This characterful two-storey log cabin, located in the charming village of Little Petherick, just beyond Padstow, is ideal for families or groups of six friends looking for a restful holiday, combining rural tranquillity and coastal allure. For hikers, scenic trails from the lodge lead to Little Petherick Creek, a favoured destination for nature enthusiasts, and onward to Padstow (3 miles), where access to the renowned South West Coast Path awaits.

As you step inside this wonderfullywelcoming and spacious lodge, you will begin to unwind and appreciate the beauty of the logs which have been shipped from Canada for an authentic lodge experience. The open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge is an ideal social hub where you can relax together after a day out exploring the stunning local coastline. The kitchen has all the equipment to whip up some family favourites, and you can linger over dinner and plan the next day of adventure. The dining table doubles as a spot for board games, or you can unwind on the comfortable sofas and watch a family film. Downstairs are two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and a separate shower. With its vaulted roof, a second living room upstairs awaits and includes access to the balcony that looks out over a stream and meadow hillside. You’ll find a king-size bedroom with a handy en-suite shower room upstairs. Outside is a beautiful, enclosed garden and a ground-floor balcony, perfect for little ones. There is also a BBQ to cook up a storm in fine weather.

Just across the water from Padstow lie Rock and Polzeath, both within 12 miles, featuring pristine golden beaches and azure waters for swimming, sandcastles and lazy days. If you prefer walking or cycling, join The Camel Trail at Wadebridge (5.5 miles) and discover the beauty along this former railway route. Within 15 miles, you can enjoy Trenance Garden with its play area and lake and take a trip on the Lappa Valley Railway.
