Stayed Nov 7, 2025The tent was amazing, the online pictures are accurate, and the space exceeded our expectations. Jessica and TJ are wonderful hosts- very attentive and it is obvious the business is their passion project. There are currently two tents and a third will soon be available. I highly recommend Wheat Creek Outpost if glamping is your jam.

Stayed Oct 10, 2025We had a wonderful time! The property is beautiful, quiet, and well maintained. The owners have put a lot of thought into the sustainability of the land long term. Great location! Quick trips to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Columbus and the Tryon Equestrian Center. The glampimg tents are top notch. They definitely have all the modern amenities and you forget sometimes that you are in a tent. The interior design is fabulous and they have thought about every last detail down to the smallest branded coaster! When we arrived there was a dog bed, blanket, towels and treats for our furry family members, a hand written note greeting us, and a brochure for all the specifics that we needed to know. A stocked kitchenette with everything we needed for grilling all the way down to roasting sticks for fireside s'more's. The bathroom had all the necessities including special makeup towels and towels for the dogs. We were not left needing anything and if we did, the owners always asked if we needed anything when they saw is. Outside on the covered deck we used the grill, had a table and chairs and Adirondack chairs for relaxing. While we had a personal firepit with everything we needed to build a fire, we chose to sit around the firepit by the camp lodge. The Outpost had a coffee station and a candy jar with dog treats and more seating. There are tables by the pond to enjoy the fountain. Creekside hammocks and a beautiful grove to wonder. Thanks TJ, Jessica & Dudley!
