Kalispell, Montana
This cozy and serene chalet is nestled at the base of the Swan Mountains in a beautiful, wooded area with breathtaking lake and mountain views … feels like you are “a thousand miles from nowhere” yet only 2 minutes on a paved road to major highway. 10 minutes to Bigfork and Flathead Lake, 25 minutes to Kalispell Airport and Swan Lake, 30-40 minutes to Glacier Park and Whitefish.
This 3 bedroom, 3 bath chalet offers an exceptionally comfortable retreat from the busyness of traveling, sightseeing and vacationing. Year-round comfort is provided by radiant floor heat and gas fireplace in the winter and ductless air-conditioning in the upper level during the summer. It is fully stocked throughout with everything you will need to feel at home. Each bedroom has a queen bed with four pillows, plenty of dresser space and full-length mirrors. An extra bonus is a USB port/charging station at each bedside. Patio has ample seating with a smokeless firepit to gather around in the evenings (unless local fire restrictions are in effect due to dry conditions). Take the staircase and path down to the lake to enjoy a paddle in the canoe or just sit in the Adirondack chairs, take in the scenery and watch for wildlife. For the more adventurous, you can walk along the edge of the lake to the sand/gravel shore where you can take a refreshing swim. A short walk down the paved road takes you to Tamarack Lake, which is more preferrable for swimming. Throughout the day, it’s not uncommon to see deer, wild turkeys, ducks and geese. Those who rise earlier in the morning, may catch a glimpse of a bear, moose, elk or mountain lion.
The “Many Lakes” community is a neighborhood in the Creston area southeast of Kalispell and north of Bigfork. There are over 20 lakes and ponds within the area. These lakes were formed by retreating glaciers and water levels depend on snowfall. In years of high snowpack, these lakes can fill to capacity. Whereas during a drought, they may become more like a wetland meadow or reduce in size.
** IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE REQUESTING TO BOOK **
* Due to the unique setting of this property, it has an alternative/complex septic system with multiple moving parts and electrical components (pumps, monitors and alarms). For this reason, we absolutely MUST hold to our 6-person limit. Further, there are some basic requests we ask of our guests to reduce overload and help keep this system running smoothly (spacing showers, laundry use, etc.). Despite these minor considerations, the water/septic functions operate just like any other home and should not cause any inconvenience.
* We absolutely welcome children; however, they must be supervised at all times when outdoors as there are many intriguing yet potentially dangerous areas surrounding the property.
* During autumn and winter months, snowfall can happen at any time, often fast and heavy. We do have someone plow the main driveway as soon as possible, however, guests are responsible for the snow removal of the asphalt directly in front of the garage as well as the patio during their stay. Snow shovels, a battery-operated snow blower and ice melt pellets are provided. An all-wheel drive is typically necessary to access the lower driveway when snow-covered. In extreme weather conditions, if the sloped driveway is mostly ice or slick snow-pack, guests MUST park in the upper driveway adjacent to the county road and walk to the lower level and chalet (takes 30-45 seconds). If you are not comfortable dealing with snow removal and/or walking on unlevel, patchy snow and ice, we do not recommend staying at this property between mid-October and mid-April.
* The property has 4 outdoor security cameras which will be disarmed the entire duration of our guests' stay and will resume after 11am the day of checkout.

Our stay at the Chalet was the most wonderful experience I have ever had at a VRBO! The chalet was just perfect and the home owners were so prepared and accommodating!!! I will be going back!!!
This property was one of our favorite places! Milinda was a great host, although i didn’t really need to contact her because everything was so nicely labeled and they had a house book which was super helpful! This place has a great location, we got to check out new spots everyday. The views were amazing! We saw lots of wildlife and walked down to the lake and my toddler got to see the ducks. The beds were also really comfortable. The fire pit outside was so much fun every night. This house is very cozy and very relaxing and had all the amenities we needed. I have nothing but great things to say about this place! I would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful home and amazing views! Host was super duper helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this Beautiful home, well taken care of and everything you can think of is already there for you. Bigfork is a cute little lake town too.Everything was perfect! Best rental home we've stayed in Montana! It was extremely hard to leave this home!
This property is absolutely gorgeous! View from the house is so relaxing. Milinda has thought of every detail and there is nothing that you need and that is not there. She is very easy to communicate with and very helpful with any questions you may have. Very easy to get to all the places we came to see. Can't wait to go back again!
The house and surrounding area is amazing. Wonderful views, and close to Glacier NP, Kalispell, Whitefish, and Flathead Lake. We enjoyed the outside amenities of the house and the ones inside as well. We even drove into Canada for a day trip. Overall, the house is amazing and very clean. Pretty much has everything you would want or need.
This property is beautiful, with a very nice view from the patio for morning coffee and stargazing at night. Easy drive from the airport and to West Glacier entrance. The owner has put a great deal of thought into everything and our stay was fantastic. Thank you!
What a beautiful, comfortable home located just 30 minutes from the entrance of Glacier National Park. The home is newly constructed and beautifully decorated….and the view of their lake (and mountains) was amazing with all kinds of wildlife hanging out around it. The owners have this place so organized and they thought of everything you could need. We were a bit hesitant to pick with home with no reviews at the time, but we are soooooo glad we did!
Beautiful house, well-stocked with all essentials. Convenient location. Quiet neighborhood. Scenic views. No negative. Exceeded our expectations.
The chalet and the property around it are absolutely gorgeous! The chalet was extremely clean and well stocked. One of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had. Milinda is a wonderful and gracious host. Would most definitely stay there again!
This property exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s even better than the photos! Stunning views from the beautiful patio, quiet, immaculately clean, organized, and stocked with everything you could need or want. I only wish we had more time to relax here but we were on the go - hiking and taking in the scenery at nearby Glacier National Park (about a 20-30 minute drive.) The owner was easy to communicate with and she had the home ready for us as promised. ❤️ this property!!
This home is stocked with everything you would ever need. The space is decorated perfectly and beds are very comfortable. We took out the canoe and caught the most amazing fish we ate for dinner. We will definitely be booking this home again next year.
This is hands down the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed at! Milinda thought of everything & everything was top notch! The chalet was beautiful! Kitchen with island & everything you need to cook or grill. Even ziplock bags & storage containers & wonderful dishes & cookware! Pantry was stocked with spices & bounty napkins and paper players & plastic ware if you needed to take for a picnic which we did on our day trip to GNP. Even had bag clips! Which I accidentally took one home! Beds & pillows comfortable! Reclining chairs in movie room in loft & downstairs. Patio deck with amazing view of the lake which you could canoe in. Lake was not huge but very nice! We walked to a swimming lake nearby which was awesome! 3 bathrooms well stocked & wonderful master bedroom bath & shower. Great water pressure too! Laundry room with everything you needed to do laundry. Garage was so clean! She even had anti itch stuff in a closet to use! No mosquitoes there though! Had a grill too! I will definitely stay here again!! As would my family! Milinda thought of everything & was an excellent communicator! If you’re looking for a place to stay in the glacier area stay here!!!
