Amazing location

The cleanest cabin I’ve ever stayed at ! Wish we could have stayed longer. Easy to find. Quiet. Great location since Cades cove is not far and we went there every day.

The Yellow Door Cabin was an excellent location. The Townsend area is great if you want a quiet, laid-back getaway to the Smoky Mountains area without all the hassle and bustle of Gatlinburg. It's a short drive to Cades Cove, Tuckaleechee Caverns, and several other attractions. The loft has a comfortable king-sized bed, but there is no noise or light isolation from the main room. The walls are fairly thin, and sounds carry pretty well. Overall, a great location, and would definitely stay again.

Cabin porches dirty with leaves and spider webs everywhere. Inside reasonably clean. Toaster only heated on one coil. Too strong smell of room deodorizer.

Everything was perfect. We did have to contact the host and had quick responses. Would definitely book again!

Great little cabin tucked away in the woods but close to town and the national park. We always enjoy our stay in the yellow door cabin.

I’d give this 4.5 stars. Everything was as described. Beautiful secluded location. Close enough to all the attractions. Only thing that wasn’t good was the AC. It was about 78-80 degrees most of our trip and it was still very hot in the cabin. Only like 3 vents (none in the bedroom or loft) so the air cannot circulate. Opened a few windows which helped in the evening. Fire pit was great. Hot tub was good but didn’t get super hot. Good communication from the host. Overall- good property, would stay again, but if you’re coming on a warm weekend you may wantto bring some extra fans.

This was a great location, driveable to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, as well as minutes from Townsend. Property had a nice hot tub on the back porch and a nice front porch seating area. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Our group was three women. Since there is only one bathroom, my only suggestion would be to add another mirror in a bedroom for getting ready. Enjoyed our weekend.

Great cabin. You will not find a better value, period. Just outside of the park, very close to Cades Cove and plenty of shopping and places to eat in town. The cabin had everything we needed and felt secluded. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking. Absolutely no problems. We will be back.

Booking and check-in was super easy with keyless entry. The cabin was so quaint and cozy and well stocked with the essentials Also, the cabin is conveniently located just outside of town, so only a few miles to good food, a grocery store, and gas station. The hot tub was super relaxing after a long day in Cades Cove. Cades Cove was our reason for the trip and it did not disappoint with seeing many gorgeous bucks, a hog, and several bear! We would definitely book again upon returning to the area.

We stayed at his other properties before this and were amazed at how wonderful they were. Unfortunately we weren’t able to make this trip due to illness but the property owner was very responsive and we are definitely planning on coming in and making up for lost time.

Such a peaceful place - the perfect alternative to the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! We loved this cabin and the area where it was located. Everything in the unit worked as expected. We’re completely sold on staying in Townsend now, and we’ll be back!

The cabin was very cute and perfect for our weekend stay in Townsend,TN with my son, who stayed in the loft. Big TVs in living room and bedroom along with a smaller one in the loft area. We were able to watch the football games on Saturday after enjoying a morning at Cades Cove. The contact for the cabin was very attentive and answered us very quickly. Everything was as advertised. The hot tub was amazing and the keyless entry made the checkin process so easy. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin.

Me and my college roommates met at the Yellow Door Cabin for a weekend of hiking, and viewing the fall colors. The cabin was such a lovely spot to relax, catch up and enjoy nature. The location made it perfect to get to trails and park without the burden of traffic. The host was so kind giving four women a little extra time to check out the morning of our departure. While we were there we utilized the hot tub and fire pit. The kitchen was tiny, yet efficient and the beds were comfortable. I highly recommend staying at the Yellow Door cabin.

We enjoyed our stay and wish it could’ve been longer! We were able to make good use of the the fire pit and the kids loved the upstairs loft bedroom. Mom and dad were glad to have their own space as well. We will be back!

