides for sure. Place needs a lot of upgrades. Also there are no extra blankets at all and no coffee (coffee machine is there but you have to actually get your butt out in the morning and go buy coffee)
The location was awesome. Beach access across the street made it so easy to transport all out beach items and family to the beach. Perfect for pets.
With the location and ease of access this place felt like an ocean front stay. The unit had everything we needed from entertainment to meals. Highly recommend
Third time staying in this development but this unit was the biggest disappointment. The unit has a great view but really needs updated and painted. Remove the carpet. Although our time was at the beach there was streaming tv only. No cable as advertised in the description. Not only Roku limited watching but main tv in living room didn’t work. Vacasa sent a technician who confirm tv didn’t work and had the same issue the week prior in that same unit
Pros: The customer service was great. The place is across the street from the beach. Cons: the carpet hasn’t been replaced in ages. Our toddler developed a cough from staying in this place. The place is sort of rotting in places. Furniture is old and rickety. For the price I expected more.
The villa was nothing like it was displayed online in the pics. The pics were probably taken when they first bought the place. The were dingy and scratched up to no end. There were no screens to open windows and get to hear the ocean and get the breeze from it. The carpets were full of pet stains. Why in a pet friendly place do you have carpet in the first place. The balcony was the best part but the bubur carpet outdoors was molding. One of the bathrooms had black mold behind the toilet. The vents had mold around them and I assume they were blowing mold through the house. The two best things were the view and the mattresses were some of the most comfortable I've slept on
First off the view is amazing for an across the street villa. But the balcony has some loose guard rails and every single thing out there is covered in rust except the furniture. The carpet on the deck is disgusting and molded and should be removed. There is visible mold on the wall in the master bathroom behind the toilet. Inside was fine otherwise and we liked the setup. Keyless entry is so great.
Perfect location just steps away from the beach, with it’s own private access. While we had some challenges on the front end of the trip with Hurricane Ian, once we arrived, we had an awesome time and very comfortable stay while at Captain’s Village.
Best feature of the property is amazing view of ocean from front patio. Property was well equipped. Only issue is the roko television in the living area didn’t work properly.
Pros are good location from beach and great view from balcony. Comfortable beds with plenty of room. Pet friendly a plus. Decor was good but could use some updates. Too many fees - booking, service and taxes. We would probably stay there again.
The place met everyone of our expectations. It was clean, close to the beach and a view of the beach. Check in and chck out was seamless. And, appreciated very much that it was in a quiet neighboorhood. I enjoyed my morning walks on the beach with my dog and playing with my son in the afternoons. I would stay again.
