This is our third annual stay at the cabin and we love it. The proximity to Dollywood is the main draw (you are an easy few miles away with no traffic), as well as Gatlinburg. The view of the mountains is beautiful and the surroundings very quiet. Thank you John for being such a diligent host. We'll see you again next year.

Beautiful cabin and property, wonderful view! John, the host, is an excellent communicator and very helpful. We’ve stayed many places in Pigeon Forge, but this cabin and the area are definitely a favorite. We hope to book again soon!

This cabin is amazing! It is exactly as pictured with an incredible Mountain View! The hot tub was the perfect way to end a fun filled day! John was a great host. I would definitely stay here again!

The pictures do not do this place justice. The views are unbelievable. Such a homey feeling cabin. Driveway and the road up was a bit sketchy for a flatland family but we got used to it. John was easy to get ahold of and made sure we had check in info and great directions before we arrived. My 5 year old loved the pool table and hot tub, we enjoyed it every night looking at the views. We cannot recommend this place enough.

What CAN’T I say about this place or its hosts ?!?!?! The cabin was great and the views even better !!! The host are some truly special folks ! We were snowed in (literally) past our original departure date and John reached out to us like family to make sure that we had everything we needed to weather the snow storm. We will definitely be back !

This cabin is amazing! Very clean. We had a blast with the pool table & cozy fireplace. This is probably the best view and privacy available in my opinion. Yet it is only 5 miles to Dollywood, Dollys Stampede, Patriot Park, Old Mill, downtown Pigeon Forge, ect... There’s a great pizza place right down the road. We drove from flat Florida in a full size, loaded down Yukon XL V8 4WD with a cargo extender on the back, 6 full grown adults, 2 dogs, & we made it up the driveway fine. There was plenty of room in the cabin: 2 to a bed-1 King, 2 Queens (1 couch pullout), 2 full bathrooms. We all took fairly quick showers, 1 right after another, saving laundry for after everyone was done & we had no issues with the water well needing to wait to build back up. Plenty of towels, blankets, pillows to use. The host John is super nice and responsive, very thorough with directions. We will definitely stay here again! We were here 6 nights during Thanksgiving week for Smokey Mountain Christmas. The crowds weren’t as crazy as expected, & we retreated to our quiet cabin in minutes. Things got really quiet Sunday after the holiday, we stayed until Monday. While in the cabin we saw a huge black bear (trying to get into the bear-proof garbage cans), 2 white rabbits, birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. It was cold, but only froze 1 night & we weren’t lucky enough to see snow this year. We could hear the Dollywood train whistle faint in the background. Good memories for a lifetime!

Host was great, location was great! Cabin wasn't too high up or too low and had a good view of the mountains in the distance! Close to Dollywood, Gatlinburg and Piegon Forge. Honestly a good location for either of these destinations. It was clean, had just what we needed for 2 nights, and private.

The cabin is beautifully situated on the side of a mountain. It's peaceful and quiet. It was clean and we enjoyed the pool table. The beds were comfortable, the showers were steaming hot with good pressure, and the view from both stories was beautiful. If you have more than one large truck, you will likely struggle with the driveway and single lane road leading up to it. The sharp turn will require a lot of maneuvering.

Nice and peaceful location. View was good but would definitely be great with no leaves on the trees. It is seasonal. The decks were very nice. It would be nice if the lower deck had a gate that could be closed, so furbabies and kids could not go off of it. Hot tub was great! No grill on sight. Kitchen was stocked but there really wasn't any 9x13 pans and some important utensils. We bring a lot of kitchen items from home. Beds were comfortable. The TV in the living room area is extremely small. The bedroom TV's were bigger. The upstairs loft area with chairs needed cleaned. The floors were pretty dirty up there. The upstairs bathroom is pretty small and the toilet had issues flushing at times. The refrigerator was leaking, so we had to keep wiping up the water from it. All and all not a bad place. Just needed a little TLC here and there. Would recommend and would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was spotless, comfortable, and ready for us when we arrived. The views are absolutely breathtaking—you truly can’t beat waking up to that scenery each morning, and the deck is perfect for soaking it all in. The hot tub was sparkling clean and so relaxing, and our kids loved every inch of the cabin, especially the game room.The cabin is in bear country, so be mindful and use the bear-proof trash cans conveniently located near the parking area. During our stay, we even had the wild experience of a bear wandering close by while we were in the hot tub! Thankfully, we were safe and able to step inside quickly, but it was definitely a reminder that this is their natural habitat. Just take normal precautions, stay aware, and you’ll be fine—it’s part of the mountain charm.We were especially grateful to find a pet-friendly cabin this nice, and we hope future guests help keep it that way by treating it with care. The host was responsive, kind, and made the whole process easy. We’d absolutely recommend booking this cabin for a beautiful, memorable getaway!

