We have had two bad experiences either Book Hocking and unfortunately it’s not possible to know that you are booking either them through Expedia… worse yet, it books through them via Vbro… Three weeks ago a horrible experience with broken hot tub, disgusting pots and pans, not a clean cabin….. This weekend…. 25822 Big Pine Rd, OH 43149 Wyandot Cabin Disappointed and Disgusted – Poorly Maintained Cabin We were really looking forward to a peaceful family getaway in Rockbridge, Ohio, and chose this cabin to avoid the hassle of camping. Unfortunately, our stay turned into a frustrating and uncomfortable experience due to the terrible conditions of the cabin. •    Trash from previous guests was left behind, and it had spilled out onto the porch and surrounding area. It stayed there for our entire stay, attracting bugs and creating an awful first impression. •    The porch and entrance were filthy, not swept or cleaned before our arrival. •    The firepit chairs were broken, making the outdoor area useless and unsafe. •    The shower was disgusting, with visible mold and mildew buildup in the grout and tile. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, and we didn’t feel comfortable using it. •    No dishwasher, and the kitchen utensils were in such bad shape we didn’t even want to use them to cook. •    The overall maintenance and cleanliness of the cabin was completely unacceptable — it felt neglected and uncared for. These are the worst experiences from the many places

Upon arrival there was garbage on the porch. The propane grill was dirty. Three doors downstairs are not secure. Inside was really clean. I liked the hot tub, the fire pit

The property was exactly what we thought it would be. It is a cabin in the woods that is quite peaceful. It serves all your needs when you are visiting Hocking Hills. It was fully stocked with necessities which made it as easy transition for visitors. It was also close to some of the hikes that visitors enjoy. However, there are a couple things that would make the stay better for any future renters. 1) Upon entry you could smell dampness / humidity in the air. There was a humidifier downstairs that was full and the humidity reading read 90%. It was a 3 gallon humidifier in which we emptied every 10-12 hours for the duration of our stay. 2) Assuming due to the moisture in the house, there was black mold growing in the shower at the base of the shower and on the ceiling. 3) The hot tub water was a murky greenish color upon arrival and stayed that way for the duration of the trip. Those are some fixes that would have made our stay a 5/5.

There was a steep climb to the cabin with lots of washout on the road. The road is definitely in need of repair. The hot tub water level was low at arrival but was resolved quickly after asking. The lights over the kitchen sink didn’t work and made the kitchen area quite dark. Also the filtered water in the fridge flowed so slowly it was almost comical. Otherwise the cabin itself was great. There is now a new hot water tank as it gave out and “flooded” into one of the bedrooms. Lots of water all over the downstairs! We were without any water for about 8 hours until it got fixed. Also the power went out for a few hours one evening. It is a very secluded cabin in the woods. I guess it’s what you might expect.

Unit was fully stocked and clean. Plenty of towles for everyone. Access road is a challenge for low profile vehicles but managed.

This cabin was a gem. It was comfortable, had everything we needed, and in a great location. Steep access road, but you can do it in low without 4WD.

Cabin was clean! Our only negative was the driveway! We wouldn't have been able to make it weather was any worse. Im also terrified of heights and the whole time we were on the driveway, i was holding my breath! Its up on a mountain, and no guard rails! Other than that, we had a great time!