This cabin is private and very clean. Townsend TN is the way to go if you are going to the Smokies! This cabin had everything you need. It was somewhat hard to find when we arrived but once we found it I appreciated how convenient the location was to everything. We would stay there again.

The cabin is cozy and comfortable, surrounded by woods, peaceful and quiet. A sample of the owner's/manager's responsiveness: we reported that we couldn't find the lid to the coffee pot. A few hours later, there was brand new coffee pot at the door. (There was no urgency; the Keurig worked fine.) Great location too. Townsend is closest to the national park without the tourist mayhem or towns like Gatlinburg. I highly recommend the Yellow Door Cabin. (I'd love to get back there for fall colors.)

Really cozy and inviting cabin. Had everything we wanted, and the hot tub was perfect for recovering from all of the amazing hikes! If we stay in the area again we will definitely try to rebook this place!

This was our second time staying at this cabin. We love that it has the hot tub and a fire pit as not all cabins do. It’s is the perfect size for us and we highly recommend. The cabin was clean and centrally located to everything we wanted to do.

We loved the cabin. The beds are cozy and the cabin had everything we needed. It is perfectly located to Cades Cove. We will stay here again.

It was great except for the dogs barking. It was clean and well laid out and had everything we needed for our stay. It was quiet and very private. Loved our stay!

We enjoyed the cabin nestled in the woods. It was very private and cozy. We spent many hours sitting on the front porch. A bear even visited us by the back porch. The hot tub was an added luxury after hiking in the woods in the park

We went for two nights. The location is great and the cabin is wonderful. We especially enjoyed the outdoor Hot Tub!

We loved how this cabin feels remote and private, but is conveniently located close to the main road in Townsend. We were able to walk from our cabin to the sidewalk that runs through the town. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable!

My kids and I enjoyed the yellow door cabin. One night on the back deck railing my son saw 2 owls! We had a great time there tucked away just minutes from anything you need. Booking was a breeze as well!

Cabin was great. Theres a few thing that it needs.#1 NEEDS LITES PUT ON STEPS GOING UP TO CABIN. DONT KNOW HOW MANY TIMES WE TRIPED AT NITE. ALSO THE SHOWER NEEDS TO BE FIXED VERY LITTLE WATER COMES

Quiet, and perfect spot to get to the park.

Stayed for 4 nights and have no complaints, perfect for a quiet getaway. Far enough from everything to be peaceful but not far enough to be inconvenient to run to town.

Yellow Door was perfect for our week in Townsend. The property is easy to get to, close to all activities in Townsend and the park, and was very clean. We would definitely stay here again. Communication with the manager was great.

We had a wonderful stay at the yellow door cabin! Nestled in a peaceful, wooded area just minutes from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the location couldn’t have been better. It was quiet and secluded, but still close enough to restaurants, hiking trails, and Cades Cove.The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed—from a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable beds and even a hot tub.We've stayed here three times now, and we already can't wait to return.

A little outdated but overall good cabin! Hot-tub cover was flaking and several small flakes were left in the water but management knew of issue and had new covers already on order and awaiting delivery. Blind on lower bedroom were broke and needed replaced. Other than that, great place for a small family to stay!

We had a lovely stay in Townsend. The cabin was perfect for our family. We found plenty to do around town and had a great time ending our night by the fire.

I stayed at Yellow Door Cabin with 3 girlfriends and it was just what we needed! Such a well maintained property with everything we needed for a super relaxing weekend. We enjoyed cards/games, the hot tub and the comfortable beds as well as a wonderful fire in the fireplace. Great weekend trip! Fantastic cabin!

We loved this property and host! We had some worry about the incoming snow at the time of our trip and he was accommodating for the check-in, let us make new plans in case the snow got too bad, and salted the driveway! It was a fabulous cabin! Perfect for me and my sisters! We had such a great time and plan on using this same cabin space for future trips!Highly recommend!!

