The condo was excellent. Nice and quiet. Close to everything you need to have a wonderful vacation and worry free accommodations.
No directions, No map, didn't know I needed a QR code until after driving around and around for an hour and a half or so around the complex. The gate keepers finally gave me an idea where to go and we went into the hotel area and the lady would not help us ( by now it's dark), she said she could not help us because we were VRBO. So she pointed in a direction she said we should go and the only real piece of great info was we needed a QR code! Just now hearing about this I call VRBO and they call the nice owner. I FINALLY got a QR code to get into the parking garage. He also sent me a map and directions. I learned a valuable lesson though. WE were not given anything, although I thought we had the address.... so many hours later we finally make it to the room lesson is: make sure you have ALL of the details before you leave your house or you might end up in a wildchase. AND it was not right on the beach .... Like they said. It was about a five minute drive. Yes the San Destin resort owns some land beach front, but it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. Also, one last thing I wish someone would have shared with me.... It's 3rd floor, it's beautiful, but don't drink the water in San Destin!!!! It's toxic.
This is a great property! Originally, we thought we booked something oceanside. However, we ended up bayside, but it worked out for the better. The beach is easily accessible with your own vehicle or by shuttle. Our balcony overlooked the conference center, and the main path to Baytowne Wharf/The Village. The pool is walk in and perfect for small children and parents. The decor is aesthetic and minimal (also, good for small children). There were plenty of towels, and we had everything that we needed, plus some. It was a clean place. Our host, John, was very attentive and made sure that we had a good stay. Overall, an amazing place to stay when enjoying the emerald coast.