Great location, views were top notch. Hot tub was clean and communication with the host was perfect. We found the cabin as described in the listing with everything we needed on hand. Really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to next time!

The cabin was nice and in a good location to what we were visiting in town. I thought it was odd that there was no handsoap in the whole house. It may just be me, but I don't travel with hand soap, we had to use our body wash to wash our hands after using the bathroom. I will pay better attention to amenities in the future. The upstairs toilet didn't flush so we couldn't use it, which was inconvenient in the middle of the night, but the owner was very nice about it and I understand that things break or don't work all the time. The hot tub was nice and the view was beautiful. Overall, we had a nice stay.

What a great spot for a great little weekend getaway. The cabin was nestled down a gravel drive, with PLENTY of privacy and an expansive view of the beautiful mountains. The location was perfect to drop into Dollywood and Pigeon Forge, but still feel like you are out in the woods. The cabin was immaculate, well stocked and such a great home base for the weekend activities. Check in was a breeze and the hosts were incredibly communicative, but also let us enjoy our stay without interruption. My pup LOVED the massive windows and basically stared off the porch all day. We’ll definitely be back!

The view is wonderful!! Extremely charming cabin! Very quiet and relaxing. We will be staying there again the next time we are in the area. We highly recommend this cabin!!

The cabin has a great layout, I just wished it was cleaner and managed better. My disappointments and areas of concern were: the couch reeked of urine, pet hair through out, chewed furniture and trim, water stains on vaulted ceiling, cob webs inside and out, non working light fixture on upstairs fan, missing/burnt out bulbs in multiple fixtures. Very low 40w bulb on a bent/worn out dimmer over the eating area (pretty much made it pointless for use in the evening). Showers are dark because of no lighting above and the curtain upstairs was gross. It was too long so a foot or more was on the shower floor underfoot. The pool table was nice and got a lot of use during our stay once we noticed which pool cues were decent enough to use. The arcade display only projected on the bottom half of the screen. Not all was negative, the beds were clean and comfortable and the kitchen was furnished with everything needed to prepare a meal.

Absolutely breathtaking views from the deck and hot tub! Everything was clean and updated. The secluded cabin was even more beautiful than the photos portrayed. It was nice to have the pool table for some extra fun. Check in was easy and John was a great host. Note that it is probably a good idea to have a 4 wheel drive to get up to the cabin. We rode a Harley and did have to park at the bottom of the driveway because of the loose gravel on the drive and parking area.

Our family of four with two teen daughters had a really terrific time at the Bear-rific cabin. The cabin was clean, had a wonderful view, and we enjoyed watching it from the hot tub and while drinking coffee on the deck. John was incredibly responsive and helpful. Thanks for everything!

Our stay at the Cabin was amazing as usual! This was our second stay here and it is beautiful. The view is amazing. The cabin is cozy and clean and well equipped, perfect for a wonderful getaway. Location is perfect for a quiet, peaceful and restful experience but only 10 to 15 minutes or so from the main attractions.

Beautiful views from this cozy cabin! The drive up was well worth the view and privacy of the location. Cabin had all the essentials which made the trip comfortable. Hot tub was clean and relaxing. Very pleased that our dog was welcome, too! Close to town and quick response from the owner. Thanks for a great stay!

Brought our family to the mountains for summer vacation.The cleaning crew did NOT do their job. The house was very dirty. The sheets and towels had stains. Cobwebs were hanging from the doors, lights, and ceiling beams. Table was sticky. We had to clean up dog pee from where other dogs hiked their leg.It rained and the roof leaked in four different places.Fire alarm went off randomly in the night.Bathroom light flickered light a strobe light.If it were clean it wouldnt have been bad at all.

