Check in was great! The cabin is super cute and cozy. Location is great. Not a view of the lake but you can walk to it. The main bedroom is big and spacious with a trundle bed in it. The second bedroom is extremely small but the bed is firm and comfortable. However, the bedroom is super dark. Not enough light and the fan light was not working. There was also not easy access to charge your devices. It is a cabin, so everything is pretty much on the dark side. We would stay there again, but here are our recommendations: change the bath towels to large size towels. They were very small towels. Luckily, we found a couple of lake towels and used those instead. The shower itself is not even 3 feet by 3 feet. So you go in and almost have to back out to come out. No space for turning. Also, if you are over 6.5 you will hit your head on the shower head and not be able to get a shower at all. I’d replace the fancy shower head that would only work on a child with a simple long neck small shower head. It is impossible to get a good shower in that shower as it is. Good hot water though. Kitchen- there was only one wine glass and it was a chipped so we threw it away. A few wine glasses would be good. There is no dishwasher so be prepared and bring paper plates. Oh, forgot to mention, I know it’s a cabin but there was a huge amount of spider webs. Maybe it had been a while since people were there. All in all, it’s cabin. It is comfortable and cozy. We would go back again to enjoy a relaxing weekend in Big Bear.
