Very cool lake house - the lake is beautiful and the house is nice. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the back yard fire pit. Kitchen is pretty modern and up to date, and the beds were comfy. No complaints. We would stay again

The house is great - it has two separate structures which is really nice for bigger families or grandparents and kids like ours. The lake is beautiful. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the lake was great. It was too cold for swimming still, but in the summer this would be a great house for swimming and boating right in the back yard. They must have changed cleaners since a prior review bc the place was very clean too.

We had a really nice stay overall and would definitely recommend this property, especially for the location. It strikes a great balance between feeling secluded while still being close to stores and essentials, and most activities were within a quick 15–20 minute drive if not less.The outdoor setup was a highlight — the dock seemed new and well done, and there was a great selection of water equipment like kayaks (we just didn’t get to use them due to the weather). The hot tub was also in great condition, and the fire pit, grill, and Adirondack chairs created a great space to relax and hang out.Inside, the house was well stocked with basic supplies and had a nice assortment of games, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy our time.The main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that some areas of the home could have been cleaner and felt a bit worn. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, and the bathrooms weren’t ideal.Overall, there were a lot of positives and we really enjoyed our stay — addressing the cleanliness would make a noticeable difference.

The house was nice with a wonderful dock to enjoy the lake. The guest house has a nice game room and plenty of beds with a nice view from the second floor. The host was great AB's vet responsive.

Great location; close to shopping, skiing, casino, ice fishing. Kitchen had everything we needed. Firepit, hot tub and lakefront setting were enjoyed by our friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay and Michael was very quick to respond throughout our trip. We had an issue with the hot tub and a lack of hot water in one of the showers. Overall we had a great vacation and we would stay here again.

The host was very accessible and responsive to our needs. However the house was dirty and definitely needed some updating and better appliances. We could have used some washcloths and bath mats. The view was beautiful and we had alot of fun!

Upon check-in, one of the porch lights simply didn't work, there were plugs dangling, and certain light switches throughout the property either didn't work or were non-functional. The floor was filthy, with dirt, dust, food, and we discover broken class and random items swept under places. The bathrooms had black mold around the edges and in the tub jets, and the one tub had rust and corrosion reactions going on around the drain. The shower liners were dark colors. The host offered to send the cleaners back out and a 50% to the cleaning fee. It was never cleaned to start with. Vrbo found the host's response fully acceptable. After I and others of our group got sick and had to leave early, say it is not. What say you?

The property has so much potential to truly be 10/10. My spouse found the property due to its lakefront location but had I read the previous reviews I would have had second thoughts about booking the property. Overall the property needs MAJOR cleaning. However, in reading previous reviews, the owner states he hires professional cleaners and during our stay some packages were delivered for the “cleaners”; to this I would say…the owner is being ripped off by the cleaners because the property was not clean.

Loved having the hot tub but didn’t use as much as we thought we would. Lovely view of the lake. Main house did the job for our stay but cleanliness I would under rate. Lots of dust bunnies and cob webs. Landscaping looks neglected. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. Even with the few negatives we had we would stay again.

Filthiest and most disappointing property I’ve visited for a “vacation.” Not at all as described. Broken fixtures and doors, shoddy appliances, dirty and unpainted walls, cords hanging from the ceiling, mold in the showers, hair in the kitchen, trash on the grounds, and so much grime on windows that someone thought it’d be hilarious to draw dirty messages and “art” on them, which was unfortunately seen by the young kids in our party. Not exactly “family friendly” as listed. Looked like the place wasn’t cleaned or checked for a year, nor updated for a decade—pictures and description were completely deceiving! Ping-pong table was broken, and the hot tub was old, dirty, and smelled foul. “Game room” nothing more than a large closet with busted ping pong and an air hockey table shoved against it—not nearly enough room to play both, even if both were functional.Overall was so bad that we didn’t complete our stay, and when we tried to recoup some of our money, VRBO and the owner were no help, saying that the issues were “minor.” How in the world this was rated “excellent” on VRBO I’ll never understand. Don’t trust them any longer and will not be using them anymore—terrible service and absolutely no help in protecting our vacation. They don’t stand behind what they sell, just rake in the dollars and when things go bad you’re on your own. Buyer beware! Total DISASTER

The house is outdated, dirty and not taken care of. The bathrooms were dirty, carpets stained, dirty walls, windows and glass doors were super dirty. Not enough seating in living room and kitchen for the amount of people it can sleep. Don’t recommend

Our family gathers in the Pocono's each year for the past 10 years, renting a VRBO home. I have never left a bad review, and I find no pleasure in writing this, but do it to warn future renters. The house was cozy, the lakefront and kayaks were nice and the additional separate apartment was good with the 3 different families. This house has so much possibility but the level of disrepair and dirt made it so unenjoyable that we left without the homeowner giving us a consideration of a refund. Some highlights are that they allow dogs and there was dog hair everywhere, bedding smelled like a dog, our socks turned black after walking on the floors for 15 minutes from the dirt, cobwebs in all the corners of rooms inside the house. there were multiple safety concerns, including burners on the gas stove that hit the wooden backsplash, creating a fire hazard, exposed electrical wires, exposed nails from the wall, slats on the deck loose where a child could easily fall through (we were traveling with a 2 & 6 year old), the gate on the deck had no latch and there was metal flashing exposed where a child could cut themselves. I could go on, but I won't. Given all these factors, we wanted to leave right away, but the homeowner would not agree to a refund and so we stayed and tried to clean the place to make it useable for us but left early. Needless to say, I would not recommend staying here and I am surprised this place is rentable, giving the unsafe conditions.

