What a lovely, charming, and affordable chalet. In an era of overindulgence and excessive use of resources, this chalet appropriately rustic and quaint.

Property manager insisted on texting door code at last minute though there is no cell coverage near the property. So I had to drive 10 miles one way to get a signal only to find that he tried to send code to a landline. Big hassle. Also, getting to bedroom loft involved climbing a ladder. Otherwise fine.

Staying here is exactly what the doctor ordered for wanting to just disconnect and enjoy the forest. The hosts are amazingly responsive and kind, the house is everything as listed and honestly extremely comfortable for the size it is. The hot tub is amazing on the back porch and very relaxing. The house is located right accross from chair 9 incase youare peckish in the night and only about 30 minutes from skiing or snowboarding! Will be booking again for sure!!

We had a great time! We lost power due to heavy rain for about 5 hours, but we were able to make dinner on the wood stove with a cast iron pan and had plenty of light from all the provided lanterns. The stay was super peaceful and very comfortable. Also the hot tub smells amazing, best one I’ve ever been in! Thank you so much!

This place is very small. It's a bit older and dated and has a very musty smell. The location was convenient for hiking in the local park. The ladder to the beds in the loft is challenging if you need the bathroom at night. The hot tub was recently updated and looked great, although we didn't use it. The gated community looks very cute and family oriented. Cell signal for phones is very limited.

Our family of 4 loved the quiet & serene setting of the Cedar Chalet. Pete made it very easy to get in. The kids loved the lava lamp! We found a trail to the river & ended soaking in the hot tub. We are outside on the patio, which was perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The bed with the Cuddl Dud blanket hit the spot after a day of hiking! Thank you Pete!

This A-frame cabin is absolutely adorable and straight out of a time gone by. Super comfy beds, multiple heat sources (not important for our springtime stay, but great for the winter), and a fabulous, new cedar hot tub! Communicating with Peter and Kathleen was great – they were super helpful every step of the way. And, of course, the Snowline community is awesome, and its proximity to Mount Baker is unmatched. We enjoyed the chalet, it’s very cute and well supplied. Pete gave great directions. Two things to note - The Soaking Tub really is a that, not a hot tub. It was very cold outside and so not warm enough to stay in for long. Also, the stairs up to the bedrooms is really a steep ladder.

This is a cute tiny cabin set in a gorgeous natural forested neighborhood. The two queen bed are in the upper floor accessed thru a steep ladder like stair. The mattress and sheets have seen better days however. This cabin could really use a kitchen replacement but we didn’t do any cooking at all in our two days there..

Only one photo of the cabin's interior shows a little bit of the ladder that goes upstairs. If you have problems climbing a ladder without handrails think twice about renting this cabin. No handrails, and no safety gate/barricade at the top of the ladder. I used battery powered lantern-style lights to light up the ladder at night. It would have been easy to step from the upstairs floor to the first ladder rung at night. If you cannot hold your bladder at night, think twice about renting this cabin. There is no bathroom upstairs. There is no sofa-bed downstairs to make bathroom trips more convenient at night. The shower nozzle pressure was too strong. It blasted water under the shower door, that did not seal at the bottom, onto the bathroom floor. The door from the living room to the outside deck would not open. So just think about your physical capabilities prior to renting this unit. It is located in a beautiful forested area.

We came up to the Mt. Baker area to scout out some day-hike trails so that in late Sept the five of us seniors will know if we've selected appropriate trails. We think we found two good ones today. I fear you may need a more complete description of the stairway or ladderway: a handicapped or elderly or awkward person may get hurt on that ladder (I wouldn't call it stairs. Also, kitchen lights: I needed the flashlight on my phone to work the microwave and the electric oven. I applaud the plentiful ice supply, though we didn't use it. I saw the coffee beans (nice!) but was there a grinder? We brought our own coffee, so no big deal for us. The comforter and sheets were too warm. Electrical outlets in the bedrooms were inaccessible. Very generous firewood supply which we didn't use. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Plenty of hot water for two. Didn't use the hot (warm) tub. Pete asked us to call him one hour away from Bellingham. But we lost his number. But Pete CALLED US(!) in plenty of time to make the key exchange and his face to face instructions were clear, concise, accurate and didn't overfill my brain. And very friendly. For two people or two couples, I'd stay there again until I'm too old and infirm to handle the ladder. Howie

Clean and comfortable in a gated forest community of beautiful cabins. Short drive to Mt. Baker and all the hiking trails/ski trails depending on your desired season. Excellent communication from owners. Cedar hot tub with a gazebo is an excellent place to soak and enjoy the weather - rain, snow, or shine. It feels remote, but there are three restaurants and a small general store within a couple miles. We enjoyed our time.

Charming Cedar Chalet with Amazing Cedar Soaking Tub is clean, cozy, comfy, cute, and a great location for our planned activities of hiking Heliotrope Ridge Trail and exploring family history in Welcome Valley (Deming). The cabin had everything we needed for our two-night stay. The soaking tub was the perfect temperature and so relaxing! Host communication was excellent. My husband brought his laptop and hooked up to the Wi-Fi in the cabin with no issues. Some things to be aware of, there was minimal (none for us) cell phone reception in Glacier. Might want to check with your carrier before you go to ask about data roaming options. If you want to watch TV, you’ll need to use your account (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) so bring your login/password info. If you are going to hike, check WTA or similar apps for information. The road off Mt. Baker Highway to Heliotrope Ridge is super close to the Snowline entrance, but it’s another 8 miles to the parking lot/trailhead, on a one-way road riddled with potholes. It took us about half an hour in our car. The views of Mt. Baker and glaciers was worth it, but my leg muscles might beg to differ for a few more days … I recommend this rental and would stay again if in the area.
