The Forest Chalet with hot tub / lake / pool / games

What a wonder time our family had at the Forest Chalet. Andy and Michelle were the best hosts ! Their home is beautiful and clean. The decor is exquisite. Everything you need and more is right at your fingertips. They have thought of everything ! The downstairs game room with the 85 inch TV and a big popcorn maker was a BIG hit with the four boys, but so was the pickleball court and the hot tub. The hiking and dining were great too, but coming back to the Forest Chalet and all that was waiting for us there at the end of a day made this vacation our best yet !

Absolutely loved our stay at the forest chalet. The home was spotless and well stocked. Loved having linens included along with basic paper goods. Always nice having less to pack! The home was cozy and had so much to do to keep our families entertained. Loved all the modern upgrades on property. The managers were easy to communicate with. The only thing I’d suggest is adding a drying rack for dishes! Will absolutely be back.

Property was immaculate, clean and tidy beds, excellent amenities with everything functioning properly / as it should. A nice perk was that a lot of the lights had dimmer switches. Fans / split units for temperature control to your liking. We would and have discussed coming back again. Property owners were very responsive.

You want a nice house to sneak away for the weekend. This is your place. From grilling to hot tub and playing game. Or just sit out and watch the wild life on deck. Very nice place and would definitely book again!

The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms were super clean and bedrooms were spacious! They supplied basically everything for your stay.

This home was perfect for our winter getaway with our kids and their friends. The house is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The teenagers really enjoyed the hot tub, the game room, and hanging out in the loft. Everything about it is perfect! Great location too!

We had the best stay at The Forest Chalet! The house was super clean, cozy, and had plenty of space for all our guests. We were there celebrating my sister’s bachelorette before her big “I Do” in December and it couldn’t have been a better spot! There were so many fun things to do right in the house that we barely left. We had a taco night with margaritas by the basement bar and a movie night on the big comfy couch downstairs. The owners were so friendly and easy to communicate with, which made planning our weekend a breeze. We’d definitely love to stay here again!

This was a wonderful home- spacious, clean, and quiet!We especially loved sitting out under the porch on the deck in the mornings and evenings watching the local deer. We would definitely stay again if we come back to this area.

The experience with VRBO was great. The house was beautiful, clean and had plenty of outdoor seating. The house was close to many things so not a far drive for anything we did. I would definitely recommend and would stay again if I had the opportunity.

We had a wonderful time at Forest Chalet. We were comfortable and cozy with everything we needed, close to everything we wanted to see, our kids loved the games, and we got to say hi to a bunch of deer! They did not say hi back, which was probably for the best.

My two daughters and their friends stayed for a bachelorette weekend and had a wonderful time. They said the house and location was great. Loved the hot tub and deck to relax. They said there were deer walking around and it was truly an experience. Lake Harmony was beautiful and they had a nice dinner there. Tons to do in the area towns. Jim Thorpe was great and so was East Stroudsburg.

We had a very happy, relaxing get away. The house is located close to various places to visit. Jim Thorpe, Hawk Falls, a butterfly farm. The property was perfect for our family. The three levels of the chalet were what we needed. The amenities are well thought out. I really recommend this property if you are looking for a family get away.

The property was very nice! Our family had plenty of room to spread out! Great neighbor hood and host was super responsive to all questions.

Spacious living areas, attractively furnished and very clean. We were amazed that all beds were made when we arrived, which was wonderful after our long drive there. The three kids who were with us enjoyed all the games, and the men loved the huge TV for watching a couple games. Hot tub was especially nice after hiking and white water rafting, and s'mores by the outside fire were fun. We have stayed in other properties but this was the best.

The house was in a nice neighborhood and easily accessible. Desired activities were a short drive away, so proximity was great. The house was clean and as advertised, but could use a few things when considering the young children we had with us (1-4 yrs). Outlet covers, step stools for washing hands, child-oriented outdoor games (although the giant connect 4 was a huge hit!), yard cleanup (many stones and loose grass in the grassy areas where we wanted to play), and small deck chairs would be good additions. The wifi was great for a large group and the TV/Lounge setups were nice. It might be a good idea to have the cleaning team scan through TVs to log out prior guests from their access as we found some still connected.Overall, we enjoyed the stay and had fun at the pool, the beach and walking the neighborhood between vacation activities.