What an amazing property. The whole family says this was the best vacation we ever had. Can't wait to book again next year.

The communication process was awesome by the owners. The property was great being on the water. House was clean. It was nice to use the beach area. The property itself was a bit unkept. Weeds were overgrown and we had to cut them down to enter into the guest house by the sliding glass door. The living room space does not offer enough seating for the amount of people the house can hold. I would recommend adding another couch. Front porch had cigarette butts in a can. The guest house basement rooms had an odor to them. Has so much potential to be a beautiful property, but we did enjoy all the kayaking and row boats. Fun long weekend. A property manager would be a plus.

Good rating upgraded to VERYgood based on owner fast, impressive response to any issue we raised. There are/were minor maintenance items which were or are being addressed. I would not hesitate to return.

Beautiful view of the lake. Private dock made it fun for fishing. Fishing on the pond that had a large variety of all kinds of fish. Even caught a turtle.The host were right on top of any questions or concerns that I had about the house and responded quickly. Would highly recommend

The house location is great and the amenities were great. The dock, fire pit and hot tub were great. The seating in the living areas and dining room were not enough compared to how many people the house could sleep.

The property itself is amazing but they need to take care of it. It looks forgotten, neglected. Spiderwebs everywhere, Hot tub didn’t work and it was dirty with mold. Host said they put chemicals on it and that it was cleaned the day before we arrived, even though it was well water it was obviously not cleaned at all. He said cleaning clerk would go to check the next day but they never showed up so we couldn’t use it. Overall, lake was amazing, kayak experience is wonderful. House is big and cozy but it needs more attention and maintenance

We stayed 3 nights, with 6 adults and 2 dogs. The property could house a small army. The place was definitely well-loved, with signs the owner had been making renovations. The dock was newly rebuilt, and the guest house was newly renovated. Guest house 1st floor game room and bedroom smelled strongly of paint/new carpet/building materials, and it was too cold to leave doors/windows open to ventilate so we did not use them. Guest houe had a big eastern-facing window with no curtain - good for early birds but not night owls. The large kitchen in the main house was adequate and pretty well equipped. Pans were pretty scraped up, but we still managed to cook up a storm. The shower curtain in the small bath of the main house was too short and water went all over the floor, so we stopped using that shower. Outside: 2 river kayaks, 1 ocean kayak, paddleboat, and life jackets were provided. There was a fire pit, hot tub, hammock, and charcoal grill. It was cold and wet during our stay, but we took a pleasant paddle around the lake during a spot of sun. Outdoors could use a litter pickup. We were there for daffodil season, and there were signs of other flowering plants coming up for following months. Rental description said 99 pet fee and up to 3 dogs allowed, but after booking we were informed it was 99 for first dog and 50 per extra dog. Still a reasonable dog fee, but not exactly as advertised.

Location is great right on the lake, plenty of activities and lots of room! Weather could have been better but we made the most of the days that were good!

We were a group of friends that had a great time at this house. The lake is a huge hit, especially with the dock and canoes. We enjoyed the ping pong and foosball additions, and lots of fun attractions in the nearby area. Check in/out was super easy. Most importantly, Michael and Ashleigh were always quick to respond and made sure we were well taken care of in their lovely home!

Very spacious, great location to enjoy nature. Hosts provided us with all essentials and then some, like kayaks and an outdoor hot tub and game room. Great for families, would definitely stay again. Hosts were quick to respond to all questions and very polite and friendly.

This was a greatly located house right next to the lake which was a nice view. They had a hot tub, fire pit, kayaks and a hammock. The biggest issue with this place was it wasn’t the cleanest place when we arrived. In the guest bedroom there were a pack of eaten gummy worms under the bed that lead to ants in our room. The hot tub had a horrible smell and said the cleaning time was overdue by 150 days. We tried to clean these the best we could and still had a fun time. I would also just ask to make sure everything is available because when we got there the game room was under construction and we weren’t happy about that.

Great trip- lake house was as described and we enjoyed our stay. Weather was so-so, but still nice for some late season skiing, relaxing in the hot tub by the lake, and hiking around the perimeter of the lake. We plan to stay again in the summer.

