What a fantastic place to stay in lovely and fun Black Mountain. The cabin was spacious but also cozy, clean and extremely well furnished, everything we needed in the kitchen! We found great restaurants and gift shops along Cherry Street, and playground and fun for the kids at Robert Lake Park. John and Rachel were great hosts, very easy to communicate with! We hope to stay here again for any future trips to this great spot !:)

This is just a great little cottage. Good location, plenty of space for hanging out...close to hiking and good food. We had a great stay, and always happy when hosts have some coffee / filters and spices in the kitchen so that you dont have to buy everything and can cook for a short stay.Would definitely recommend!

The kitchen was beautifully equipped. It had everything we needed. We loved the dishes and the coffee ! Mugs on the outside table watching the sunrise was heaven. The fireplace is cozy, we turned it on briefly, it was very warm. Everything was clean and this old lady enjoyed the swings so so much.

We had a wonderful week at the cabin! The whole house was neat and clean when we arrived; it was very cozy and inviting. The sleeping areas were spacious and the beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals during our stay. The coffee maker and the Keurig were especially appreciated!The kids loved the swing set and the movie collection. In the evenings it was lovely to put on a movie and work on a puzzle or play one of the board games that were provided. We had wonderful weather and took advantage of the porches and patio table to sit outside and enjoy a meal or a book.It was a perfect location for exploring the town of Black Mountain - and it was close to numerous walking and hiking trails. There was good information in the cabin about local trails - we especially liked the Catawba Falls hike and the trails around Warren Wilson College. The cabin was also a convenient drive to Asheville where we spent a day exploring.We absolutely hope to come back someday. There are still many places we would love to explore in the area and when we do we would choose to stay at this cabin again!

The cabin was wonderful! It was fully stocked with everything we needed and felt like home away from home. My family and I had a great time there and we hope to return soon!

The views were beautiful, cabin was VERY clean, and is just adorable. All appliances work, beds and furniture were super nice. Close to cool shops and great places to eat. We will definitely choose this home again for our vacation needs!

Perfect cabin with enough space for everyone to spread out and relax. Location was close to downtown Black Mountain and convenient to 40 to take trips to Asheville and other areas.

Great, private location. As advertised. Enjoyed the fireplace but didn’t have time for outdoor fire. Well-appointed - incl. puzzles and games - and clean in all the places that mattered. The one twin bed (far side of room) could use a new mattress so it can be more comfortably used by adults. Or better yet, replace it with a double bed so all 3 couples can be comfortable. Appreciated all the provided info on hikes. Should’ve stayed longer so we could’ve explored them. Thanks!

The directions to the cabin were spot on and the location is perfect for Black Mountain, Asheville, and all things WNC. Upon entering the cabin our first impression was the cleanliness of the cabin. This cabin is beautiful! The views are amazing and even though it is near town the place is very peaceful. The hosts communicate almost instantly and are very kind and generous. We are already looking at dates to return to this cabin.

This is our second time staying here and it was another excellent stay! The house is in a great location between Black Mountain and Montreat. Our family enjoyed hiking in Montreat during the morning hours and eating at local restaurants in Black Mountain later in the day. The host was very kind and prompt to respond to our questions. The house was very clean, well decorated, and it had everything we needed. Our family of 5 had plenty of room. We enjoyed using the gas log fireplace. We liked the Christmas tree they had decorated for the holidays. We also appreciated the DVD selection they had and were able to watch one of our favorite Christmas movies. The driveway is steep, but it was no problem. It is paved and well taken care of. We would stay here again in the future.

Rustic looking cabin, very well furnished and full of charm. We really enjoyed our visit.

John and Rachel were great hosts, they communicated frequently and were welcoming. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving here, it was a great area with lots of space in the cabin. We didn’t have any trouble cooking our dinner away from home, the kitchen is well supplied! We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and swings, plus it was also close to town. I recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

The host was quick to respond to any questions I had, and the cabin was absolutely perfect as a true American mountain getaway for a visit Brit. Great views!It would also be great for a family--with a swing set, picnic table, and several outdoor seating areas. Each bedroom was very private, with two of the bedrooms having outdoor patios.They had the Christmas tree decorated and lit for our arrival. Wonderful :)

We liked everything about our stay - the location, the house and the owners were all great and made for a wonderful week in Black Mountain.

This place is awesome. Very spacious, great location and very clean. It was a ten and hope to go back one day.

Cabin was super clean, spotless and cozy. Loved the gas fireplace. If we stayed one more night, we definitely would have had a fire in the fire pit. (Only stayed one night.) The wood was all chopped and ready to go. Plenty of parking. There is a steep driveway which may require special navigating for large, oversized vehicles. I believe our Chevy Silverado 2500 would fit just fine. Inside is comfy, kitchen well stocked and the beds are comfortable. There is a keurig with coffee pods. The hosts are great and the communication is excellent.. They leave a binder full of great information about the area. We went into the town of Black Mountain, plenty of restaurants, breweries, and gas stations.

