We had a great stay! Cabin was amazing quiet and private. Only small issue we had was the bathroom jacuzzi jets didn’t work not a big deal for us but may be for someone. We will definitely be back!
Very nice spot. Cabin has everything you need. No issues with the road (we had a 2wd). The only thing that that could be improved is the amount of drinking water left in the property. We ran out on the last day. Not a huge deal as we had our own backup. Would stay here again for sure.
Nice, private location. Close to Natural Bridge and Underground. Quiet and peaceful
Perfect cabin for our weekend get-a-way. Quiet with picturesque views. Nice amenities, and the hot tub was awesome. Easy check-in and out process. Be prepared for some steep roads.
Everything about the cabin was as advertised, very pleasant. The road to the property and property drive-way itself was the biggest issue. Unpaved, rutty, basically one-lane, very steep in places, and overall not very pleasant to travel on. We left in the morning to hike and didn’t return until we were finished for the day to limit our number of trips. Would not advise without 4-wheel drive. Luckily we were there when it hadn’t rained very much and didn’t have to deal with mud.
The cabin was beautiful and the scenery was secluded and peaceful!
Cabin was very comfortable and quaint. It was well equipped with so many amenities. Felt like a home away from home. Very much appreciated. Fireplaces, hot tub, and jacuzzi tub were all wonderful. Beds and linens were top notch ! Will definitely be returning!
My husband and I went for a long weekend. The check-in was simple and fast, and the cabin was easy to find. The gravel road is very steep in places, so they’re not kidding when they say 4WD would be necessary if there’s any snow. It’s a cute and cozy cabin. The beds are SO comfy. The hot tub was wonderful, but tricky to get into the right setting. We finally figured it out after a few google searches, but it’s old and directions were hard to find. Would have been helpful to have the instructions somewhere in the cabin. WiFi was great. No problems there. The steps to get downstairs are very steep, so keep that in mind. Kinda scary even if you’re sober, but anyone who’s had a few drinks would need to be extra careful and hold onto the railing. We did have to call maintenance because smoke was pouring out of the vents on the stove. The guy got there in about an hour 1/2, so that was good. We did have to make our breakfast casseroles on the grill though, so that was a small inconvenience. Be sure to bring your own charcoal. The negative: Mouse poop everywhere, especially in the drawers, including the silverware drawer. We had to wash everything before using it. Didn’t look like it had been cleaned well before we came, because it was a lot. The floors were dirty too. The playing surface of the pool table isn’t great, but it’s usable. Neighbors are closer than we expected. Would we stay there again? Absolutely. The good definitely outweighed the bad!
Love this cabin. It was perfect for our Red River Gorge winter weekend. Evening was just as described in the listing. There were other cabins above and below us but we never heard a sound from either. It was so peaceful. I would definitely stay here again. The cabin was just a few minutes from RRG and Natural Bridge
We had a great trip. We stay near Red Rock often! This is a great location! We had a blast. Can’t wait to come back in the summer. Very clean and comfortable!
Everything was great
My family of 5 stayed here for a long weekend and it wasn’t long enough! So cozy, convenient, and just what we needed. The location to hiking locations in RRG was ideal while still being remote and removed enough from other people. The entire stay was worth every penny, our kids loved the hot tub, playing pool, and getting so much use out of the checkers board on the coffee table. The only thing I’d be cautious of is what kind of vehicle you drive, because the road to the cabin is all gravel and has some steep parts. Our van made it just fine but I could see smaller cars having an issue. All in all it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back!
The Roost was awesome! We had a wonderful girls' trip. The cabin is secluded and quiet. The deck was awesome to enjoy nature and relax with a cup of coffee. The beds were very comfortable. Amazing area with plenty to do. We will definitely be back!
Property was just what we expected. Looking for a place to cool down after day hikes, relax, and sleep well. It accomplished all of those. Beds were comfortable, plenty of space for a family of 4, deck and hot tub were great. Floors do squeak, so if you’re in the lower bedrooms you may be woken up by an early riser. All in all a great stay and recommend. Directions to the cabin were easy, just stick to the gravel drive and use a low gear.
Location was great, beds were excellent, overall the cabin needed a good cleaning and some repairs. The upstairs bathroom shower was lacking hot water. It was a lot more rustic than the ad stated.
Our biggest problem with this cabin was that nowhere in the description does it say “you will need a 4x4 vehicle to reach this cabin”. We drove a subcompact sedan due to high gas prices and a multi hour trip. Upon arrival to the cabin we realized there was no way our vehicle could reach the cabin consistently. The cabin is located 1+ mile off the main road, on a gravel path that is extremely hilly, sharp turns, etc. Our vehicle could not handle the terrain in 80 degree sunny weather, not even inclement weather. Had this been explained to us beforehand, we would’ve rented a suitable vehicle. When we called and explained the situation, the best they could do for us was have us park a half mile away and walk to/from the cabin, which one night we had to do in a thunderstorm. It’s also worth noting that the address on the listing is not even the accurate address, they give you a sheet at check in that gives you directions. The check in process was very unclear, it gave the addresss but didn’t say where in the building (which has multiple businesses in it) is the actual check in. The actual cabin is very nice. The best part by far is the view, deck, and the hot tub. There was a dirty wet wash cloth left in the master bedroom when we arrived. That was weird. There are multiple broken tiles in the master bath that pop up, could totally cut your toe. They only gave us 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 women for the entire weekend. The check out rules are OUTRAGEOUS and you’re required to essentially clean the whole cabin for them or you get charged an extra cleaning fee. We had to take out all the trash, strip all the beds, wash, dry and put away all the dishes, turn up the thermostat, and more. We were very clean, this was a lowkey weekend, but the checkout cleaning was just excessive—and my family has owned & managed vacation rentals before and even I thought it was too much. Overall the cabin itself was nice but I would not stay with this hosting company again.
We had a good weekend here. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. The porches could use some upkeep and the downstairs stayed cold compared to the upstairs but there was a couple of heaters down there. It wasn’t a problem for us. The pool table and hot tub were great!
It was just what we needed for a Spring trip. The house was perfect and had everything we needed or wanted
