Mountain Hideaway Offering Peace And Quiet, Yet Minutes from Callaway Gardens

This was our 2nd time staying at this lovely home! I love everything about this property. This home truly makes me feel relaxed and at peace. The owners are very kind, and make you feel like family. The home is fully equipped with anything you might need.

Well equipped cabin! Plenty of games, towels and blankets! They've added a TV to a bedroom, which was a nice touch! Deck has protruding nailheads and wobbly railing, but we enjoyed sitting there and watching the birds at the bird feeder. The only suggestion I would make would be to add in the notes that the loop is one way, so start at the left fork, and actually have the number of the cabin facing the direction of the traffic! We had to stop and ask for specific directions. Overall it was a lovely cabin and location, very quiet and many amenities. We would highly recommend this rental.

Honest Review: We booked this cabin for 2 weeks in February for 2.5K (with off season discount). I expected a wonderful experience but found a home that is in DESPERATE need of: Cleaning (layers (!!!) of dust, dirty walls, filthy carpet, refrigerator with dried blood). Maintenance (deck is unsafe). Appliances (antiquated and dirty). To Be Fair: the HOST was a nice guy. We refused to use the grill (filthy) and he agreed to replace it (since our option was the broiler). There are 3 levels but we only used the main level since I wasn't going to clean anymore.

Overall, it was a great location, lots of space that provided a good value, however i would perfer for more cleanliness and a deep clean. Some things we found during our stay - dirty dishes, dirty clothes in the washer (and no laundry soap), used toothbrushes and soap in the bathroom. Overall the place was mostly clean but the little details here and there were lacking. In addition, some repairs need to be made on the property - replacing wobbly railing for example.

The house was spacious and cozy. Plenty of supplies, towels, blankets, toys, books, firewood, water, etc. Unfortunately the house needed some serious attention to cleaning. I did reach out with my concerns and was refunded a day's stay. I do appreciate that but was very disappointed with cleanliness. I have no issues with some dust or even some deep clean items but a clean shower, kitchen and clean floors should be standard. The home is worh staying in. Hopefully the owner will be able to have the home properly cleaned for future stays.

The host and the house were very welcoming. There were lights left on for us which we really appreciated. The scenic drive to the house was just beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. Thank you for everything, we will be back

We had a wonderful stay at Mountain Hideaway. Michael was very responsive to our needs. The house was as expected and had everything we needed. It was stocked with coffee and bottled water which we great appreciated. The kids enjoyed foosball and the toys and books. I loved the location on the mountain. Overall 10/10 and would highly recommend. Also, the beds were comfy as well with plenty of space for us all to spread out over 3 floors.

We enjoyed our stay at this house. We had lots of room (3 bedrooms!). Kitchen facilities were good (thought microwave was a bit recalcitrant at offering lower than full power - but we figured an end run around that). Beds and bedding were comfortable. There were a few lights out in the overhead lighting/fan fixture, but we compensated by turning on the many floor lamps as needed in the evening. We would suggest to the host (who was a VERY friendly person!) that he put some of the extra blankets, sheets, and linens in a closeable container, so that there would be room to fit our clothes in the dressers and closets. All and all, however, a very fine place to stay! Quiet, comfortable.

Everything was wonderful!!! The host, Michael, was easy to communicate with. I have never stayed at a place with all the extras. Such as coffee, tea, paper goods and games. I would stay again. Great place for the family.

The little cabin in the woods was just what we needed. It was peaceful and very well accommodating. I enjoyed the balcony and drinking my coffee and looking at the trees. The house was very nice. The kitchen was well stocked and there’s a wonderful game room downstairs. I also loved having a washer and dryer downstairs. .

Great quiet location to get away for a weekend.

Property is well established in a neighborhood of eclectic condos. It is very well maintained, is very well established. And the owner has given a great amount of care and attention, time and effort to make it a very good stay. I have stayed at Ritz-Carlton before and this particular owner gives more attention to the details of the lodging than does the Ritz-Carlton. I definitely will stay at this unit again. I'm very grateful for the fine touches that this owner applies to this scenario if you reach for a something in the cabinet, it's already there. If you think oh no I left something at home, he already has thought about it. Great job whoever the owner is.

We took this trip as a way to relax and recharge before I had to go back to work for the new school year. It met our needs perfectly! While initially a little difficult to locate, the location was perfect. It was secluded and quiet and exactly what we needed. We look forward to coming back and staying here again!

We did a lot of cooking while we were here, and there was only two of us so the kitchen space was perfect. We hung out mostly in the den area, which was beautiful. The whole entire process was smooth.

First let me say just how pleasant Michael & Joanne are. They truly care about their guest. They demonstrate this by keeping a clean well stocked home. You really only need to bring yourself & your food. They even provide all types of coffee & tea and all the paper products you may need. My family & I really enjoyed our stay. I must say its quite tricky getting there, but it is a hideaway.

Accurately described, big, they have just about everything you could possibly need. Flowers and plants all around. We deer out back the first morning. The host was super helpful and communication was perfect.

This property was clean and appeared to be well maintained. The only negative was I didn't understand that the third bedroom was a loft room. However my adult son didn't object to sleeping up stairs. The owner provided vary types of coffee and tea and two types of coffee makers. Over all our stay was very good.

