It features a clean, southern boho setting that opens onto your very own private patio. Inside, the large bay window faces the south, where sunrise and sunsets over wondrous skies are nothing but magical.

BATHHOUSE:
Within a few steps from your private dome, you will have full access to a Bathhouse Dome; a common space for guests to share. The Bathhouse has two (2) walk-in rain showers with spacious changing areas and two (2) restrooms built with privacy in mind. Enjoy complimentary Bath & Body Works products.

GUEST ACCESS:
You can find our location through GPS by searching “Sierra Dome Escape” or upon booking, you will receive step by step directions. During your stay, you will have full access to Terlingua Ranch Lodge. There you can enjoy access to a Mountain View pool, cafe, and laundry room.

Please note: Terlingua Ranch Lodge is 15 miles away (26 minute drive) on an asphalt paved road. The last 3 miles are gravel only with a speed limit of 15 mph. 4-wheel drive vehicles recommended.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Sierra Dome Escape is located in a natural desert environment, home to cacti and thorny vegetation. Guests are advised to exercise caution, as we are not responsible for any tire damage or injuries resulting from contact with natural desert flora.

The property is entirely powered by the sun, and our solar panels can only support what is already on site, plus your phone chargers and other low consuming devices. Keep in mind that on a stormy day, there will be less power available. In case of really bad weather (rare), there could be no power at all and therefore all amenities requiring electricity won’t work.

We are not responsible for weather, car trouble, car towing, change of heart, pandemics, natural disasters, or any other unforeseen event making guests wish to cancel. Thank you for understanding.

We had an amazing time staying at the dome. The owner was very responsive, and it was a truly unique experience. Big Bend and Terlingua Ghost Town are a short(ish) drive away, and it was nice to be a little bit off the grid (although the domes have wifi). The accommodations were very nice and overall it was great!

The dome was exactly what we expected however, the host missed a couple of basic details. We arrived 6 hours after the check-in time and the dome was not ready. We contacted the host and after several calls the cohost responded. The linen was changed but coffee pods were not refilled. For coffee drinkers this was disappointing. On the second night we ran out of toilet paper. The host and cohost were responsive however, these details should not have been missed.

First- we LOVED the dome. It was such a unique experience. Every detail was so thought out and we had everything we needed. The dome and bath house were both clean and very well maintained. One of our best vacations yet. 100% recommend and we can’t wait to come back, hopefully with some friends next time!
