Wildwood in the Pines - Unique Adirondack Log Cabin - High Peaks

We absolutely love this cabin. It was our 5th time staying here. It is just perfect - the house itself is spacious, cozy, beautiful, very well maintained and everything we need is on hand. The location is so beautiful in the middle of the forest, safe for children to play, yet close to hiking trails, Lake Placid, and Whiteface Mountain. We cannot wait to be back next year!

Beautiful cabin, was perfect for us

We had the most amazing stay with wonderful heated tile floors and all the kitchen amenities we could ask for! The roads were well maintained with all the snow and we were close to all our outdoor adventures.

Beautiful home, well maintained, and very nicely nestled in the woods. There is a lot of up and down stairs as the main entrance is the basement level and kitchen is on the second floor. The only tv is in the loft (we wanted to catch the Bills game). Plenty of attractions, hiking, fishing in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was very clean and cozy. We let Lorri know we would be arriving at night and she left the lights on for us which was very helpful. Cabin is located close to shopping and hiking, and we enjoyed relaxing at the cabin afterwards.

Cabin was perfect! Really enjoyed to sit by the fire pit.

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and 15 month old grand daughter enjoyed our vacation. The cabin is lovely, clean, well equipped, and beautifully situated amongst towering pines on a very quiet unpaved road. What worked especially well for us was having a bedroom and full bath on the first and second floors, which allowed both family units to have their own space while still getting together for meals and also on the nice deck off the front of the cabin. We went on several hikes (climbed Jay Mountain and Baxter Mountain), enjoyed sometime in Lake Placid, and took the gondola ride at Whiteface. Very enjoyable! The hostess Lorri was also very communicative and helpful.

This is our 4th year staying at the cabin and it was as wonderful as always! Lorri is amazing and always accommodates our request quickly. We will be back next year again!

This was an amazing trip for us. From the radiant heat flooring to the three story a-frame tucked back in the woods of Jay NY. You could not ask for a more peaceful get away. Property was exactly as it appears on VRBO. Bryan

The cabin was great for a family long ski weekend. The Adirondack style was perfect. It was well stocked with everything needed for our party of 6. The radiant heating in the floors was an extra special touch. It is very accessible to Whiteface for a day at the slopes and some local restaurants and bars in Wilmington and neighboring towns.

A very cozy stay. all amenities were on point and the place was very clean and well maintained. Only thing that I'd say is missing is a wood burning fireplace, but the heated floors almost fully make up for that. Overall great stay, highly recommend and would rebook.

Cute house on a wooded lot in the area of Jay known as Ausable Acres. It is a bit of a drive from the main road. Kitchen is well supplied with salt, pepper, sugar, sugar, and tea. There is a drip coffeemaker, so you will need your own ground coffee. Dish, dishwasher, hand and laundry soap provided. You will need your own shampoo and shower soap. (this is not a complaint--just a heads-up on what to pack and what you can leave home).

The cabin is clean, cozy, and comfortable. The outdoor area is secluded enough but also not too remote. The location is near whiteface, lake placid, and lake saranac. It is ideal for those locations. Lorri was an awesome host and always responded to questions in a timely manner. I would definitely stay again and strongly recommend it to others.

We enjoyed a very relaxing, comfortable vacation and hope to return! The cabin was very clean and cozy. It had everything we needed in the way of linens and for food preparation and dining. Everything worked as expected. Lorri always responded quickly to any questions. We brought our little Norwich Terrier and had to carry her up and down the stairs to and from the main floor, but if stairs are no problem for you then I highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay!

Home is beautiful, clean, and well kept. The area also is quiet and scenic. Owner responds quickly and is very helpful. We would love to go back!

The cabin was outstanding! The pics do not do it justice. Cole enough to Wilmington and Lake Placid so we could enjoy the sights/restaurants yet far enough away to see deer and wildlife in the woods next to the cabin. Rained at night so we did not get to enjoy the fire pit area but it’s very inviting. And the owners were extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. We will be back! Tom and Amy
