Stayed Jul 21, 2025Our stay was fantastic, great place to stay in Big Bear with the family. The kids loved the backyard playground, the horseshoe pit, and the bunk room was perfect for them. Our dog had plenty of space to roam in the large, fenced yard. The location was ideal—just minutes from the Lake, Meadow Park, downtown near the shops, and the dog park.We enjoyed the hot tub, BBQ, the fire pit in the evenings, and the garage was a great bonus for storing gear.Highly recommend for families with kids and pets!

Stayed May 16, 2025This is a lovely home - all on one floor - with great outdoor space. The bedrooms are a nice size as was the living room and kitchen. Our party was 4 adults; a 3-1/2 yr old, a 1-1/2 yr old and 2 dogs. While we did not make use of the barbecue grill or hot tub, it was nice to know they were there. The playhouse was well used by the kiddos, especially the swings. Our toddlers were too young for the game table but it had a LOT of games on it and could be great fun for older kids. (We did play Candyland with our older grandchild). Other games we saw included Battleship, Simon, Guess Who, a match game and MANY more. The washer & dryer are conveniently located - right off the kitchen. There were a a lot of kitchen tools. Also bowls, a sheet pan, cutting board, very nice knives, a drip-coffeemaker (we brought a Keurig), toaster, microwave. Be sure to look through ALL the drawers before deciding something's missing. The oven, fridge and dishwasher were large & very nice. The living room sofas were a light color so we covered them with the throws that were provided to keep them clean. You are in a residential area so no lake view but the surrounding trees are lovely (except for the pine cones that have spikes under the cones ... not good for kids or dogs). House is not a far drive to any supplies you might need. One warning: Amazon delivery found us as did my meal delivery service BUT the Post Office does NOT deliver to property addresses. You need to send to the property's P.O. Box.

Stayed Feb 1, 2025My family and I loved our time at Wren’s Cottage. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and wanted to stay close to Snow Summit, and this was a fantastic location! We made the 1 mile walk with our gear no problem and thoroughly enjoyed climbing in the hot tub after. This will definitely be the first place I look for next time I’m in Big Bear.

Stayed Nov 26, 2024House was beautifully done with a retro 60’s vibe with a metal/tinsel tree and a color wheel to illuminate it ( like I had growing up) clean with a gorgeous patio /spa area, great swing set for the little sand a horseshoe pit. Very woody inside with games, cozy fireplace ! We had a great time cooking our Thanksgiving meal with everything we needed to prepare. Close to everything!!!!! Highly recommend!👍👍

Stayed Aug 9, 2024Prime location! Lots of activities nearby. House located on quiet street. Super easy check-in and check-out process. House has a lot of portable fans, which are great to have on warm days! Cleaning crew could have done a better job prepping outdoor area for our arrival. Grease trap needed for outdoor grill, and some of the window locks were broken/didn't work. We were unable to locate a hairdryer as well. Overall, great property and would stay again!

Stayed Jun 6, 2024Loved our stay here. Probably too big for just me and my spouse but we wanted it for the location and hot tub. They could definitely use some motion sensor lights for those who are arriving at night. Our iPhone light didn't cut it and no porch light was on. No Towel bar or hooks in the bathroom was annoying but not a dealbreaker. Very clean and cozy. We would stay here again if we had friends joining us, because of the size.

Stayed Mar 13, 2024This was a great property for our family of four + one dog. The house was spacious, and we loved the large backyard and Infinity game table. We played lots of Monopoly! We had a good experience, but I have recommendations for the property owner and for those who are considering a stay. The showers had no soap or shampoo & conditioner. Not that big of a deal. We usually travel with the essentials, but we did have to run out and buy soap for showering. The kitchen also lacked basic essentials, like spices and oil. Thankfully, we had planned to cook in while staying and I thought to pack some olive oil, so we didn't have to buy any. The kitchen could also use containers, ziplock bags and foil for storing leftovers, as well as sponges for washing dishes. We had an overnight snowstorm, and because the driveway was on a steep incline, we couldn't get out. My husband and boys were heading out to snowboard, and there were no shovels on the property to dig out! I called the property management company and they said they would have someone drop them off, but didn't know how long it would take. Thankfully, some gentlemen driving around the streets with equipment and shovels helped to get us out. The shovels did arrive, but after the guys were gone. Finally, you may want to bring towels for the hot tub. They only had white bath towels. And, you''ll need to supply your own wood for the fireplace. Still, the house was awesome for a quick getaway and we would stay here again!
