2BD/2BATH Villa! Near Beach! HHR Building 1!

The saving grace of this condo is the location and the amenities of the resort. Pros: close to the beach and an easy walk on the boardwalk. Nice pool. Food at the cafe by the pool was good for bar food. It was a bummer that Coco’s was not open while we were there but that’s the time of year. The owner provided a lot of towels for the bathrooms. Cons: The building we were in was pretty shabby. The entire stay, the elevator was broken. The stairwells had rust-eaten stairs with peeling rubber treads. The unit itself had a good location, but the primary bedroom was sunken a few inches below the rest of the condo. This makes me suspect there are some structural issues occurring in the building?? It took me by surprise when I walked in the room and I nearly fell, and it would definitely be a tripping hazard for the elderly. There were other annoying items of maintenance that needed attending to- the outlet didn’t work by the dining table, light over the sink didn’t work, light over the stovetop didn’t work, and the sink in the master bathroom was slow and filled up every time we used it. There is a strict rule about not hanging any beach towels from the balcony railing, but there is also nowhere else to hang them in the condo, so every free surface had a damp towel on it. Overall, what would entice me to return to the resort would be the location, price, and conveniences. It works for a family with young kids.

Unit was clean and had lots of amenities. Location was great for us. This apartment faced the pool but we never had issues with noise. It was very quiet. We enjoyed being near the pool. The beach boardwalk was very nice. We had pizza delivered one night and that was also very simple. It felt safe at the complex and we would visit again.

The condo was well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. The property is well maintained and quiet. The people were very friendly. As two retired senior citizens, we felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed our week. Hopefully, we can do it again next year.

We had a very nice stay at HHR. The property was well maintained, clean, and quiet. We found everything we needed to cook meals in and cleaning basics to get us started for the week. Nice not to have to run out to the store the minute we checked in. Just two comments: Wish we could have gotten final instructions for check in 48 hours in advance instead of 24. The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. Neither of these would prevent us from booking this property again - but both would add value. Thanks for sharing your property with us!
