Red Feather Lakes, Colorado
This is a nature lovers dream. This cozy cabin-cottage was built in 1962. It has two bedrooms and one bath with a shower only. It has a large great room and full-size kitchen all packed into 834 ft.² One side of the cabin has a small Aspen Grove and a Spring brook that runs through it. It is in Red Feather Lakes Village, so there are other cabins in this little cabinhood. The village is surrounded by 7 Lakes! There is a dartboard, games, jumbo size Jenga and yardzee, not to mention fire pit and picnic table and a propane barbecue. You can walk to town in 10 minutes where you will find a general store to meet all your needs as well as the post office, Tavern, library and Ace hardware. The cabin has a wood-burning stove and a propane fireplace. There are lots of activities to do in natures playground, such as hiking, biking, fishing, paddle boarding, horseback riding, golfing, hunting, ice fishing, ice-skating, tubing, snowshoeing and more.
There is free firewood in the back woodshed. There are camping chairs in the small shed for your use. Cell service can be spotty unless you use wifi calling. Free Wi-Fi is available at the cabin.
The owner lives on the property in the she shed which is right next door to the cabin on the northside. It is also set back about 20 feet from the entrance of the cabin. owner can be available for anything necessary or you can have complete privacy.

The whole place is so rustic and fun, we just love being there. Two things I would direct for possible improvement: the toilet is very low, and not so easy for older bodies to fit or to get down and up due to the tiny knee space. Don't know what one could do about the space issue, but a higher toilet would be a big help. Also, I think there were dogs in the space, and I didn't think there were before when we rented here last year - I'm allergic, and I felt like I was being exposed to dogs, and also, I got dog hair on my clothing from something, likely the couch or the throw. Tracy is such an attentive host, cares about her guests and the cabin is well-equipped, thoughtfully set up, and the instructions are thorough for everything. I saw deer, hummingbirds, other birds - it is just so much fun! Thank you!
Cabin was cozy! 4 average size adults fit perfectly. Bathroom is tiny, our 6’10” friends would not fit well. EVERYTHING else about this cabin and property is perfect! The welcome sign and snacks was a warming welcome. Loved the paths in the yard with all the bird feeders. Hummingbirds were amazing. Saw deer and baby while drinking coffee in the early morning. We would definitely return. Thank you for a warm cozy visit.
Has everything you need for your stay, relaxing stay away from the day to day grind. Tracy answered any questions we had. Thank you Tracy
It was absolutely wonderful! The cabin itself is super cozy and clean! The view is great. The neighbors dog is always friendly coming over! loved the fire pit area! We even saw two deers in the morning!
It is a nice cabin with little bedrooms & bathroom. The living area was nicely sized. The fridge had lots of condiments available & the host left a nice gift basket.
We have property by Red Feather Lakes but there isn't a cabin on the property yet. This cabin was perfect to unwind at night after spending the day hiking on our property and clearing away trees to make way for our fire pit and cabin clearing! Our family of 5 had plenty of room to enjoy our time here! Will definitely stay here again on a future visit!!!! Communication with host was above and beyond! Tracey was very accommodating for our trip! I have used VRBO numerous times and this was by far our best experience yet!
Cozy cabin just secluded enough for a wonderful weekend getaway!
