This classic chalet-style cabin is set back from the street at the end of a court on a beautiful wooded lot... one of the largest in Massanutten. It backs to common space and has ample privacy, yet is minutes from all Massanutten activities and amenities.

The cabin features over 2500 square feet of indoor living space, a brand new kitchen (2023), a wrap around deck, and screened in porch. It's a great space for families, small groups, and kids of all ages.

The cabin has three levels of living space, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a well-appointed and beautiful kitchen, a walk-out basement, rec room, a playroom for the kids, a flat driveway (a luxury around here in the winter), screened in porch, and a large wrap-around deck.

- For the kids - Inside
Every vacation home has a few board games and a deck of cards (this home is no exception), but we know how excited our own kids are when they find something new... so our playroom is stocked with blocks, dinosaurs, cars, trains, puzzles... etc. So there is plenty to keep even the little ones entertained on a rainy day.

- For the kids - Outside
And if its not a rainy day We know that families come to Massanutten to enjoy the outdoors, and since our lot has such great outdoor space we wanted to provide a few options for the kids right here at the house. We've set up a low ropes triangle and balance beam and have plenty of wooded space for the kids to play. We also have cornhole boards and bean bags for your use at the house.

- Amenities -
We designed and furnished this cabin with our own family in mind. We love the outdoors and open spaces, and we love the look of exposed beams and the classic chalet-style cabin... Inside we wanted CLEAN (our home ALWAYS will be) and we wanted modern decor and amenities. and a fully stocked beautifully renovated kitchen for all your culinary needs.

- Things to do -
Our welcome packet includes many pages of recommendations for family friendly activities in and around Massanutten. We've done it all, and pointing you in the right direction so you get the most out of your vacation is our specialty! We're located smack in the middle of Massanutten Resort, not more than a couple of minutes from all resort activities including the ski slope, indoor/outdoor water park, rec centers, year-round tubing, two golf courses, go-karts, mini-golf, ice skating (seasonal), horseback riding, fishing ponds, playgrounds, and fantastic hiking. And of course, you can venture outside the resort to the nearby Shenandoah National Park, Shenandoah River, Luray Caverns, local wineries, lavender farm... etc. Options for outdoor entertainment in The Valley are endless.

- We make it easy -
We always provide our guests with linens and towels, dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, and other cleaners. We also provide starter sets of paper products like paper towels and toilet paper. Although we don't inventory other items, some essentials often stay stocked such as assorted spices, cooking oil, sweeteners… etc.

-Eligibility - Must be 25 to rent.

- Massanutten Community Rules -
The following community rules are, by design, intended to allow for your quiet enjoyment as well as our neighbors. This house was in an excellent location, very clean, with a decently stocked kitchen. It is especially well suited for younger kids. We stayed with our (very tall) teens and family friends with teens over New Years and it worked well for a few nights, with a couple of them sleeping on couches in the basement.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property for a short family getaway. The property is clean and has so many thoughtful details to make for a magical stay, especially for families with children. While we visited the water park and Luray Caverns we truly could have never left the cabin and had just as an entertaining stay. This is definitely a property our family would visit again!

The property was nice. Clean interior however, the exterior needed some TLC. The kitchen had a dorm size microwave oven, not a family size; couldn’t microwave our Costco Rani casserole in it. There were no, none, wash cloths anywhere in the house. Fortunately we bought our own. The sloped ceiling in one of the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom were problematic because someone was always bumping their head! There were no extra comforters or blankets. The upstairs bed covers were thin. The most comfortable bed was the one downstairs. These drawbacks did not diminish the fun we had doing fun activities on the resort property. Everyone must checkout the Family Adventure Park! We biked and walked on bike trails, zip-lined, went swimming and ate at Hanks. We will be back in Massanutten next summer for more fun.

This house is perfectly set up for babies and toddlers. The toy nook upstairs and playroom (with air hockey table) were big hits- we had a 7 month old and two three year olds. It’s super close to the water park and ski slope, so you won’t run out of things to do on a family vacation.

We had a wonderful time in Massanutten during our Christmas holiday. Matt & Katie have the house set up nicely with good sleeping beds & plenty of toys & activities downstairs in the playroom for the kids to do. The TV in the downstairs room was a great asset for the family to hang out together & watch a movie. Matt was quick to reply to any of our needs & we would recommend their home for your mountain visit for sure!

When the listing says kid friendly, these hosts mean it. We traveled with a tween and teen that were bummed we didn't stay here when the were younger. The place is well furnished, comfortable, and clean. They have toys for the younger crowd. A wonderful zip line. And baby items - gate, high chair, etc. Funny hey the baby gear fool you into thinking this is only a rental for kids. The living room was comfortable with a locker couch and relaxing views. The kitchen has everything you need to make a nice meal, The host was responsive and friendly. Answering all my questions and they provided a great guide to the area.We would definitely stay at this property again. The kitchen hadBooks,

We had a small stay with terrible weather, but the owners are right that there are a TON of toys for the kids and we didn't have any complaints. The best part is the basement with the toys is separate from the bedrooms, so the kids can play without having to wake up all the adults.

We had a great stay close to home so the drive short but felt like worlds away. View in the mountains in the fall was amazing and the house met all of our needs. It was close to lots of things to do and my granddaughters loved all the toys the house had. We had an issue with the home that couldn't have been expected but the owner responded and fixed it immediately. We would have enjoyed a TV in the livingroom on the main floor but that's not a critisizm just a preference and maybe a few more blankets for the beds in basement or knowledge there weren't any and we would have brought our own. Loved the house and will be back for sure.

A great place for a long fall weekend as a family. The house was very clean - one of the very rare VRBOs we’ve stayed at where my son doesn’t leave sneezing due to dust. Our kids loved the zip line, rope course and jumping in the leaves, along with the air hockey table. Great launching point for both the water park and Shenandoah NP. Only fyi, bring soap for the shower and coffee beans/pods. We had them with us, so wasn’t an issue. We would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing stay with our 5 and 8 year old. They loved the zip line and the playroom and all the toys downstairs makes me never want to book a house again without those! The kids were constantly entertained! We had everything we needed for cooking and really enjoyed many activities in the area like the water park and Luray caverns. My kids are already asking to go back!

This house was so fun for kids!! They had so many toys and things for kids to do. The zip line and ropes were awesome and nothing crazy. We had ages 7,6,2, and 9 months and it was great for those young ages. Wish there would have been a grill, but we knew from the listing that there was not and decided to make the trade off for the kids friendly things! My biggest complaint was that it wasn’t the cleanest.
