Very convenient location for Sugar Bowl. Sleeps seven but common area would be small for winter since the outside deck would not be usable.

We truly enjoyed our time at the cabin.

We had a great stay. Our host-Jim-was extremely responsive. This smaller cabin is very quaint and located in a great location. It’s very easy to get into Truckee for grocery shopping, Sugarbowl is super close and it was very easy to get around. There aren’t really any hiking trails you can walk to, but there are quite a few in short driving distance. The cabin was very clean and the pellet stove plus central heat kept it nice and warm. Plenty of lots to cook with, although if you need to measure liquids you’ll need to bring or buy your own liquid measuring cup (we just used dry measures) and if you want to microwave on a plate or in a bowl, bring your own microwaveable dinnerware. This was a non-issue for us, but just felt I should mention it. The beds were SO comfy and cozy! Two bedrooms downstairs and master upstairs. Hang out upstairs for the comfy cabin feel. Provided towels were great and there was basic body wash and shampoo. To summarize, this was a great sta and we definitely recommend for families.

Very clean, small cabin. Nice host.We opted to bring our own towels to avoid the stress of washing sheets and towels before leaving. (And avoid the 70 charge if we didn't).Roku TV had a hard time working in the living room but host was very responsive and helpful. Although we got it working the first night, we had to repeat the restart process a couple of times on different days. It did not do streaming, but a downstairs TV would.Wish there were some nightlights, especially for the downstairs bathroom which is down a hall from the bedrooms.

Cabin was charming, very clean with comfy beds. My rating went from excellent to good only because the dryer took forever to complete as we were required to wash and dry linens and towels. Other than that, it was a lovely stay.

Cozy cabin near the lake. Loved the views, the deck, the quaint windows, beds were comfy. Very small kitchen with no dishwasher, it was amusing for a short stay but would get tiresome for longer stays.

This place was in a great location on Donner Lake. 2 minute drive to the park nine minute drive to the store. The house was neat and tidy. Will definitely stay again.

Quaint place right next to babbling brook. Everything we wanted!

I am in Truckee every week but wanted to stay for the weekend with my daughter. Communication with the property owner is fantastic. Home is warm and cozy. Gave us the perfect down time and downtown Truckee was about 15 minutes away. Great drive to Mountain Brew coffee at the other end of the lake in the early morning gives all the feels driving by the lake without people. If you want the easy, hide away low key rest weekend this is the place.

Great cabin by the lake, easy access to larger towns. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, beautiful views, short drive to skiing

Our second stay here. We love walking the neighborhood and the lakeside park with Maestro. We have guests stop for dinner on the way in and out of Tahoe, and had great times with a full house. The feeling on the being on the lake beats any random cabin in Tahoe. Feels Very Private! Always happy to get to cabin sooner than fighting more traffic and the same on the way out!HIghly recommended!! 5 stars and Jim Roberts is super nice!

Great property and location. We dropped something into one of the floor vents and had to remove the vent cover. It was very dirty in the vent, perhaps time for a clean. Otherwise allgood.

The cabin was adorable and very comfortable. The pellet stove keeps it nice and warm. Everything was well laid out and explained so the cabin was super user friendly as well. And it's only a 10 min drive to Sugar Bowl! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for that perfect old school ski cabin.

We loved this house. Very cozy, plenty of space, well equipped. Great quiet neighborhood on Donner Lake, and close to lots of outdoor activities and downtown Truckee.

We enjoyed our stay during Christmas week. The cabin is dated, but very comfortable. We found everything we needed in the kitchen.

Loved the cabin, beach, walk to ice cream….a very relaxing weekend! Owner was great to work with!

We loved it. Clean, comfortable, lovely deck in the trees to watch the leaves rustle in the wind and listen to the birds. Close to both beaches at Donner Lake. It had everything we needed except a tea kettle to boil water.

We stayed for a couple of days at Donner and had an amazing time.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at this picturesque home. The setting was incredibly quiet and relaxing, providing the perfect escape from our busy lives. The host was amazing, always quick to respond and extremely accommodating to our needs.
