The Space:
Our family-friendly cabin is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families or small groups of friends.
The cabin includes:
- Queen bed in the downstairs bedroom, and a sleeping area in the loft with a queen/twin bunk bed and another twin bed (there’s also a pull-out sofa in the living room, and it’s quite comfortable!)
- Fully-stocked kitchen with stove/oven and microwave
- Smart TV where you can quickly sign-in to your favorite streaming service
- WiFi that's fast enough to stream movies and hold video calls
- AC and electric heat to keep you perfectly comfortable, no matter the weather
- Washer & dryer
Outside the cabin, there’s even more to enjoy:
- Hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a long day!
- Deck and propane grill
- Outside fire pit with Adirondack chairs for the whole gang
- An outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: corn hole, volleyball, soccer and kick balls, horseshoes, and many more!
Our cabin also has private access to Sleepy Creek, just a quick 10 min walk from the cabin. It's a shallow creek most of the year, but great for cooling off in the summer and for the kids to hunt frogs and crawfish. :)
(A Few Things of Note: On occasion, our well water can produce a sulfur smell. Don't worry, this is normal and common with wells in rural areas and perfectly safe. )
We often take our two little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly.
Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close to everything we are -- particularly Great Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs. The park is free to enter and has miles of hiking trails, a beach and small lake, golf course, horse stables, and a clay shooting range. And the town of Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US; the shopping, spa, and restaurant scene does not disappoint!
Mostly satisfying stay. Cabin was a little dirty and older than in pictures. Made sure day before hot tub was in working order but at arrival was not working. The hot tub was finally fixed and hot at midnight on our last night. Was able to use it for an hour. The owner apologised but offered no compensation. Plus the front door knob fell off when we arrived. Had to fix myself. Other than that was a very private property and very nice fire pit. Wood not included.
We were very excited to stay at this property. The property is not as pictured on VRBO, and this is my first time leaving a negative review for any property. I respect people’s investments, but I feel compelled to share our experience for others who may be planning a special trip and would be similarly disappointed. There were stains on the couches, burns in the rug, blinds were broken so you couldn’t see out of one half of the great view pictures. Other negatives were not really a big deal (dated tile, obvious quick fixes to make the cabin look better, etc). When I asked about the stains (I was uncomfortable sitting on the couches) or a blanket to cover them, I was told there were plenty of towels in the closet. I also ended up cleaning the windows myself so we could at least enjoy the view.
The house itself was very clean and comfortable. The yard was good, though surrounded by a lot of fallen wood, we assume from storm damage. The location was a little more remote than we would have liked, the surrounding houses were not always the best and look unoccupied.
Clean property easy communication
My wife and I had a fantastic time. Owner was very communicative. Property was very clean.
Our family wanted to go somewhere for a few days during Christmas week. We found this gem that was cozy and perfect for our family and dog friendly. Beautiful chalet, fully equipped with everything you need for the stay, everything in the kitchen looks new and it was very clean. Great outdoor space, the snow on the ground was a bonus. We used the fire pit which was nice. Our host Tony was nice and checked on us frequently and was very responsive. Thanks for the sweet memories!
booked this cabin for a couples getaway with some friends. We had a good time. The cabin was a clean and comfortable, the hot tub was clean as well. We grilled and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Remember to bring groceries, consider stopping on the way.
we had a good time at Tony's cabin. Checkin was easy and the cabin is newly updated. The hot tub was a nice touch. Would recommend staying at this cabin, I'd come back.