Near Callaway Gardens, Wild Animal Safari, great hiking and about anything you might wish to do in the area. The home is equipped better than average for children inside. (They loved the play area downstairs.) The deck outside is a bit rickety, but we were away on excursions during the day, so not overly concerning for our group.

The cabin was perfect. It was peaceful and relaxing. All the amenities were perfect.

This chalet was well-equipped with all the necessities for our family to get together for a wonderful week. The owners responded quickly to questions and sent detailed instructions for getting to the cabin and checking in.

Beautiful place! We loved the layout! Enjoyed the fire place downstairs and watching movies. Such a great selection of coffee included and paper products were appreciated! Also enjoyed the Callaway water waiting for us cold in the fridge! The host was so nice when we locked ourselves out of the unit and he was happy to help us get back in. So easy to work with! Perfect for my family of 5 plus 2 dogs. The fireplace and downstairs were cozy and plenty of things to do. Separate sleeping spaces is important for us. Hiking and restaurants less than 15 minutes away. Plenty of paper products and disposable ware so no one had to do dishes! Really enjoyed our stay and the owners communicated very timely.

My wife and I and our dog stayed here for three nights in March. We chose the property primarily because it is midway between FDR's Little White House and Callaway Gardens, the two attractions we visited during our stay. The place was bigger than we needed, so we had more than enough room. It is set in a pretty wooded area, and it was very peaceful. My only criticism is that it could have been a bit cleaner, and I think that was primarily due to the fact that it is much too cluttered with things that guests do not need, resulting in a lack of space to set one's own things while visiting. Otherwise, it was a great place, and I certainly would consider staying there again if my travels brought me back to this area.

The cabin is fabulous! David was super helpful, and my sisters and I had a fun, relaxing stay. I wish we had brought some grandchildren -- that lower level is like a toy store!

The chalet was atop a hill in the woods and you couldn't beat the absolutely gorgeous view! The chalet is very large with everything you could possibly need in terms of large rooms, kitchen area, and the like. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Cabin. Communication with the owner was easy and quick. We really loved the games and fireplace. The cabin is a quick drive to Callaway and Pine Mountain.

Nice home away from home for a weekend getaway with our family. Everything we needed. Older home with some dated rooms, but warm and welcoming for our stay.

Ample room and a wonderful place. The place is clean and well kept. Some reviews indicate that it is dirty. It was not dirty, but it's also not spotless and is an older house that has some aspects that are clearly dated (cabinets, beds). It's not a new spotless pristine place, but it also didn't feel unkept and dilapidated. One note, the mattress in the master bedroom is rather old and uncomfortable, but the rest of the beds are great. Overall, I would more than stay here again and we really enjoyed our time. The hosts are excellent communicators and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We planned our weekend for the Christmas lights at Callaway but had the unexpected pleasure of perfect timing to see the leaves changing. The cabin was the perfect location for our weekend. After a long day, we enjoyed a fire on the lower level while we played games and watched a movie. We would definitely book again!

We stayed for the weekend and always enjoy the Pine Mountain/Warm Springs area. We had everything we needed and the host was very responsive!

Something for everyone! My husband's 93 year mother enjoyed the great assortment of books and well appointed kitchen with everything needed to cook and serve and the cozy den. Great selection of coffee, tea, condiments, and spices. The only thing we couldn't find was aluminum foil! Our 30's great niece and her 9 year old daughter enjoyed the gameroom and TV downstairs. We all congregated there in the afternoon and evening. My husband and I enjoyed the comfortable master bedroom with TV, the rocking chairs on the wraparound deck overlooking the peaceful landscape and wished it were winter so we could build a fire in one of the fireplaces. Our home away from home was well stocked with all essentials plus some, absolutely everything we needed--well almost! My mother-in-law cut her finger and suprisingly we couldn't find a BandAid! We visited nearby Callaway Gardens, Animal Safari and Roosevelt's home during the day. An enjoyable and restful time was had by all and we didnt want to leave! We all agreed it was a place we'd like to return to in future and just stay home and enjoy our time together as a family.

We really enjoyed staying here. The location is perfect, the neighborhood was so clean and quiet and the view from the porch was beautiful. The cabin is larger than it looks. It was just me and my husband but this could easily be great for a family. I’d rebook without hesitation. The owners also had great communication and we had no issues.

Located close to Calloway Gardens. Not as clean as I like but okay. TV was not working. Owner is super nice and helpful. I was offered a small refund for the TV not working but I have not received it yet.

While the surrounding area was quite peaceful and lovely, we were somewhat disappointed in the cleanliness and age/wear of the building. The railing on the upper deck patio was in disrepair or loose and a danger to my toddler. Cabinet doors were loose, floor trim was in disrepair. The inside of the house needed a really good scrubbing and cleaning as we encountered animal urine stains and spiderwebs.

Everything was a breeze as well as communication. Everything that you could need was there if you may have forgotten even down to all cleaning products. My family has throughly enjoyed.

This cabin has it all. Right down to a deluxe coffee maker and a wide variety of coffees and teas to imbibe. Plus paper goods. Condiments. Comfortable furniture and a private deck facing dense forest. Unplug here. 5 stars
