Klamath Falls, Oregon
Alice's Cottage rests in the hidden trees of Rocky Point. If you are looking for a serene, undisturbed getaway you are right at home here. A Bird-Watcher's paradise, but also great for canoeing, kayaking, and hiking. The Cottage is also just one mile from the Crater Lake Zipline.
Disclosure: There is a single security camera installed on one of the trees in front of Alice's Cottage, with the camera facing the front door and entrance to the property. There are no cameras inside the home, nor elsewhere on the property.
The cabin was immaculately clean even up to the outdoor chairs and table!
We basically needed a place to sleep and this cute vintage cottage met our needs nicely. It is very well supplied for meal prep and cooking as well. The neighborhood is on a gravel lane in a mixed use area and is very rural. Had a nice meal, and great waterfront view, at the Rocky Point Resort, the one nearby restaurant. Mary Ann is a great host, very accessible and quick to respond.
Alice’s cottage was great. A lovely little adorable A frame with great hot water and plentiful filtered water. They are not as isolated as I thought, with a few neighbors visible from every angle, but it’s a fairly low traffic area. Couldn’t ask for a better location if visiting the Crater Lake Zipline, and about an hour from Crater Lake itself.
Sweet and lovely place to stay. Well appointed. Would love to have had a grill but understand the open fire concerns (that’s the Texas in me!). We were excited to see quite the collection of videos and watched a few films we hadn’t seen in quite a while. We look forward to returning when the scenery is wintry! Thanks for a great stay!!
The property is on a very quiet road. My husband and I both loved the rustic charm of this cabin. We will definitely look into this place the next time we are in the area
Had an amazing experience here!!! Property was 1 mile away from the zipline, axe throwing and kayak tours; 15 min away from Lake of the Woods where you can float in the lake and rent paddle boards or boats; 1 hour away from Crater Lake which is beautiful; and many other small lakes near it. Easy communication if you need anything or a simple question. She always messaged me back within like 5 min and is so friendly. If you go the 3rd Saturday of July, they have a really fun festival with flea market, food, parade, drinks, band and auctions with all proceeds that go to their Fire and Rescue. Very clean and homey feeling inside with everything provided for you such as kitchenware, bathroom essentials, games, books, extra blankets or towels; and multiple kayaks to borrow. The only low we had was we believe the water pipes might be a little rusty or need a change in filter because the water was filled with minerals and was a tad yellow coming out. Overall, one of the best places I have rented and would do it again.
Spent Memorial Day weekend visiting Crater Lake National Park. This cabin is about an hour drive and is relatively secluded. This is what we were looking for so the cabin met all of our needs. In the trees, away from town and large highways, we truly were able to leave the city behind. The cabin is clean and comfort, very few insects, no rodents or evidence of (which is kinda a big deal out in the woods). It is week kept. Best to bring your own food , as town is a bit of a drive. TV with a huge VHS library if you want to really escape todays reality for nostalgia of a time that seemed simpler. A decent book library too. A bit of a kinky vibe in the bedroom with mirrored ceilings that help to ignight a getaway spark Cabin warms up well, we weren’t cold. Mattress could be replaced. Water pressure problematic - challenging to clean dishes and shower. Overall, a wonderful escape from town and the world.
Nice, clean and comfortable.
The owner of the home was quick to answer my questions and help with any issues that came up. I would definitely rent a vacation home through Miss MaryAnna again!
This property was perfect as our home base during a Crater Lake trip. The drive to and from the park is a bit lengthy, but the views definitely make up for it. Mary Anna was very responsive to all of our questions and gave clear instructions for our stay. The space heaters were more than enough to keep us warm during the chillier June nights. The bed squeaks a lot at the slightest movement, so keep that in mind if you're a light sleeper.
We did zip line closee by and enjoyed the evenings at the cabin
