Massanutten Near Slopes, 2 Masters, Pool Table, Air Hockey, 2 FPs

The house was as pictured and very clean. Lots of space for everyone to spread out. We enjoyed the front deck for morning tea and evening drinks. The Wi-Fi worked very well, which was important to get some work done while there. Lots of fun things to do at the resort even with no snow (mini golf, water park, go-carts, summer tubing, etc.). We were in the area for a visit to JMU, and the location was convenient for a short drive into Harrisonburg. Check-in and check-out was easy, with clear directions sent in a timely manner. The owner was easy to work with, very accommodating, and extremely responsive. Thank you for sharing your lovely home, Kevin! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place at Massanutten or near JMU.

Overall a great stay! Location was perfect. The home was clean; maybe a bit outdated. For the number of beds/baths, additional linens would have been nice. We enjoyed the hot tub but the chemical was strong. We had everything we needed for a great getaway and would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay! From the moment we booked, the host was responsive and helpful with communication, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The property was exactly as described, clean, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We especially loved the game room, Although we didn't see an air hockey table anywhere, we did especially love the game room. It helped to keep everyone entertained during our downtime, which isn't always easy with kids ranging from 7-22 years old. The home definitely contributed to our relaxing and memorable vacation, and we would definitely recommend this property to friends or family and plan to book again! Thank you again for a great stay!

The house was quite lovely and clean. It seemed to have everything we needed. It was close to everything we wanted to do and we enjoyed the hot tub. I highly recommend staying here.

From our initial arrival at the property there were issues. The first call to the host was regarding the poor outdoor lighting and broken handle on sliding glass door.Kitchen - The knobs on the stovetop were greasy. Kitchen table chair was missing, but was found broken in a closet.Bathrooms- Mold on along the bottom of the master bathroom shower curtain. Another bathroom tub was dirty. Broken shower door on the 2nd floor bathroom was broken/leaking water on the floor.Laundry room - Exposed electrical outlet.Family room - mold in ceiling.My next interaction on the 2nd day of our stay was unsettling. We had the unfortunate experience of having 2 vehicles towed from the property. I contacted the host to obtain necessary details to retrieve the vehicles. The host acted as if he was unaware of the situation but followed up with the security number. After speaking with security he informed me that he contacted the host to inquire if the vehicles belonged to individuals staying at property. Security contacted the host approximately 2 hours later; and the host indicated he couldn’t get ahold of the guest & vehicles did not belong to his guest. Ultimately, our vehicles were towed while we were away based on his comments. I never received a call from the host. The only email I received was earlier that morning regarding checkout procedures. I called the host to ask why he didn’t call, text, or email me? He became irate, started yelling, and asked what did I want?

Everything was very clean and lovely. Easy check in/out. Great location, it was very quiet and private. All directions & instructions were clear and easy to follow.

We couldn't get the washer to work and there were maybe five drinking glasses. Also, the downstairs stove got scary hot very quickly. Other than that, great!

The house was spacious, clean, and very inviting. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook homemade meals. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable to sleep in. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a great house for a JMU homecoming trip. My husband and I and my son and his friends (jmu alumni) had a great time with plenty of room. It’s a lovely neighborhood and house is very roomy and has everything you need. We will be booking again for next year.

Nice quiet home with a lot of space

Had some normal wear but was very clean. Fully stocked for our cooking needs. It was near stores for shopping and something to do. One was the water park and zip line were great. Had a lot of fun.

Overall property was great. Just need more thorough cleaning of the rugs and floors. As they were little dusty. Small fixes required in the upper level bathroom. Location was great, it took us 5 minutes to drive to the mountaintop for a great view. Family-friendly, nice deck to sit for over 10 people and entertain outside.

Had a great time on our Massanutten getaway! The check-in was simple and check out was just as easy! The house holds 12 comfortably and the kitchen has everything you need! There are plenty of games and activities for kids! Though we try a different location each year, if we return to Massanutten, we’d stay there! Thanks, Kevin!!

