Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying at the Galvestonian, and we'll definitely return! Property was just as described & pictured online & we appreciated the location being away from the crowds. Only negatives: our wifi didn't work initially, but the front desk addressed quickly & do wish the property had a washer/dryer. Otherwise, wonderful stay!

The landscape was very well done. The personnel were professional and responsive to our every request. This unit is very well done. The beds were especially comfortable. Linens were good quality. The kitchen equipment (pots/pans/coffee maker) were well used but functional. Great deck chairs that are bar stool height, polywood and very comfortable. This unit is at the end of the walkway so very quiet (no foot traffic). We will be back!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying at The Galvestonian & have come for a number of years with our family. We have always brought a tent, chairs, beach games & folding table to put on the beach & were allowed to put them on a wagon & place overnight in their storage area. This year on the second night of our stay, we were told that we could no longer store our things there because it was for residents only. There was plenty of room in the storage area, so that was not the problem. I checked the rental agreement & there was nothing said about this “new policy.” We rent multiple units to accommodate our family, and as much as we have enjoyed The Galvestonian, we will seek other accommodations for next summer. There is no point in paying this much money & not being able to store our beach items. I honestly think this was not a new policy & the employee did not want to go to the trouble of unlocking the storage area. On a positive note Jose, Christian & Ana were very professional & helpful in making reservations, check-in & check out - all great employees & assets to The Galvestonian.