This cabin was perfect for our family. Very cozy - we loved the fireplace! Place was spotless and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, we did not have great weather so could not enjoy the outdoor spaces. The view from the bedrooms was beautiful. And we got to see the mama and 2 baby bears!

Location was perfect! Black Mountain was literally right now the hill and Asheville was a short drive away (as was the Biltmore). The cabin had everything we needed, was super clean, and the hosts were great. We would definitely book this cabin again!

The cabin was as listed and the cabin owners were friendly and informative. Property was perfect for our needs of being able to have a base camp while we dropped our kids off at college. The fire pit was used and we enjoyed the space of the living room in order to have some friends over as well so everyone could feel comfortable. The only challenging part of the property is the driveway during the summer. It's fine, but I can only imagine that it's a little bit challenging. During the winter it wasn't unmanageable, but it was definitely a unique experience. Were able to see wildlife while we were there and the town is so amazing both Black mountainand montreat. The book that the family left for us gave great directions for some amazing trails and hiking experiences.

This cabin was clean and spacious. The host was easy to communicate with and gave very clear directions. It had everything we needed and was close to both Montreat and downtown Black Mountain. We would definitely stay there again.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful, sttocked with everything you could possibly need: from games to movies to a fully stocked kitchen and even had shampoo & conditioner which was helpful because I forgot mine!It's so close to activities, exploring, nature, shopping & restaurants. so there's lots to do if you want to go out and about. Plus it has lots of outside seating at the cabin, if you just want to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.The hosts were wonderful, available to answer any questions and made us feel welcomed. We definitely will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Black Mountain has lots to offer. We were there for a family event and it was the perfect location.

The cabin is so private with multiple spots around the cabin to stay out and enjoy the view. The cabin is very well decorated to fit the mountain area. Kitchen is well-stocked. Many towels are provided. We loved everything about this place. The owner is kind and very responsive! He is a very gracious host. Part of the driveway is steep but it is not a major concern at all. We will be back!

Minutes to downtown Black Mountain with the privacy of a mountain cabin. Super clean cabin with lots of space for a couple or family. We had a great stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

The home is spacious yet warm and inviting. Plenty of windows and outdoor seating areas. Beds were comfortable, but bring your pillow from home if you’re picky like I am. The cabin had everything we needed and more. There’s a sharp driveway turn half way up the sort of steep driveway which may require special navigating for large, lifted, or oversized vehicles. Not far at all from the Biltmore Eatate which was our main event but looking forward to returning to experience all the outdoor activities inspired by the photography and artwork. Hosts were very responsive yet we had no issues that needed attention. Would definitely stay again!

Exactly as described. The hosts provided excellent communication before, during, and after our stay. The cabin is very spacious and has everything we needed. It is also in a really great place with the views. It is close to a park and pool, downtown area with bars and businesses, and other great places. It was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. We will definitely be returning.

Could not think of anything to add to the stay. Very well appointed kitchen, bathrooms, living space (indoor and out), even laundry area! Super roomy, so plenty of space in great location. Excellent communication with hosts throughout.

This is a beautiful well appointed cabin. It has private location, yet close by to the town of Blackstone. We enjoyed exploring all the area has to offer. Biltmore is a must, along with all the wonderful stores, coffee shops, and antique shops you can find in Asheville and nearby towns. We look forward to our next trip there!

It was great to stay in this cabin in the woods

Our family of 5 enjoyed staying in this cabin for our winter vacation. It is conveniently located between Montreat and downtown Black Mountain. Montreat has some great hiking trails (some are still closed due to Hurricane Helene), and downtown had great places to eat and shop. The cabin is quiet and has beautiful mountain range views. It is clean, the furniture is comfortable, and we enjoyed using the indoor gas fireplace. Our family also liked playing the board games. There is satellite TV, and there are also plenty of DVDs to choose from. The driveway is steep, but it is paved and was not a problem for our SUV. The owners were helpful with directions and recommendations, and they were also quick to respond to any questions. We would book this cabin again in the future.

Property was perfect for what we needed for work. John is a wonderful host.

A cozy private cabin that is close enough every thing in town. Clean and well maintained

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. The home had everything we needed. We loved sitting outside on the patio to eat and the treehouse feel of the vaulted bedroom. Our kids enjoyed the DVDs and games that we found. The hosts were easy to communicate with. The location bewteen Montreat and Black Mountain was perfect. We hope to come back soon!
