Beautiful property on stunning grounds. The host was super communicative and helpful in the lead up and during our stay. It was clearly a lived-in property, with lots of personal trinkets and items about the house which did make me a little nervous with small children. It also meant in some rooms there was nowhere to place one’s clothes. The property is old and so I wouldn’t recommend with very young children (our youngest was 3) due to irregular steps and stairs in the property (husband fell in the kitchen due to irregular stairs and fractured wrist). The kitchen is small for the property size and there was nowhere for all of us to sit together (there were 10 of us) but we easily made do and fed the children separately and adults ate later. The grounds are stunning and wonderful to wake up to the cows wandering around. However part of the grounds were warned off as there were bee hives and chickens which again, made it tricky with monitoring the children, however the garden was plenty big enough. There is another small property (gate house) to the front of the property that had guests staying that we were not made aware of until the day we checked in, but they did not cause us any bother at all. Would stay again.

Great property that serves our needs well. The kitchen is a little small for the size of the house but we coped well. There was very little storage space for clothes as the owners property was everywhere. There was no effort to make space for guests items and the house felt very cluttered with the owners stuff.

My family and I had a lovely stay in this place. It is incredibly beautiful and spacious. We were 11 people and fit in more than comfortably. The housekeeper, Madame Philippe, is wonderful. She went far out of her way to help us out when we needed it. Christine is also very kind. She always made sure we were well situated and answered any questions we had. The location is very good. It is very near a lot of the popular tourist destinations, and there is a grocery store and gas station right next door. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay.
