Stayed Apr 17, 2026We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was very cute and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We were really happy they had a flat top grill, since my mom has an allergy to charcoal, so it was great that we had another option for grilling. I highly recommend staying here. The hosts respond in a timely manner, we were worried due to recent flooding around the state, and they looked into for us to make sure we could get to and from the cabin without any issues.

Stayed Feb 15, 2026We had an amazing stay at Shanty Creek Resort! The home was perfect for my family of 10 there was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable, and the location was ideal with the slopes just a few minutes’ drive away. The host was fantastic and very responsive to any questions we had, which made the whole experience even better. This place was a 10 out of 10, and we would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed Feb 12, 2026Shanty Creek Escape was a great place to stay for our families while skiing the long Presidents’ Day weekend. Our hosts, Danielle and Craig made the experience absolutely seamless. The house is located very close to the ski lifts, tubing, Mancelona and Bellaire. The sleeping arrangements are some of the best we’ve experienced. We comfortably slept 12 with room to spare. Stayed Nov 25, 2025This place was perfect for our big group! Had everything we needed to host Thanksgiving together. The kids loved the bunk bed room and the downstairs living room for playing, and the pool was so nice as well and great activity for the kids. Everything was clean and very nice, couldn’t recommend it more! And definitely go to Short’s if you stay here, the beer is great!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a spotless home that exceeded our expectations. The spacious layout provided plenty of room for our family, and the decor was both stylish and comfortable. We particularly loved the fully equipped kitchen, which made meal preparation a breeze, and the outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying morning coffee with a view.