Super cute cabin! The pictures do not do it justice. The town of Townsend is so cute and it’s nice to stay away from the business of Gatlinburg. Lots of nice little restaurants and coffee shops. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. I will definitely stay again next time I’m in that area.

The cabin was great for me and my hubby for 2 nights. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The king size bed was very comfortable! It was so easy to get to but was very private. Would definitely stay here again!

This is my husband and I’s second stay with the painted door cabins. This year we rented the yellow door because of the loft for my stepdaughter. It’s the perfect space for kids and she loved it. It allowed for us to have our own private spaces without being on top of eachother. The cabin was fully equipped with what I needed to make our Thanksgiving dinner. Cannot wait to book our next stay!

I loved that this cabin was not in the middle of nowhere and secluded enough for solitude but not isolated from civilization. The property was clean and well stocked with just about anything needed to enjoy your stay. Only thing I wish is that there was a dummy guide to using the fireplace because we didn’t have a clue how to get it started. Definitely would stay again!

We had a very nice stay at the yellow door cabin! Everything was great, the cabin was clean and the hot tub worked great! The location is very nice too if you’re wanting to get away from the business of Pigeon Forge and we liked that Cade’s Cove was only about a 20 minute drive away.

It was a very nice and cozy place to stay! We really enjoyed the hot tub (it was way too full tho). Very clean and had no issues. Was hoping to see some bears but we didn’t get to.

The yellow door cabin was perfect. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Made a trip through the Dragon and had a fantastic lunch at Topoco. Scenery was beautiful.

We stayed two nights at The Yellow Door Cabin. It’s the perfect location close to Cade’s Cove, and convenient enough to drive into Pigeon Forge if you’re looking for something to do. Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the cabin in Townsend without really knowing the difference between staying in Townsend and Staying in Pidgeon Forge and are we glad we did. So happy we stayed in the quiet, quaint small town without the thousands of people. The cabin was clean and easy to locate. We were very comfortable. The ONLY complaint was the TV (the few times we watched) was mounted too high above the fireplace. But that is a first world problem isn't it? If we returned to GSMNP we would stay in the same cabin again. This is the best place to access the National Park too, MUCH less traffic that way.

Directions were very detailed to know exactly where the property was located. Pictures were exactly what you get. Very quiet, very clean, great place to stay.

This cabin is located in a quiet, secluded area in Townsend. Very clean and well maintained. Easy check-in and check-out. Manager who assisted with booking and logistics was responsive and helpful. I live in Tennessee and travel to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park quite often to hike and photograph scenery. This is the place I will book in the future. High;y recommend.

This was a wonderful cabin! Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the cabin had everything you need for a relaxing weekend.

Our stay was amazing. Clean place, if I had to make any suggestions for improvement, it would be to add a ceiling fan for up stairs. But it was awesome non the less

next time will get a place that does not have to many steps. My husband climbed that stairs to get front door open. I walked up the hill to go in back door. My husband is 75 and I am 73. We both have problems when we have to walk far places. We just relaxed around the cabin and other times we went out to eat. We ate at the cabin mostly at lunch sometimes supper to. The problem I had with the tub it was slippery when I got in to take a shower and no safety bars to hold on to. I got out of the tub and just washed off when I was there since having trouble with the tub. You just need a walk in shower. Other than that it was a nice play to stay.

Visiting from FL, it was the perfect place for my granddaughter and I. Morning coffee on the front porch, winding down in the hot tub after hiking through the smokies. Definitely would stay here again.

We went to Tennessee to explore the Smoky Mountains. The plan was to stay in Gatlinburg, but upon arriving, we realized it was more touristy than we realized. I searched and found this little gem, and we could not have been happier. It was tucked away in the woods but very close to the quant town of Townsend and the Smokies. The cabin had everything we needed. The covered back porch with grill and hot tub was utilized often! The bed was comfy, with plenty of blankets & pillows (they were a little flat, so I was happy I traveled with my own!) Overall, we loved it all and plan to come back!