Upon pulling up to the house it had recently snowed and it was a bit icy but we were greeted by a warm hearth with fire already ablaze. Our 6 teenagers scrambled to pick their bedrooms while we stocked the fridge and began to heat up food in the oven. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dinnerware and pots/pans but we brought paper and plastic. Could have used some more trash bags (good thing I brought a few) There was enough room at the table in the dining area for the 6 kids, and we happily ate separately at the bistro set in the kitchen. My husband and I stayed in the guest house, and were previously warned that a pipe had frozen and broke so there would be no water in that building. We were offered a refund by the hosts but our plans were already set so we just dealt with the minor inconvenience. The guest loft is above the garage and upstairs is very well heated, but downstairs, where the game room is was freezing (the game room is actually the garage area) They were busy enough though, as we went snow tubing on Saturday and they were in and out of the hot tub and went sliding around on the iced over lake. The hot tub definitely needs a water change though. Or a lot of chemicals bc the water was quite smelly. (I made them shower right away after) We also shoveled the snow out of the fire pit, built a fire and roasted marshmallows.The path from the main house to the guest house was very icy, but we made due. Great time overall and we would go back in summertime.

Upon Arrival; no water in the guest house, heater hanging off the wall and no power.  The back deck buckled under our feet and the exterior doors would not open without fidgeting the handle and pulling up or down on it.  We opened the hot tub lid, and it was barely full and smelled like it hadn't been cleaned.  I contacted the homeowner, and he offered a 100 refund. There was nothing available in the area and we drove 3.5 hours.  We called back, he offered 200 refund and a 5 star review, I agreed at first and was concerned with his comment - were all reviews because a refund was given? Then it seemingly got worse.  Broken shelves in the refrigerator, filthy bathrooms that had hair & dirt in the bottom, makeshift couch that looked like 2 corners to a sectional couch pushed together, wires hanging from the fireplace, dirty pots and pans, mold bread in the cabinet. Smoke detectors with no batteries and hanging off the wall, broken fire pit chairs, cobwebs everywhere, random holes in the halls and stains on the wall in the bathrooms and bedrooms.  The best part of the house was the deck to the frozen lake and the location to town.   I was shocked over the 5-star comment that came with my refund of only 200. He assured me that his cleaners always went in depth - that is not the case.  Renters, beware of the condition of the home - never had an issue with VRBO before now.  

The property guest house was flooded and the house was dirty, like they just made the beds and threw dried towels on the bed to look clean. The cleaner was supposed to clean the ice up in the guest house and she threw towls on the floor and left.

Great location and layout for our family. We went snowtubing at Camelback and it was a short 20 minute drive. Parents and kids had a fun time!

The house is exactly as pictured, and is nearby to many attractions. We most loved the hot tub, which was the perfect way to end a long day. We were not able to get the fireplace to work, but the hosts were responsive when we inquired about it. Would stay again.

Me & my family stayed here Christmas weekend dc 20-23 , let me just say , we had lots of fun , it was nice . The host were very responsive , and helpful , I will say there were minor issues that as soon as I told the host they were there with remedies & answers , even let me check out a hour later

A great time was had by all. Very nice house and equally nice guest house with game room. Our 1 daughter and son in law stayed in the guest house and loved it. My wife and I along with our oldest daughter stayed in the main house and loved it as well. It was so nice to sit by the fire and just enjoy the time together. The view of the lake which was just steps away would make a great Christmas card. In warmer times there are kayaks to paddle around the lake, great location , stores , restaurants, a very nice waterfall ( Marshall's Falls ) just a short trip about 30 min. and an added bonus we woke up to snow on Thanksgiving morning. A special thank you to the owners for the help in correcting a problem quickly. Other reviews that say they respond quickly are spot on, thanks again.

This was a great stay! First, the hosts are very responsive--super quick to reply and helpful, which is probably the most important thing to look for in a stay! There were only 2 of us and dogs but there is so much room for more guests with 3 bedrooms and an additional guest house, so it was very affordable. Plenty of comfy places to sit and enjoy in the house. Really loved how well-stocked the kitchen was, even with sugar, spices and other random things you wouldn't think of until you need. Absolutely loved the fireplace, hot tub, water view and dock. The yard landscaping was very nice to walk around on and had nice privacy from the neighbors. The driveway is a loop so that was super convenient. The neighborhood has wonderful trees and lake/pond views as you walk or drive through and feels super safe and quiet. The location is very easy to get to from the interstate, and that also made it easy to travel in the area and check out hiking spots. I would recommend this rental! =)

This lake house was the perfect escape! The peaceful surroundings and gorgeous lake views made for a truly relaxing experience. The house was comfortable, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. Whether we were lounging by the water or enjoying the cozy interior, it was a fantastic stay. And the kids loved getting out on the lake with the kayaks - there were like 4 or 5 at the house - it was basically a small fleet!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat!

A Five Star Rating is too Low for this Place. The Houses were Immaculately Clean and the Kitchen had everything you need to cook a Family meal. The Game room was Fantastic. But the Absolute Best Feature is out back. Fire Pit , an Old fashion Hammock, which My Family were always fighting over, and your own private dock right on the water. Michael, the Owner, is Great to deal with. This is My 4th year renting in the Poconos and this is by far the Best Property I've had. We plan on making this our go to Vacation Destination from now on.

Kids loved game room and kayaks. Grounds were great lived the view and location.
