What a lovely place with the amazing Gianluca as host. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to help us settle in to our Italian trip. The property is stunning and very ancient and authentic. It’s a great place that resonates with the spirit of the medieval times. Lots of original features balanced with modern conveniences and a real presence from the past. A great base to travel the region and experience all that the country side has to offer. ❤️

and discover the Lago Trasimeno area. Gianluca is a wonderful host, ever helpful and very fast in his communication. He recommended hiking trails (very valuable as there are so many private roads and properties), wineries and even sold us some of his self-made olive oil. Hope to meet again.

The most unique apartment we have ever rented on our travels. The owners took a great amount of care to make this part of a castle into a present day apartment without compromising the “medieval spirit”. And the host was extremely helpful when we needed some help during a medical emergency. Our only complaint would be about the internet - very low speed and we lost it a couple of times.

Gianluca was a perfect host. Communication was great, he met us at the property to show us everything we needed to know for our stay. He responded immediately every time I reached out to him. The apartment is spotless and very comfortable for my husband, 3 kids (my youngest is 16) and me. Kitchen had all the utensils needed to prepare a meal when we didn’t go out for dinner, market & pharmacy are close by. View from outside apartment is spectacular. All of Gianluca’s recommendations were fantastic. I imagine because of its location to the lake, it would be especially wonderful in the summer, but it was a great place to be in December. If I was ever visiting this part of Italy again, this is where we’d stay. Highly recommend this very special place that is extremely well priced!

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable stay. We had a minor problem with the hot water in the bathroom and Gianluca was very responsive to our concerns. This did not affect our stay and I mention it because I was impressed with Gianluca's response and attention. This is a beautifully restored property which is charming and also includes modern comforts. We had a very relaxing stay and I would return here. In addition to satellite TV, there was a small but varied selection of books, including children's books available downstairs.

The property is just as pictured and well stocked (even some basic groceries which was great since I arrived on a Sunday evening and couldn't find an open market). Gianluca met me and walked me through everything as well as giving me some recommendations of things to check out in the area. Would definitely stay again if I return to the area.

We loved this property! Great experience to stay in a castle/rocca. The apartment is very updated, clean, quiet, and a joy to stay in. Gianluca was very hospitable helping w restaurant suggestions, bicycles , even sharing fresh local truffles w us. The location of the property was great for visiting wonderful hilltop towns around beautiful Lake Trasimeno. We also visited Assisi and Orvieto which were about 60 minutes away and both wonderful. Thank you so much for a terrific visit to Umbria!!

Nice comfortable quiet stay in a beautifully renovated apartment in a small castle near Lake Trasemino. Quiet setting with lots of parking. Beautiful kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Also a lower level with TV, many books and sofa. Comfortable queen sized bed with comfortable bed pillows too. Gianluca is owner and very nice and helpful. His girlfriend even made us a cheese bread loaf. Two bicycles ready for our use free of charge. Nice location to check out many towns. We would definitely stay here again. You can tell Gianluca takes pride in his business.

We had a good time in the Rocca Incarnata. The apartment is nicely furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed. And most important: Gianluca is a very warm and caring person!

We had a lovely few days staying in this apartment which is located within an old restored fortress. It was very well equipped and tastefully furnished. The owner Gianluca very kindly provided bikes and we cycled around part of Lake Trasimeno ,which is visible from the garden of the apartment, and enjoyed lake fish at the nearby restaurants. It was a good base to explore the lovely towns around the lake and spectacular hill towns to the south.
