With this unique positioning, you can boat to either lake for a different daily experience. Spend your days on the sandbar on Sebago! Fish, swim, and kayak to your heart's desire, right from your front door. Much more private than lakeside you'll have your own, private grounds giving you the campground feeling with a sandy beach for your family's enjoyment. Play volleyball or badminton, or simply put your tube in the water on one side of the property and float around the peninsula to the other. Your own natural lazy river! (our favorite pastime!) Enjoy your nights around the campfire, under the stars.
Visit the Naples Causeway when you're looking for some excitement. Take the Songo River Queen, rent jet skis or people watch to your heart's desire. SeaCoast Funpark is a short drive away.

Rustic and updated cottage. During our visit the water level for the river was pretty low. It would seem to be quite a challenge to get a boat into one of the lakes via the river. During our six day stay, I saw one motorized boat on the river. If you are looking for relatively easy lake Access this is not the best property. The river was very peaceful and great for kayaking. The location is convenient to restaurants and Sebago/Long Lakes. The bathroom situation is a little odd in the house. There is a half bath upstairs between two bedrooms. This bathroom is literally half of a bathroom. The ceiling slants dramatically from the door to the sink at a 45 angle. Every time I used the bathroom, I felt like I was in an airplane lavatory. The full bathroom on the first floor requires one to enter through a bedroom to access. Overall, a positive experience, but I felt a little misled with the description of the lake access.

We had such a wonderful time it's hard where to start. We traveled here with our 2 granddaughters and 2 of their friends. They all had a great time tubing and fishing and swimming in the river and in the lake. We brought our bass boat and used the boat ramp at the park to launch it.( free for military btw). The kids played board games and cards every night and made smores by the fire. A very peaceful location for sure. We saw deer here, a very friendly chipmunk, and cool turtles too.We were sad it was time to head back to reality

The property and location are fantastic, with river access on both sides of the house. Crooked River is a slower and quieter pace than Sebago Lake, which we enjoyed very much. Proximity to Sebago Lake State Park is also a plus. Be aware that the 3rd bedroom actually contains a sofabed and washer/dryer, and access to the only full bathroom is quite difficult unless in sofa position.

This property was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for! The inside was described exactly as the listing and so much more. Having 2 bathrooms was convenient for a group of 4 and did I mention the outdoor shower my favorite with plenty of hot water. Plenty of seating indoors and out with a cafe table on a covered porch. If floating on the river isn’t your thing, Sebago Lake State park is just a short drive away(Beautiful beach, bathrooms, picnic tables etc.) This beach allows floats a bonus. We had a couple of minor issues (our fault) but Clayton returned call immediately and problem was solved! Would I recommend this property absolutely

The cottage was in a nice quiet and secluded area. Unfortunately, we were probably there during the hottest days/nights of the summer and the upstairs had no A/C but there were plenty of fans though. Need to change the bed description for third room. Was expecting an actual bed but it was a pull out sofa.

Poor experience:Couldn’t get door to lockWasher didn’t workOutside shower didn’t workNo a/c upstairs, super hot. Box fans ineffective. Tried to use the pullouts downstairs, but the one in the living room had an unusable mattress on it and the floor underneath was filthy. No railing on part of the stairs to the ‘attic’ bedrooms.‘Docks’ unsafe, One side you have to ‘walk a plank’ literally or walk through mud.

The house was right on the river, and it was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was adequately stocked, and the house was a charming cottage. It is small. The third 'bedroom' has no bed, but a couch in a tiny room. A single bed would have been much better. Not to mention, that the only full bathroom with a shower requires you to go through that room. Also, no A/C upstairs, wish it had A/C in bedrooms. During the day, the wood walls upstairs tend to hold heat in, but after sunset in the summer putting fans in the windows and an industrial fan on high helps with the heat. Cute cottage, family loved it.

