Stayed Apr 17, 2025Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Galvestonian does not disappoint. From friendly, helpful staff to cleanliness of grounds, facilities, and our condo unit - we had a wonderful vacation getaway from Houston. Our only disappointment is all the glass topped tables - noisy, and a little scary if you drop or bump into them - and no placemats or table linens to offset the clanking of dishware on the surfaces.

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: disappointed because of Tropical storm Francine. I wanted to spend time on the beach and the company contracted to put up the chairs and umbrellas would not do it. There was no dangerous wind, but they said they didn't meet the minimum requirement of requests. They were not pleasant to work with on the phone and so I missed my beach vacation, which is the whole reason I stay at The Galvestonian. So I tried to sit by the pool and they finally did put up umbrellas, but there was so much construction noise that it was less than ideal. Bottom line is that I miss the days when the hotel put up its own beach umbrellas, even if the request was last minute. I will check on this before I re-book. Love the hotel, though.
