Shenandoah, Virginia
Cozy, romantic getaway equipped with everything you need to stay in, with views of scenic mountains and farmlands, or get out and enjoy the beautiful Shenandoah Valley attractions that are all just a short drive away. Conveniently located 3 minutes (2.5 miles) from public river access. YFI. There is a ring doorbell camera in use at the entrance door.
My Fiancé and I was searching for a quick little get away for the weekend and came across The Nest. It was great, we had a really good time here. It was so quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed came in the Nest, the location was great for what we needed.
This was our second time staying at Whippoorwill Nest. The location is perfect, out of the way, but close to everything you need. The view of the mountains from the cabin is beautiful. You also have good cell service, which is a huge bonus. We will definitely continue to come back to this place ?
We did the North end day one and stopped at the VA Beer Museum to find some (to us) funny factoids about our forefathers. Day two, we did the southern half; much more wild/unkempt. This little cabin is fab for two! Hubby is right-side paralyzed and this little space was perfect (with some help up the two access stairs). Super quiet and a ton of deer to watch. I brought along pillows after reading a review but seriously not needed and we were in pillow heaven… Come stay! This place is clean and awesome!
Rest and Relaxation is very easy to have in this beautiful little cabin. Bunnies, Deer and constant bird song made it such an enjoyable visit. Clean and cleaner was the cabin. Nothing fancy but it’s where we will stay in the future on trips to the area. The front porch was a great hangout and the solitude is close enough to ‘civilization’ if you don’t want to cook in the cabin.
I loved my stay! The cabin was super clean cute, comfy, and cozy. Butterflies flying around daily and pleasant melodies of the birds, scenic view of the mountains was amazing! This allowed me to tap into nature in a whole new way. Thi getaway gave me the rest, relaxation, rejuvenation and peace that I needed. Being a mental health professional this was the ultimate personal self-care retreat. Higly recommend especially if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.
The cabin is cute and clean. The Ring doorbell camera is a bit creepy, but otherwise it was a nice experience.
Very enjoyable staff and nice cozy cabin, I would definitely visit again if in the area. Owners were VERY responsive.
Quiet and relaxing environment. Easy to find and had everything needed for a small getaway. Host was quick with answering any questions asked
Spent a lovely weekend with my husband here. Enjoying a small campfire, boardgames, and overall just escaping from our day-to-day responsibilities! Perfect place to connect and enjoy the natural world around you - would stay again!
A most enjoyable experience!
This little cabin is cute as can be, and I love the location. It’s close enough to all the things to do in Luray, and The Skyline Drive. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again ?
The property is quiet and beautiful. Very clean and has all the amenities needed. Reasonable distance to Shenandoah and Luray. Would definitely recommend!
Great little cabin. This cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend get away. Close to Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. We ate at a great little diner called Rudy's. Owner was kind and made sure we were going to be away from the cabin when he came to mow the grass. We had a wonderful stay.
This property was simple yet gorgeous. The property manager was always very quick to respond. My husband and I loved the peacefulness and the view from the cabin. Its also close to everything yet still out of the way.
