This stay was disappointing and did not match the listing. It was advertised as a private apartment, but it felt much more like a hotel.We were charged a 100 late check-in fee for arriving after 12:00 a.m., even though there was a desk person available 24/7. Because it was labeled a “private apartment,” there was also a concierge there at arrival. She was helpful, but some of the information given was misleading. She mentioned complimentary drinks, which were not actually complimentary because there was a 4 service charge, and the only option was a watered-down red sangria.Our flight was delayed, which made the late fee even more frustrating. We also found out there was an extra 35 per night fee to use the pool, and the pool was partially under construction, which was never disclosed. The balcony view also faced two buildings under construction.There were no extra towels in the room, and when I contacted the host, he did not offer to help. We were also told there would be water bottles in the mini fridge, but there were none, and the host disregarded that as well.The elevators were extremely slow, and one stopped while we were inside. The screen went black, and we were stuck on level 10 for about two minutes before it started working again. After that, an elevator technician had to accompany guests on rides.Overall, this stay was mid for the price, and I would not stay here again.

Communication with the property management company was great. Check-in felt a bit off. Having to meet with a property representative and continuously being asked what time we were going to be there..only to meet someone who barely spoke English and then asked for ID and handed it to the hotel check in staff. Be prepared to spend a daily resort fee that includes pool and workout amenities. The pool closed at 7pm so check in at 4pm and checkout at 10am the next day limits the time to enjoy one of the perks of this property. They offered two complimentary drinks, which required a service charge. Why? The location is great. Value for the money after mandatory cleaning fee and daily amenity fee wasn't great. They also don't allow any outside beverages in the pool area. I had a red bull that I was drinking and was told I needed to finish or pour out (probably so I had to buy theirs with an added service charge by the pool)

The only 2 things I would comment on is:1. Sheets smelled sour, like they been left in washer too long.2. It would be nice if owner would have supplied some coffee, I’ve stayed in several VRBO’s for years and it’s the first place that a few pods or ground coffee was not provided.The hotel staff went above and beyond being helpful and kind and we loved the location. The bus system was easy to figure out. We were about 20 minutes from airport and about 20 minute bus ride to south beach (depending on time of day and traffic) I would definitely recommend.