We had a variety of groups of guests. All could find a comfortable spot. Previous reviews of the property are accurate. We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Massanutten.Kevin was a helpful host, even sending someone with new propane tank on a Sunday evening!Thanks

House was clean and as represented online. Host , Kevin, was responsive to any questions and very helpful. Close to everything we needed. Love having all the bathrooms. Kids and adults loved the game room. Kitchen very nice and well equipped.

The property was perfect for our family. Seeing the deer and hearing the numerous variety of bird song was an added bonus!

House was exactly what we were expecting and looking for. Great place to stay.

The place was more open than we expected which was nice so we didn’t feel cramped since we had 4 different families there. There was plenty for the kids to do. They had a hottub which we didn’t know about till we got there. So easy to check in and out. Very nice place to stay 10/10

We loved the layout of the home, and the spaciousness. It was tastefully decorated, and very comfortable! We all had so much fun downstairs playing with games, pool, and the big hit was the pacman machine! We will plan to stay there again.

We loved our stay here! It was the perfect home for the seven adults and two kids we had in our party. Definitely would stay here again as it had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin had everything we needed and it was very clean.

We stayed here for a long weekend for our daughter's 5th birthday. We wanted somewhere large enough for our family as well as our friends. Having access to your own bathroom too was a plus. The property manager contacted me prior to about some issues with the property 3 days before our arrival. We were flexible and he was efficient in taking care of things. The property is very clean. The bedding and decor had my mom friends and I googling to find the lamps from a couple of the bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay,. I have sent to my sister in law so they can book their stay as well.

Family snow vacation; skiers, snow boarders, and tubers all had great time. We even had a couple of teens spend the day at the water park. House was very convenient and clean. Unfortunately the photos of the rooms are old. Living room only had seating for 3 people and there were only 2 dining room chairs that could be moved to provide more. No air hockey, but there was the addition of a PacMan video game. There was plenty of dishware, but very few glasses. All in all a good experience, but updating photos and description would be helpful.

My husband and I took our adult children and grandchildren to Massanutten resort for weekend of snow tubing and just relaxing family time after the busy holiday. The house was perfect for our family and met all of our needs. Plenty of room for all of us (11 total) the fireplace was nice as a winter storm approached the area blanketing us with cold and snow we stayed warm and toasty as we watched snow fall from the big windows. Location was great and house was just as described. Would definitely recommend!

Went to Massanutten for light up the park and Santa’s workshop. Grandkids got Christmas from pops and Nannie. Went tubing at Massanutten. Dinner at Ceros Italian restaurant. Kids enjoyed toys watched a Christmas movie. Had a great time. Bonus because it snowed

Large house with great lay out for multiple families or ages. Comfortable beds and nice location in Massanutten resort. The host was very responsive to questions.

Everything was great except we were a little disappointed when we finished up early one day and went back to relax at the house only to discover that the air hockey table didn't work and the pool table was missing a ball and there was one semi usable cue and no chalk. If I could ahve I would give a 4.5 rating.

We came up to see our daughter during JMU’s parent’s weekend and it was a perfect situation. Only 11 miles from the school and very large and spacious. Our daughter stayed with us too. There’s a great game room with pool and air hockey. Definitely recommend, especially for those with large families or lots of friends.

It was just what we needed to hangout with friends for a few days of games

Plenty of space and entertainment for 4 adults and 4 children. Owner was responsive to questions. Plenty of nice fluffy towels. We had a nice relaxing weekend.

Limited parking became an issue. We had 3 families staying and 4 cars. There wasn’t enough room in the driveway without parking on a very steep incline. We had to park on the road and then ran into issues with security. Otherwise it was perfect in every way.

We had a great time in Va at Cedar Chalet this week. The area was lovely and the home was a great space for my family. The kids especially loved the game room. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you

We so much enjoyed this home. There was plenty of space for our family of 5 adults and 3 kids. The home was clean and check in easy. I sent a couple of questions to the owner and received quick reply's. Close to everything at the resort. Highly recommend this place.