We stayed at John’s mountaintop cabin in June.While there we had a small issue and he was very responsive and helpfulSeeing a small bear right beside the house was fun and exciting. The hot tub was great. And, the view out the front door? Absolutely beautiful!

This is a great property! It has a wonderful view, is conveniently located to all the popular attractions, and is also quiet and secluded. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others!

My wife, Schoodle and me stayed at Bear-riffic View for Memorial Day Weekend and had a great stay. Location was great! Not far from anything. John was great! Made sure everything was good and checked on us. The only problem we had was there was a grill pictured, but it was removed for fire inspection reasons. We are avid grillers. The view is great and I know it’s even better in the fall and winter.

This cabin was beautiful and exactly as described! Lots of steps getting from the driveway to the front door, so just make sure you are not handicapped if you stay here. The views were stunning! Cabin was very clean and accommodating other than not having a grill but we just ordered out instead of grilling.

The road to the house was a little sketchy the first time driving it. But the higher up the Mountain you travel, the prettier the view, and the view was absolutely worth it!! The cabin was perfect for our family! My husband and I really enjoyed the master loft bedroom and my daughter enjoyed her private bedroom on the main floor. The windows were perfect, allowing you to see the mountain views from the majority of inside the home. Thank you so much for your hospitality! We will be returning on future trips!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was comfortable, had great views, and we loved the hot tub. It was also close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

The cabin is gorgeous, roomy and overall perfect. The pictures do not do the view justice. The hosts are very polite and keep you informed on your stay, they made sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend staying here and really can’t wait to again! It was decorated for Christmas and will hold dear memories for our family

The bear-rific cabin was exactly as expected. Mr. John was fantastic with communication. My husband, son, and I wanted a quiet weekend getaway and that’s exactly what we got. Loved that we could bring our dog. The drive up to the cabin is very scenic and steep! The views from basically any spot in the cabin were fantastic. Enjoyed making memories and left behind an ornament for their tree.

Wow...what can I say, this place is FANTASTIC!!! We started my husband's bday trip terrible at a different place altogether and were scrambling the next morning trying to find somewhere to go. I came across this place and sent the owner a message and he was super quick to respond and was just so nice. He worked with us and in less than an hour, we were headed to the cabin. It's absolutely GORGEOUS and on top of that, the view is just incredible!!! Getting to stay here totally turned our entire trip into the best one yet at Pigeon Forge and we've been several times! Super clean, very comfortable bed, nice showers, clean dishes and utensils, everything was in very good working order, comfortable furniture. Check in was super easy, communication was great, and instructions for check out and working everything inside was conveniently located right on the fridge. The hot tub was incredible....we got in both nights we stayed and the view with all the lights in the city and then all the stars was just so pretty. In the mornings, the mountain view was just breathtaking. We will definitely be staying here again!!! Thank you John for such a wonderful experience!!

Nice cabin with a beautiful view. Conveniently located near Dollywood and other attractions. Driveway is a bit narrow and steep, but to be expected to get the lovely view. The cabin was clean. Hot tub was great after a day out and about. There are steps to get from the parking pad and then more up to the home. I would not recommend for anyone who has Issues with carrying luggage and supplies up steps, this wasn’t a problem for us but might be for others. No wifi but great 5g signal that allowed for tethering to my phone.

Beautiful cabin with gorgeous view from the mountain top. I especially loved the tradition of families leaving an ornament on the Christmas tree. The check in and out process was smooth. Everything is labeled for your convenience but John was always available for questions.

We love to visit the Gatlinburg area at least once a year. We just love the scenic views and Dollywood! John and Lisa’s cabin was so much more than we expected! The view from the main window is breathtaking and was our favorite part to enjoy while drinking our coffee in the mornings! The road and driveway you have to drive to get to their cabin is a thrill ride in itself. Being from Louisiana where it’s flat, driving the mountain roads is a highlight for me. This did not disappoint! We hope we can enjoy your cabin again on our next visit! Thank you John for everything!

This cabin is an excellent place to unplug and recharge. The view is wonderful and cabin is great. Our kids enjoyed the pool table and hot tub after a fun day of exploring. Also a great place to be able to bring along our dog. We had a great time.