Our group had an amazing stay over the holiday weekend. The home was absolutely beautiful, full of amenities for all ages and super clean. The host was extremely accessible and willing to help in any way. The community had so much to offer for all of us. We can't wait to schedule our next stay.

We planned this trip to get are grown kids together. Each family member that entered smiled and said, “This is nice!” Great hot tub, fire pit and movie room. Also enjoyed the pool, lake and nearby walking trails. Shades of death sounds like a bad/difficult trail but it was actually my favorite. Host is very responsive. Highly recommended place to stay.

Beautiful setting, nice lake with kayak rentals and a nice beach area for the kids and a community pool too. If you rent a kayak, paddle board or pedal boat, make sure you have 20’s, that don’t accept bills over that or credit cards.

I did a short weekend getaway with family. We enjoyed the immaculate cleanliness of the house, many amenities and proactive communication and suggestions from the owner. I recommend the rental and look forward to booking again.

We had a great time at the Forest Chalet and are so grateful to have had our reservation accepted on such short notice. The house is immaculate, comfortable beds, and a super fun game room. We really loved our stay and would definitely go back again. The only slight issue was that it's listed as a five bedroom, though the Murphy bed upstairs is in a loft setting. Just good to know for future guests, and of course, we read the description quickly because we were in a crunch to book. Everything worked out very well in the end!!

Have booked this place a number of years now. Communication with owners was great. Check-in process was easy, place was cleaned and ready. We love the location. Small snafu with hot tub, but owners communicated and adjusted. We would go back and highly recommended!

I reserved this amazing property to celebrate my birthday with friends, and we had an incredible time, enjoying every moment of it. I must emphasize how fantastic the communication with the host was. He responded promptly and professionally, always ready to assist with anything we needed. If you're considering booking a cabin, I highly recommend this one!

We booked Forest Chalet for my daughter’s 22nd Birthday. There were 10 of us and our dog ( myself, my husband and 8 22 year olds) The house was perfect! More than enough room. The girls loved the lower level with all the games. They even popped popcorn. We were 25 minutes from blue mountain, which that’s where they went tubing. Communication was great with Michele. It was a perfect weekend. This house had everything you needed from stocked toilet paper, spices ,, even marshmallows for the fire pit.My daughter and her friends had a great weekend and thank you again Michele & Andy for being a fantastic host

The house was beautiful, very cozy and the neighborhood was very nice and peaceful. The house was also well stocked with all necessities. We would definitely stay at this house again. Perfect for a family getaway!!

The Forest Chalet was wonderful! We were there to celebrate the holidays with two families including four children 12, 9, 7, 4. The kids loved the basement game room and massive tv. The house had everything we needed and then some, it was one of the most well appointed houses we have rented. This may be a new tradition in the making at the Forest Chalet. Andy was also very quick to reply and helpful. Thanks for helping in making our weekend great!

The Forest Chalet was the perfect spot for our three generation Thanksgiving Weekend. The three levels, two inside gathering areas and bedroom set up was perfect for our crew. Our dog felt right at home with provided bowls.

Spent the weekend here with our 3 kids 9,6,2, and our in laws. The kids loved the lower level that featured arcade games, a HUGE TV for movie nights and their favorite shows. The lower level also could access outside where we spent most of our time playing games and in the hot tub. The home was very well kept and even had a starter stock of paper towels,tp,coffee and more. Hawk Falls was a 5 minute drive and a pizza shop and dollar general were 3 minutes away. Very convenient location and the owners were great communicating what to expect!

Property was clean and we loved watching the deer and turkeys. House was very spacious.

This house was wonderful for our stay. My wife and I, along with our 2 daughters, their husbands and our three grandchildren (ages 16, 10, and 6) stayed for 9 days in late July and early August of 2024. The hosts, Michele and Andy, were wonderful and very attentive to our questions. They were so easy to work with and helpful in so many ways. The house fit our needs perfectly.!! It is exactly as described and is well appointed. The community has a clubhouse with a large pool, a very nice beach and a lake where you can rent kayaks or paddle boats. It is close to Lehighton and Jim Thorpe with access to river rafting and biking along the Lehigh river. We had a great time on our family vacation, and would highly recommend this home.
