Embrace the fresh air at Khushatta Hills Ranch! Nestled near Lake Livingston and Sam Houston National Park, our site is the ideal retreat for outdoor activities and cozy glamping experiences during this beautiful season.

Your 'Alzeda' Glamping Tent offers the comforts of home with the beauty of nature:

- One plush queen and one full-size bed for ultimate relaxation.
- A mini-fridge and coffee station, a dining table to share home cooked meals.
- Heating to keep you snug oncool nights.
- Fire pits and grills for roasting marshmallows or preparing hearty meals on crisp evenings.
- Clean shared outside bathroom facilities with hot showers to warm up after a day outdoors.

While our glamping units at Khushatta Hills offer an upgrade from traditional camping, it's important to remember that they are still tents situated in the heart of beautiful, natural surroundings. With this scenic location comes the possibility of encountering some of nature's smaller inhabitants, bugs and other creepy-crawly friends may occasionally find their way into the tents, despite our best efforts to keep them out.

We do everything we can to minimize these little visitors, but a true outdoor experience often comes with a few surprises. We encourage guests to embrace the beauty of nature, knowing that a little wildlife is part of the charm!

Enjoy fun with games like horseshoes, bean bag toss, and board games. Experience local adventures nearby, such as hiking through Sam Houston National Park's scenic trails, exploring Lake Livingston’s fishing spots, or browsing the seasonal farmer's markets in Coldspring.

This is one of three glamping tents at Khushatta Hills. If you're traveling with a larger group, let us know, and we can direct you to our other cozy tents, including an ADA-accessible option and a tent perfect for couples. Book your fall escape today!

My wife and I are avid campers but had been searching for a place to go to take our daughter to, hoping to introduce her slowly to the lifestyle. My family stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The tent was spacious and made for a nice retreat from the days of exploring, we spent our nights cooling off on the porch doing a puzzles as we watched the fireflies and listen to the sound of our fire. The campsite was very spacious, outdoor showers, outhouse style bathrooms with modern functioning, plenty of amenities close by as well if you are lacking anything. The town was small but extremely friendly. The campsite is also really close to the statepark and can help to keep idle hands busy. Our host Ingrid was amazing. She was informative, engaging, and down to Earth. As soon as we arrived she came to check in on us and help us get comfortable. She also manages the land and kept us informed on when she would be working on any of the amenties or landscape. It was a great time and for those of you who see this and worry it may come off as to glampy I want to reassure that it is a healthy balance. I hope you take the time to visit this hidden gem and enjoy it as much as my family did.

We stayed here between Christmas Day and New Year’s 2024. The tent/cabin was perfect for us! Comfortable beds with plenty of blankets and pillows, towels, coffee pot, mini frig, outdoor showers/sinks/bathrooms, horseshoes, Campfire pits, BBQ grills for those who want to cook (we ate out in town instead). Ms. Ingrid was the absolute best hostess! It rained much of our visit and we had my grandson with us, so she brought us some board games and other games to have indoor fun. She also has firewood and gas bottle for rent as well. 5 min to the cute little town of Coldwater. We also enjoyed horseback riding 45 min away and bowling about 20 min away. My grandson especially enjoyed the outdoor showers on both the warm and cooler days! There are 4 glamping sites and 1 RV site. Very safe, peaceful and quiet. I loved every minute we were here, even when it rained and stormed. Reminded me of my childhood watching the rain and occupying our time either simple pleasures. It was a wonderful week! Thank you for your hospitality Ms. Ingrid.

This was absolutely a perfect relax and reset for me. The host met me at the tent and went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed. She even gathered me some wood and went to get me a lighter. I did have enough service to FT home, I have T-Mobil. If cell service is a concern.if you have kids, the tents are in a good fenced area. The gate is left open, so you’d need to monitor that 1 spot. As a parent it was good to know they would be safe. I didn’t go out much so I’m not sure of things to do around the area. There was a total of 5 chairs and a picnic table there, so plenty of seating. There are a couple of plugs inside and 2 good sized fans. I do recommend bringing a starter log, smaller wood pieces, or an ax. The wood pieces (there’s lots around the trees) are large pieces and if you want a good flame, you’ll need smaller bits. I also brought an extra blanket. The beds have nice clean sheets and quilts, I just tend to get cold at night :). I can’t wait to take my family with me next time! Board games and a soccer ball and we’d be set for a couple of days!
