Detached chalet Vallandry 10 p

Chalet even better than on the photos. Ideal for our family of 7, very well equipped and a short walk from the lifts. Thanks for a great holiday!

We stayed here with 8 people for a week of skiing and equipped with all you need. Chalet is situated perfectly inbetween both ski areas Les Arcs and La Plagne. You do not need a car once you have arrived at the chalet. Contact with owners was always quick, professionell and easy. We will recommend this location to all skiers!

We had a fabulous week staying at Chalet Gentiane. We found it easily in Vallandry, thanks to the information pack which was sent before departure. We picked up the keys with no problems. The chalet was very well provided with everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and utensils and it felt like a home from home. We were a little concerned when reading previous reviews that the beds may not be comfortable, but we needn't have worried. The beds were very comfortable and the mattresses seemed new. The boot room in the basement opened out onto the path and meant that we could all put on our boots and coats easily each morning. Our ski equipment could be stored easily and tidily in this room overnight. We had quite a lot of snowfall during our week, and the path down to the chalet was looked after each day - snow cleared and grit put down. This meant that we were always able to climb up and down the path to the road without mishap! We always allowed too much time to get to ski school each morning (to allow for younger children in the party to have their meltdowns and then be persuaded to carry on). It took about 10 minutes at a brisk pace and 20 minutes at child's pace. I can't speak highly enough about the chalet and all my dealings with the owner. As a first time renter from owners direct I was a little worried about the whole process, but I needn't have been. It all went very smoothly. The resort of Vallandry was fabulous too. It was our second holiday here and we absolutely love it. It is small and family friendly, but at the same time has access to an amazing array of pistes (we made it over to La Plagne this year too). The small supermarket has a great range of products - we would definitely think about bringing less food ourselves and buying on site. It is more expensive but not excessively so.

We had a very pleasant stay with the family (6 adults 30-81). Close to the lifts and town centre. Chalet was nicely decorated and clean. Big terrace with beautiful view on the mountains. We had a wonderful week, with perfect snow. Some tips for improvement: - thin walls, so better not make noise in upper rooms - no wifi - living room could use some good chairs, like a fauteuil. It has now 2 couches, which is not more than a made bed with some pillows, or wooden table chairs. - Bed Matrasses are really thin, back ache! Non of us have slept well for a week.

We were a group of 10 people and we had a wonderful stay in Vallandry. The chalet is very comfortable, spacious and cosy. It is situated just a few meters from the skiing lift and from stores. We are definitely coming back! Kerstin from Germany

The wooden Chalet is located smth arround 250 meters from the towncenter and the mainlift in Vallandry. With a group of 10 friends we found everything we needed and in the well equipped kitchen even some things more. We liked the fact that you can control the heating in every room, regarding the point hot/cold it is not adviceable to take a bath in one of the two tubs as (depending on the size of your group) some may end up with a cold shower :-). The Chalet is perfect for 2-3 familys or for friends who want to enjoy a skiingholliday without heavy partying as Vallandry is not a place for this!
