Make The Pistachio Nut Your Summer Getaway!!!

We had such a wonderful trip and stay at the Pistachio Nut. Michael was super helpful and welcomed us to show us around. This is better than any other rental you will find, hands down. Not just for the arcade room which will blow you away. We will definitely stay there again.

Had a great stay! Had everything we needed for the stay. Kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped and the living room was comfy. Our 7 year old loved the game room! We would definitely return.

Our two granddaughters 7 & 9 had a blast! Lots to do here. They swam, rode there bikes, rode ponies, petting zoo, played on playgrounds and of course shopped. Lots to do. Mike was a great host! Fun was had by all. Arcade was a hit with them and my husband.

We had such a great weekend at the Pistachio Nut! The home is so cozy and beautifully maintained. The hosts were welcoming and available and had truly thought of everything to make our stay seamless. They provided everything we needed, from cold bottled water to fun games, a well-stocked kitchen, and comfy beds. The house was so easy to navigate: uncluttered and well labeled. We are really hoping to return sometime in the future!

House was nice and clean and had everything you’d need for a weekend getaway! The host was pleasant and available for any questions we had. The arcade room was a huge bonus for my 11 year old! Location was great as well, close to all the fun activities we had planned for the weekend.

Mike, our host, is an amazing guy. He’s thought of everything and could not be more welcoming. The house is perfectly remodeled. Cozy, clean, and complete. every detail covered. Game room is an added bonus!

We had a wonderful long weekend at the Pistachio Nut. The owner Mike lives next door and is very helpful and can answer any questions you have about the house or surrounding Area. He was able to make some great diner suggestions to celebrate my MIL birthday. The arcade was a hit and has all the classics- my son was in heaven. The home has so many special touches and is very clean and you can tell they have put a lot of time and love into making sure you have everything you need. The kitchen is equipped with all you could need and even had bottle water, seasonings and coffee for us to use. The bathrooms were stocked with items you may have forgotten which was so nice! We felt so at home and can’t wait to return.

The stay was awesome. The online listing didn't completely justify how great this place was. The host communicated immediately from the booking through the checkin. Had a great experience staying at The Pistachio Nut. Mike, the owner, was friendly and easy to communicate with. I had a couple questions before our trip, and they were answered very timely. The house itself was very nice. Clean, comfortable, had everything we needed. Loved the arcade room. We were there for a JMU graduation, and it was an easy distance to campus. Highly recommend!

We loved the Pistachio Nut! The game room was a blast for the whole family and the living room is set up for hanging out and relaxing. Mike is very kind and helpful and has really set up a lovely rental. Definitely a great place to stay while at Massanutten resort!

Loved our stay! Renovations to this property are great.lived the amazing game room. Fireplace was amazing. Owners stock this house with almost everything you need. Spices, baggies, coffee, hot chocolate and some bottled water in the fridge. Soap in both bathrooms. Towels and linens were top notch.check the linen closet across from downstairs bath for hair dryer. Bring your laundry win shampoo. Had an issue with downstairs shower but owner was on it immediately! Upstairs shower is like a European shower which isn’t great for short people who don’t want to get their hair wet but we would absolutely stay here again.

We had the best time at the pistachio nut. This was probably one of the cleanest properties we’ve ever stayed at. Beds were comfy, kitchen was fully stocked and the arcade was a blast. The property manager did meet us and gave us a tour before heading off. It was actually very nice and he was an extremely pleasant individual. We will definitely be back next year!

My best friend and I rented this adorable place and can’t stop talking about it! Mike the owner is a true pleasure to communicate with. He’s thought of all the little touches that make this place so special and we’re already talking about planning a return visit in 2025. It’s convenient to all things Massanutten and the game room is such a fun touch. The coolest thing about this place, beyond the renovations that blend modern amenities with original-build character, are the two deer that visit the yard multiple times a day to graze. This place is special.

Our family came to the area to visit Shenandoah National Park. This was a great place to stay toward the middle of the park that had beautiful drives in every direction. The house was very clean and our kids LOVED the game room!

The place was amazing and accommodated everything we were looking for! We wanted a weekend getaway to binge watch movies and play games with each other. TV was great for movie watching, the arcade was awesome and my dad able to re-live his galaga days, rooms were nice and cozy, and the fire place was very easy to use! I think my only draw back is the pillows weren’t the best, they were pretty stiff and not very comfortable. Some of us opted to use the couch pillows Michael was very nice and accommodating, also is a great conversationalist. He’s made the home very easy and simple to use. If you had any issues to questions he’s a text away and also lives right next door Overall loved the property, enjoyed our stay, and are considering making this property a yearly getaway spot

Everything here matches the description and photos exactly, Michael is a great host. The house is fantastic.: very clean, the main room is very cozy and the beds are comfortable. Bath towels are super soft! Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

This was a lovely property! We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is a great size. The deck is a nice place to sit and take in nature, I even had a chipmunk come up to me. The place is very well kept and the owner is very friendly!

First of all let me just say that the property was immaculate, inside and out! We received a warm welcome from Mike who gave us a detailed tour of the property. There was an attention to detail, right down the the condiments in the cupboards. The location was very convenient to a number of eateries and scenic spots. I would highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a clean, spacious place to stay.

Mike's Pistachio Nut' was awesome. The house was very clean, and we loved the game room down stairs. It had many of the popular video games my wife and I played in the 80's. The outside gas firepit was a nice feature we enjoyed. We are already looking at our schedule for next fall to book the Pistachio Nut again. Thanks again Mike for your magical mountain retreat.

The Pistachio Nut was a great location for our family to get together for an event at James Madison University. The property was immaculate and comfortable and our adult kids loved the video games. This was not our first visit to Massanutten but we would definitely return. The owners were easy to communicate with and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Cannot give enough stars to this property and property owner! The home is spotless, newly renovated, and very spacious. Property owner had so many thoughtful provisions throughout the home that were perfect. Easy check-in/out steps too. Such a beautiful area with so many things to see/do and only 15-20 minutes to Harrisonburg/JMU.

House is pretty great. Kitchen is well stocked, even bottled water in the fridge. Bed was very comfortable. Main living are was cozy and very nice. Game room downstair was so cool. The house was very clean and Michael was very nice and informative. I would highly recommend staying here.

This was a wonderful warm cozy home that we will always try to stay at when we are visiting the area. The owner’s go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for your vacation. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

The location is great, located in Massanutten Resort but not too far from the main road. We enjoyed the arcade games with our little guy! Overall, it is a great place and I highly recommend it!

We had a great stay at the Pistachio Nut. Mike was a helpful, welcoming host. The house well super well equipped with nice linens. We loved the game room and the size was perfect for our family of 5. Easy for trips back and forth to JMU for move in and we were also able to take advantage of some of the mountain activities. Will definitely look to stay here the next time we visit.
