Windancer Lookout – Appalachian Mountain Views from Every Window

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the screen porch. We took 2 comfortable camp chairs and glad we did. Cabin is clean kitchen has most things except hot pads, plastic glasses for porch. AC worked great and wifi was too. Hot tub clean but is so loud when running. And the fire pit area needs to be mowed and made more appealing. Take firewood. And the check-in door is on the screen porch in the back. Not at the front door.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is very quaint. We were looking for a nice small, cozy cabin in the mountains and Windancer Lookout fit the bill. Driving up the road through the subdivision can give you a little anxiety if you’re not used to mountain roads, but it’s completely doable since they were paved. We saw deer frequently. Once coming up the road and the other out our window as they went their way up the road. The location was perfect, in between Helen and Cleveland. I would suggest maybe somehow to add a way to hang clothes (none of the rooms had closets that could be utilized). Also, I’m sure basic cleaning is done, but just going in with a duster and getting the cobwebs would do the cabin some justice. Also, pot holders would be nice. Basic supplies, like garbage bags and toilet paper, actually we were provided enough for the week. Best part of the cabin was the view! Pictures can never do it justice! I can only imagine the fall views and summer. I’m sure gorgeous!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Windancer Lookout. It was located in a quiet community with a stunning view. It had everything we needed. The hot tub felt clean, which was a big plus for us! The only thing I will point out is it is definitely in need of an update. Everything in that cabin is well used and would have been cozier if the furniture wasn't so worn out. It is also in need of a deep clean. Overall a great place to stay.

The place was nice not really what we thought but it did the job never could use fireplace. when we came in on first day its smelled like propane but went away with time and opening doors and windows. Hot tub was a nice touch for the place.

The cleanliness was outstanding and even down to the scent of the sheets was amazing, they smelled so clean. The location of the house is on the top of the hill so the climb was a little steep, but it was still enjoyable. It was also very close to Helen and Cleveland where babyland is located so that was great. The beds were very comfortable and plentiful and the TV was equipped with all streaming devices so you can log into. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely stay here again. I think the icing on the cake was the little guest book where you could write your experience, what you did in town and I thought that was so sweet, very nice touch. Also, after our first night stay the property management gave us a call just to see how things were going, and I thought that was very nice.

The home has nice qualities but needs some attention to detail. Lighting in the bedrooms is bad, and the mirror situation is an issue if people are getting ready for any event. Large bedroom upstairs you have to stand on the bed to pull light light string.
