The house was very spacious and clean. The two season room was lovely to sit out and enjoy the outdoor fall air. Well appointed in every way...the amazing view from the windows in the evening where incredible. We felt like the big dipper was right in our room....beautiful! If you want to get away and yet be very close to downtown, this is your place. We highly recommend. The hosts were very helpful. Thank you for everything, we would stay again in the future.

The place is wonderful. Very secluded but very accessible to towns in every direction. The home is gorgeous and the hosts were very responsive and check in and out seamless. Very nice set up for all of us and our little dog. Lots of space throughout and very well kept and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed evenings in the screened in porch area with fireplace which was isolated from the main living areas enough that we wouldn’t disturb the baby. We didn’t use the outdoor fire pit, but it’s very nice a very short walk from the house. The big open areas,in the main living space, do echo sound a bit, but no issue at all any other time of day. Beautiful light and gorgeous windows throughout, but sleeping in is a challenge, especially in Summertime. Bring a sleep mask if you’re hoping to sleep later than sunrise. The beds were very comfortable and lots of closet space etc. We would highly recommend the place for up to six adults and a pet. All in all a definite 5 stars.

This place is amazing! Beautiful indoors and out. We saw so many deer in the backyard and were just 5 minutes from shopping/restaurants. We really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back.

We had an awesome stay @ Lakewood Lodge!! Beautiful property and we felt right ar home. Very nice layout, loved the kitchen setup for entertaining, great appliances.

What a great property! My wife and I had our two sets of parents with us for a long weekend in DC. We loved having Lakewood Lodge as our home base for adventures around the county, as well as our refuge when it was time to relax, nap, or cook dinners in. We loved unwinding in the evenings in front of the three-season porch's fireplace with glasses of wine. Beds were all comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. The only thing that could have been better is that a few of the light bulbs around the house have clearly been replaced with (IMO) bulbs that are too bright from both a lumen and color temp perspective. If these had been softer and warmer, there would be literally no complaints. Loved it, hope to stay again!

The house is very clean and open. Great light in the morning and afternoons. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for your cooking needs. Overall great stay.

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our early winter stay in this beautiful home. The kitchen was well-appointed with plenty of dishware. A nice touch was extra spices and food wrapping material. Appliances were functional. The bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. We could enjoy the remote nature of Door County while being less than 10 minutes from Sister Bay. The hosts were super-attentive, contacting us several times before, during, and after our stay. This may become our new go-to house for our group's annual winter retreat.

Keeping it short and simple-this place is perfect if you like secluded Door County getaways. Even better that it’s dog friendly…our pups ADORED the property! Easy five stars

This place was the ideal Fall getaway spot for us. House was clean and well equipped and the location was perfect. Would book it again for sure.

We very much, enjoyed our 3 night stay in the woods. The location was very quiet and peaceful after a full day of exploring the sights door county. We had beautiful weather for our stay. Thank you for everything!

Mitch and Katie were great and very helpful/communicative! The checkin/checkout process was super easy and if we had questions they responded promptly. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, The all season room was great for buggy evenings, the backyard invited wildlife and the fire pit was a bonus! The home was lovely and we enjoyed it!!! A few things we noticed was that there weren't any dish rags or scrubs to wash the dishes that don't fit/go in the dishwasher along with hand towels. The WiFi didn't work 95% of the time and we didn't have service either. The deck in the back was falling apart and there was a hole over on the side by the all season room - we were quite nervous to walk on it. These seem like easy updates AND we enjoyed our stay and loved the home!
