Mia's Black Dog Lodge, a wonderful Chalet on Big Lake Chetac

My second time here for Christmas in 4 years! Awesome cabin, very clean and pretty, great location, quiet, beautiful.

Very nice clean property. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our 2 families which included 6 adults and 4 teens. We were in the area for a pheasant hunt, and the location was perfect, near the game farm. Loved the deck areas, and the view of the lake with the fall colors was beautiful. The downstairs family area was perfect for our kids to have their own space away from the adults. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities for cooking you would need and more. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely look to book again in the future.

What a great stay! The house is spacious, comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Great lake view/access and nice fire pit. Hosts Gerri and Bernie couldn't have been nicer. Perfect!

We had a very nice week at Mia’s Black Dog Lodge. Everything about the house was top notch. Seeing many eagles around the lake was a huge bonus! One even landed in a tree next to the dock. Fishing from the dock was great for the little ones. Unfortunately the algae prevented us from getting into the water. This is a wonderful location and the lake is beautiful.

The house is amazing. The hosts are very helpful and responsive. Absolutely loved it!

We are grateful for the beautiful home and accommodations this week--our annual family get away. Good fishing off the dock and on the lake, quiet mornings with coffee and babies on the deck overlooking Big Chetac. Such a blessing to be here--clean and well-kept. Was awesome

We (a small group of women friends) absolutely loved Mia's Black Dog Lodge for our annual spring girlfriend's getaway. It was super clean, comfortable, wonderfully furnished and decorated, and had everything we needed. A beautiful spot and convenient to town. We will return!

The absolute BEST rental property! Room and privacy for our family and meticulously kept. We will continue to come back yearly. Hosts are wonderful to work with!

We had a wonderful time at the lake house. So very clean. The owners were informative and easily contacted. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great family getaway at the end of summer. We enjoyed kayaking and as well as relaxing in the house. A crazy summer storm went through the area and the power was knocked out for several hours. Gerri checked in on us via text after the power went out—that was really thoughtful.

One of the best VRBO stays we experienced. Everything we needed, clean, and plenty of room. Gerri is an A+++ host. My family had a great time and my grandson caught his first ever fish. It doesn't get any better!!

We liked the cabin A LOT. Well furnished. Having 3 bathrooms was great. Fishing was ok. Despite sand bottom by shore, water was green and floating weeds so we weren’t in water as much would have liked. Very nice fire pit area. Hayward not too far away for family activities.

This was our second stay here & it was fabulous! The cleanliness of the home makes it a winner for me, along with the location, and being dog friendly. Bernie and Gerri are wonderful property managers & really take care of their guests. This spot has a special little place in our hearts!

Second year at this cabin on the lake. Wonderful place with great hosts. Planning again for next year.
