Palmer, Alaska
The Chalet at Wolverine Lake is located just 59 miles north of Anchorage International Airport on a beautiful lake with no public access and surrounded by the Chugach mountain range. It is a rare occasion to see anyone on the lake that is not connected to the lodge.
There are 4 main reasons why I believe Wolverine Lake is the best place in Alaska for your next vacation.
You get to feel the real Alaska wilderness and have amazing views without having to take a bush plane into a remote location and be hours from civilization.
We will gladly help you book excursions and give you a locals insight into our area.
Our Native Wild Rainbow Trout fishing is fantastic and we include kayaks. Please note*** April 15 till June 15th fishing is not allowed because of spawning season.
You are centrally located between Denali National Park, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and the Kenai River and all that area has to offer.
*** Currently a washing machine is not available on-site. Our guests usually go to Idita-Wash in Palmer. A discount is available for our guests.
*** Across the boardwalk and on the other side of the game room and hot tub, is our two story three bedroom / two bath rental cabin.
Beautiful property on big lake with stunning Mt views. Swans with 7 cygnets and loons calling on the tranquil lake this morning. Also lots of fish jumping in evening and morning. Would have loved to kayak but ran out of time. New owner Greg gives great customer service and communication. The VRBO website was messed up tho and did not get good customer service from their phone staff in Africa.
Beautiful location right on a quiet lake. We enjoyed hiking hatcher pass and kayaking on the lake. A perfect place for our family.
This cabin was a favorite for our trip! It is clean and beautiful and the views are stunning! The game room is great and the kids spent most of the time on the lake. It was so peaceful and beautiful here. We will definitely be back soon!
Not far from Palmer. Access to many attractions.
We had the best time!!! Looking forward to coming back!!
Needs some more amenities like pots and pans that aren't scraped and burnt. Laundry facilities. Better water pressure. View and location spectacular.Kayaks great
Our family wish we were at Lazy Mountain more than one night. It is BEAUTIFUL! everything you would ever want. The Lake is amazing, bean bags, hot tub. Saw a moose from the deck and swabs. Lauren the house manager was so sweet and helpful. If ever in Alaska again will for sure stay here again. Thank you
Wonderful. I like how Kierra is onsite to ask questions and help when needed. Great hosts, view and things to do cornhole, hot tub, kayak, small boat, ping pong, darts, internet. A lot of adventures in the area. Some mosquito's but not bad bring spray or lotion.
We had the most amazing time at the lodge! The kids loved sledding and the adults couldn’t get enough of the hot tub while taking in the snowy white gorgeous views! The running joke was “what has Bob Ross painted for us today?” The views were breathtaking and Johnathan couldn’t have been more accommodating!
We had a wonderful stay here! The chalet is very beautiful and very cozy. Johnathan was super responsive and extremely kind to help us with some of our requests. We came during march and Johnathan was so generous to plough the driveway multiple times so that its safe for us to drive. He provided us with wonderful recommendations for places to visit. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place.
