Swiss house on the mountain in St-Adolphe-d'Howard

Cosy mountain chalet-style house set in a small mountain estate, with views over the valley.
The ideal place to recharge your batteries, enjoy a ski or winter sports retreat, or get together with the family.
Ideally located 1h15 from Montreal, 30 minutes from Saint-Sauveur or Mont-Tremblant, or 15 minutes from Morin-Heights, it's the place to be for winter and seasonal sports enthusiasts. With ski resorts such as Les Sommets (20 mins), Belle-Neige(20 mins), Mont-Avalanche (7 mins), Mont-Blanc (20 mins)... There's something for every taste and level!

Accommodation :
On 3 levels you'll find an entrance room for coats, skis..., the master bedroom with slow-burning fireplace, walk-in closet (dressing room with washing machine, dryer, sink) and TV room which is also a second bedroom on the first level.

On the second level are the living areas, with the kitchen opening onto the dining room, living room and office spaces.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to concoct comforting and/or convivial dishes (raclette machine, waffle iron...), and opens onto the dining room with its large table. The dining area opens onto the terrace, with access to the sheltered 4-seater spa.
The sitting area features an old stone fireplace, ideal for games evenings, cocooning or TV (small corner TV). This level is completed by a space with two desks (reliable internet connection) and a full bathroom.

Finally, the last level, entirely open-plan, is a large attic bedroom with storage and games.

The two main bedrooms have Queen-size beds, the multi-purpose room (TV room) has a choice of a twin convertible sofa or futon-type mattress.

Parking:
The parking lot is cleared of snow regularly and is large enough for two vehicles or 3 small cars.
There is a small hill to climb to get to the house, so a vehicle with AWD or 4x4 is recommended in case of heavy storms ( If you arrive in the middle of the night and the town hasn't been plowed yet, you could snowshoe earlier than expected, about a 10-minute walk, this has happened to us once in 5 years).

Location of the house:
Located in the beautiful Laurentian mountain region, the house is ideal for enjoying the lakes and mountains, recharging your batteries in peace and quiet, or sightseeing.

Saint-Adolphe-d'Howard is renowned for its winter attractions (alpine ski resort, snowshoe trails, winter carnival, lantern flying, La Chèvre mountain bar with live entertainment, snowshoeing on Lac saint-Joseph, cross-country skiing, etc.), with Mont Avalanche just a 10-minute drive from our chalet.

Nearby you'll find Sainte-Agathe-des Monts (10 minutes by car) with its restaurants and bar, Saint-Sauveur (less than 30 minutes), Mont-Tremblant (34 minutes), Sainte-Adèle...

Winter in Saint-Adolphe-d'Howard is generally very snowy (known as the “snow belt” region), the parking lot is cleared of snow but you should plan to clear the steps and walkways, for the duration of your stay.

- It's available from January to April, so dates can be a little flexible compared to the information in the calendar. Don't hesitate to write to us.

- If you would like to stay for more than 60 days, please contact us for a discount. We rent out our house while we're away, so the longer you stay, the cheaper the nightly rate will be.
