About the Green Lake Area:
Green Lake, also known as Big Green Lake by the locals, is the deepest natural inland lake in Wisconsin with a max depth of 236 feet. The lake is over 7,900 acres and has over 27 miles of shoreline with bays, coves, points and peninsulas to explore. During the summer, activities such as boating, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, swimming, sailing, jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and fishing are popular with our guests. Fish species include Panfish, Large mouth Bass, Small mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout, Walleye and Catfish. The Green Lake Sailing School offers sailing lessons to all age groups during the summer, and there are frequent regattas for different boat classes. The water stays clean and clear year round unlike a lot of lakes in the region.
There are several places to eat right on the lake- You can take your boat over to each of them or a short ride in the car and you're there. Gas for your boat can be purchased on the lake at several Marinas and there is a boat landing about a 1/2 mile away from the house.
When you are not on the water the Green Lake area offers an extensive network of bike trails and routes available, including "Loop the Lake," a 24 mile trail which circumnavigates the perimeter of the lake. The Green Lake Conservancy and Green Lake Sanitary district maintain properties that offer public hiking trails at various locations. Green Lake has several golf courses around it, including Tuscumbia Country Club, the oldest course in the state.
To ensure you and your family's safety, we have enhanced our cleaning guidelines and standards accordingly to the CDC Covid-19 recommendations

Place was not clean when arrived. Also said pets were allowed but then denied. On site manager said that didn’t make any sense??? Cat and human hair everywhere The positive is setting and remodel is great. Great for large family gathering. The lake is always awesome
Waters Edge was the perfect summer getaway for our group of family and friends! The house is beautifully renovated and the photos don't do it justice. The shallow, sandy bottom was great for swimming and there are plenty of adirondack chairs to take in the gorgeous view as well as a giant lakefront fire pit. We loved playing games in the screened porch! The location is perfect, close to Soda's Farm Market, Reilly's Pub, and quaint neighboring towns. Thanks again for an awesome stay and can't wait to return next summer!
Property has issues with broken towel bars
Family yearly vacation was great! The house is beautiful, and the manager responded to our questions quickly. I would only remind others to read what they provide more carefully than we did. There are no towels or washcloths provided except for the kitchen.
This is a very nice, recently renovated home with plenty of space for the family to spread out, between indoors and the level yard facing the lake. The water immediately out front the home is very shallow to the end of the probably 200 feet long pier and generally sandy bottom though there was expected seaweed throughout for our stay at the end of June. Nice location about 10 min drive from Lawsonia and 15 min drive from downtown Green Lake.
It’s a beautiful home and a great location. Perfect for a group of friends or family. We spent a lot of time in the porch area and had all of our meals there! The only thing that would have been nice to have are kitchen essentials like salt, pepper, and more paper towel/garbage bags especially for being a larger group, etc. but those are easy things to buy when you’re there.
Amazing home! Would definitely stay again. So many combinations of family and friends can stay here comfortably. We had two families of four and there were still unused beds. Three solid bedrooms with a fourth for kids and four extra bunks. Ping pong table, lots of TVs. Wonderful recent remodel - greats showers and beds. Guest house add-on available- but we didn’t use it. Screened in porch was great, constantly used. Fire pit with chairs. Responsive hosts. Very clean. Zero depth lake Frontage for 200 feet, and a sandy bottom. Decent amount of algae (our trip was in late august) but not too bad and we could 100% enjoy the water. Bring floats! They rake the algae weekly. Well stocked pots and pans and utensils (but don’t forget to bring beach towels, toilet paper and paper towels). We rented the boat which was amazing for dinner cruises, going to restaurants (Norton’s and Murphy’s) on the lake, and sunset cruises. Bike trail “Loop the Lake” is Incredible for any cyclist (25 miles long with amazing views). Nearby golfing at Lawsonia highly recommended (10 min drive). Just a great vacation all around. As advertised. Very special place!
Water's Edge is such a lovely home and perfect for a family vacation. We so enjoyed the boat, dock, flat lawn, fire pit, screened porch, beautiful kitchen and comfy family room. We couldn't get over how creative the architect was in fitting beds in so many creative places! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well appointed house. Wish we had known about the algae issue. We were glad that we could go to Dodge Park where the grandchildren could swim with little algae. The property manager was fabulous, replacing burned pans, scooping up dead fish, making us feel well care for.
Highly recommended. My wife was happy w/ the kitchen supplies and all the amenities to make our vacation care-free. You should put the screens in the main bd and living room though
Great time!
