Torch Lake Sandbar FUN!! Pontoon available. Amazing views from our clean Hot tub

The cabin was cute and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect, snd the views from the cabin and surrounding property were absolutely gorgeous. Absolutely reccomend this place!!!

This cottage is off the beaten path but very nice. Views from the house are breathtaking from the house and the trails. The new hot tub on the front patio was our go to sunset location. We grilled out on the patio almost every night as well. The hosts were exceptionally attentive and made sure we had anything and everything we needed. Definitely a place to come back to.

Everything great experience great communication definitely would recommend and will be returning 5 stars.

We had an amazing time during our stay. The hot tub on the deck overlooking a broad valley with all the beautiful colors of fall was breathtaking. We were able to enjoy some nice walks around the vast property and could truly unplug. Since everyone has a limit to how much they will unplug, we were pleased to find the Chalet equipped with fiber internet and a smart tv. While the property is very rural, and our first impressions of the road leading to the property made us question what we had gotten ourselves into, everything was wonderful. We could use it as a base of operations on some Northern Michigan adventures and then unwind in the hot tub at night. Of course, we found the Chalet so cozy and peaceful, we limited our adventures more days than not. Great news, you don’t have to have an adventure to enjoy the hot tub, it is a pleasant and relaxing experience even if you were already relaxed!We would love to stay again, the hosts were responsive when we needed something and pleasant to work with. I would recommend a stay here to anyone, although that would make it harder to book our next trip, so maybe I should keep it a secret after all.

Had a very nice time staying here for our anniversary weekend. It is private and relaxing with restaurants and stores close by. We would definitely book this location again.

WOW! That's the word I would use to describe this property. My wife and I loved this location, far enough away to feel secluded but not too far from places we wanted to see (Torch Lake 10 Minute Drive). Really enjoyed being able to relax in the hot tub after a day trip and enjoy the sun sets. We were able to talk to the owners a couple times and they are the best! They showed us some views on the property that were nothing short of gorgeous. Michigan is quickly becoming our go to destination and this property will be a repeat for us!

Lovely spot with lots to offer nearby. We felt so comfortable in the chalet and really welcomed by the hosts. They were great to communicate with and offered lots of recommendations. We really enjoyed the surrounding property and the hot tub was a great feature and so clean! Highly recommend renting the pontoon boat! Easy process and a great way to enjoy the lake. Overall a great, relaxing and comfortable experience!

What a special place - If you are looking to disconnect and enjoy some pure Northern Michigan this is your spot. We enjoyed hiking the property, bonfires, chilling in the hot tub overlooking the spectacular views, visiting local cities and of course boating on beautiful Torch Lake. Access to the boat and lake were seamless. Dale and Mike are lovely people and were so easy to work with. Cabin has everything you need… great family vacay!

Clean home and with a great view.

We stayed 5 nights & rate this a 10/10! Dale was great in communicating, flexible, and fun get to know. Having the pontoon boat for the Fourth of July was amazing on Torch Lake. We went to the state park to hang out on the beach and go swimming. In Rapid City had dinner downtown during the cherry festival. The steer was a cool surprise along with all the other wildlife we saw. The hot tub was wonderful and the view was priceless. We hope to be back next year. Take good care! The property is beautiful. The cabin is very comfortable and has everything one needs. The hot tub and view are extremely enjoyable and relaxing. It is a very peaceful setting. Dale is very responsive to any questions. We are planning to go back in December.

I took three of my best friends for a mom‘s relaxing weekend away and we had a blast catching up! A hot tub was the only requirement for my weekend and this place was perfect! Very easy to check in and out.

Our family had so much fun in the cute chalet, it was the perfect size! We also loved the hot tub and the view from it! Also we loved exploring the acreage and sledding the hills and alll the snow!!! Dale was super available and helpful, never had an issue, loved every minute of your stay!!

We had such a wonderful weekend at the chalet. The views were absolutely stunning and perfectly secluded. The location is perfect close to a few different lakes, Traverse City, Bellaire. The property was very clean and just the right size for a couple or small group. The hot tub was such a wonderful bonus. We were able to sit in it at night while it snowed and it overlooked some beautiful scenery. Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay for our romantic weekend stay. The owner was quick to respond and gave us some great recommendations. We can’t wait to come back this summer/fall.

We had a great time, the cabin had everything we needed. It was SUPER CLEAN. It smelled clean and was so cozy. The appliances were modern and we cooked all week. We felt we were miles from civilization, way up on the hill, but were only 5 minutes from town which had a few places to get whatever we needed. Meijer was only 25 minutes down the road too. The hot tub was FANTASTIC. We came in winter to enjoy the snowy winter wonderland, and exploring the huge property was so fun. Lots of spots for sledding with the kids. Dale was a great host, we also stayed at his other property in Seney in the UP last year, which was also fantastic. We'll definitely be back to either cabin in the summer or fall. It's probably gorgeous with the fall colors no doubt. We brought the kids, but next time we might have to do a romantic trip just the 2 of us. It's perfect for either or. Thank you Dale!

We had a wonderfully peaceful stay, with two feet of fluffy snow over four nights. The property is absolutely beautiful, a classic northern Michigan landscape. Each day we took several long walks with our dog, over the wide trails and hills, and the rest of the time we read, cooked, and enjoyed the hot tub while snow fell all around. We never left the property until it was time to go. Perfect!

Well i do not do booking on vacations my fincee does so there was a bit of a misunderstanding on my part but the property owners were understanding and very pleasant and helpful! If i needed anything like propane for the grill they were there with in 5 mins or s i would definetly check this place out for the summer time and the hot tub was great with a beautiful scene of the hills

The property was quite nice. The hot tub was amazing. It was nice and quiet and we had a few deer come right on up to the property. It was peaceful. The only thing I'd say was a problem was we followed the GPS and ended up driving right past where we were supposed to be and got stuck.

Arriving after dark the drive up the driveway to the cabin was fantastic! Immediately knew we would be high above the surrounding area. Hot tub was great. Cabin was very comfortable. Will be back!!!!!

We had a wedding to go to near Elk Rapids and stayed here. It was a beautiful house. My kids loved playing in the hot tub. The view was picturesque. We saw wild turkeys to my kids delight. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful stay here. Great location for day trips to Sleeping Bear and Petoskey. The house was well equipped. We loved using the boat and that we could bring our dog. Thanks for a great stay! :-)

We enjoyed our mini moon at this cabin! It was the perfect relaxing trip after our wedding. We loved all the recommendations from dale and the easy access to their boat! We will definitely be back! Thank so much much for the hospitality!

We had a wonderful vacation in Rapid City. The log cabin was perfect. We rented the pontoon boat and enjoyed Torch Lake. Very close to Traverse City and Charlevoix also! Would highly recommend this vacation retreat.

Husband, son and I had a lovely time here. Everything was as described/pictured and the cabin was very clean. We especially enjoyed being out on the deck - a hummingbird visited the flower boxes on the deck a couple of mornings. We also rented the pontoon boat for a day, highly recommend. Both Dale and Mike were super helpful. As other reviewers noted, the dirt road up to the cabin is a little tricky (some deep sand in places) but our front wheel drive van was fine. Water heater makes noise only when hot water is running, so not a big deal. Overall: hubs said this cabin might be his favorite VRBO place yet! Thanks Dale & Mike!

We had a lovely stay at the chalet. They have thought of everything you would need to be self sufficient. Bring your food & wine and you are all set. Loved we could bring our pets. The hot tub is a great perk too!
