Beautiful Ski-in/Ski-out Chalet on Grandfathers Trail with Sweeping View

This was our second year staying at this chalet and it will remain our top choice next time we visit Apex. It’s a beautiful place with absolutely everything you need. Gregg and Lisa are wonderful hosts and provide for a relaxed stay. 5 stars!

Gregg and Lisa’s place at Apex was beyond perfect. We stayed there with our kids and grandparents and had an amazing Christmas experience in December 2025. The views were spectacular, and the ski in and ski out was perfection. There is nothing like skiing in and out for a warm lunch at the most amazing hill around. Gregg and Lisa are the most welcoming and gracious hosts, who have literally gone above and beyond to make this the perfect vacation spot. There is an exquisite dining area and kitchen and very roomy living room with sweeping views of the trees and mountains. The beds are so comfortable and there is even two full bathrooms. Our boys absolutely loved the bunk room and made the cutest little hideouts to warm up and hang out in together after a ski day. The place had everything we needed and we enjoyed the giant dining table, games, easy laundry and of course the hot tub! Honestly, this place exceeded our expectations and we really hope we can return!

Had a great stay at this location. Hosts were amazing, answered quickly to all questions and place was very clean. Listing is accurate to what you get, bunk beds don’t have a door but the other two rooms are great.Ski in and out was a little challenging with young kids but overall for intermediate skiers it’s and easy ride in and out.

We loved everything about our stay here! Perfect spot for our 3 generations to enjoy easy access to skiing, hot tub, and incredible scenery. The space has everything you need with cozy extra touches. Our hosts were gracious and so welcoming. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect how it was advertised

We have been coming to Apex for many years, for an annual ski trip with siblings (adults). Apex is a total gem in the interior, with great terrain and a small mountain village feel. This chalet is the best place we have stayed. Beautiful views, nicely furnished and has everything you could need. Ski in and out with ease and a short trek to the village centre. We had four adults, but this would be equally great for a couple of families as it is kid friendly. Hosts are friendly and super accommodating. Easy five star rating and easy to recommend.

Beautiful spot with incredible views. Amazing hosts and great ski in/ ski out convenience. Worked so well with our teenagers coming and going for lunch and breaks. Would highly recommend to any family. Thanks Gregg and Lisa for your hospitality and for lending us skates and sticks!

Stayed here last year and liked it so much we stayed again. Perfect ski in/out location. Great set up with everything you could need in a well equipped kitchen. Loved the hot tub with a spectacular view. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Gregg and Lisa are fantastic host, very helpful and they leave you delicious short bread. The condo is very clean and well stocked. Would book with them again. Thank you for making are ski weekend even better.

Gregg and Lisa are extremely kind and helpful. Very responsive to my questions. The chalet is spacious and cozy with a fantastic view. We could observe a sunrise if the weather allowed. The big kitchen easily accommodates our 2 families - 4 adults and 3 teens. As our kids are beginners (one never skied before), we didn't let them ski in ski out. Even so, driving them to and from the lesson meeting place was within 2-3 minutes. Very convenient. We will definitely come back when we visit Apex again.