Crooked Cottage is adorable and rustic. The home was clean, with most of the necessities. i loved having a washer/dryer and a grill. No AC in the upstairs bedrooms but we ended up with cool July weather so it wasn't missed. Easy shopping nearby. The property is great, plenty of space and alot of river frontage. We enjoyed our week in Maine.

Place was great. Plenty of room for our family and a unique spot that spans the peninsula so you can float from side to side. Short trip to Sebago State Park or all the fun in Naples.

This is a great property! It is private and quiet yet you can be in downtown Naples in a few minutes. Very clean with lots of natural light. Plenty of room inside when it is raining but also lots of space outside when it is nice out…and the river passes on both sides of the property because it is on a bit of a peninsula! Also, some older reviews mentioned issues with high mineral content in the water…the house has a filter now and no issues at all with my sensitive skin!

This is a quiet and well kept property. Plenty of room to find a quiet space to relax by the river. A private dock to launch a kayak, swim or tube. The view was great . All amenities for outdoor activities were setup like Volleyball and badminton. Also a nice fire pit with plenty of outdoor seating. Get your own wood . Tiki torches were set up but you have to bring your own fuel also. We brought our own kayak. The kitchen was equipped with all pans and utensils to cook and a great big grill with propane. Not many food items left over to fill in. Salt, pepper ketchup etc . All kinds of cups and plates . Many Towels, blankets and linens as extras and they smelled so clean ! Washer and dryer on site. I have no complaints. The directions were a bit hard. It’s down a long common dirt road which was awesome but our GPS could not locate it . Lastly the water in the home is high in iron which was noted in the home log book. So Bring your own drinking water And don’t buy coffee pods. They have a regular coffee pot but plenty of filters I truly enjoyed my stay and will return Thank you Angie

Great secluded location, as though you are camping. - Ample towels, kitchen supplies etc. - comfortable bedding The lazy river is probably a 10-15 minute float, which is a good amount of time.

We had the most magical time at the crooked river cottage. We dropped our boat in the Sebago Lake park boat launch and drove it down the river to the cottage and left it on the dock. It was about a 20 minute ride down the river and the kids loved it. The next day we took the boat to the sand bar at sebago and to captain jacks for lunch. The cottage was clean, sweet, and so much fun. We can’t wait to plan our next visit!

Thank you so much for offering a peaceful escape hatch to our family! While college touring in Maine, we decided to give ourselves a rest. The “Crooked Cottage” appears like an oasis as you drive through the trees down the dirt road. Once you park, you begin breathing easier and are charmed by the lake on both sides of the home. All modern amenities greet you including air conditioning, a washer and dryer and internet access. However, being here feels like a pitstop in Narnia. The 5 of us all had space, and enjoyed badminton, reading outside and the fire pit. There’s an Umbrella Shopping Center with everything you need 5 minutes down the road. I highly recommend this clean, safe and peace-giving property!

We had a multi generational family stay at Angie's house, ranging in ages from 1-70. The set up of the house was perfect for all of us and accessible for my mother. Everyone was comfortable and happy. The lazy river was so fun, relaxing and beautiful. One thing to note is that the water is heavy on minerals, so we'd recommend bringing jugs of water for cooking and brushing teeth, but that was easy for us to pick up. We will be back for sure!

We loved the home. It has a wonderful addition upstairs. Comfortably, firm beds and box fans for the rooms. Downstairs is an A/C unit that works very well. The grounds are nice with a big fire pit and plenty of seating, the river for swimming and a volleyball meet for a quick game. We loved most everything about the rental. Our only issue was the water has a lot of iron in it. For people with skin sensitivity this can be and issue. I did contact the host and was informed there is a filter system that has had a water check that passed. But for me I still had sensitivity to it. Again other than this the place is great!

Highly recommend this property! Great place to rent. Few houses in area have AC, so that was a great amenity as our family’s first day was quite warm, The place is clean and well kept. Loved the yard! 2 docks on Crooked River, and fishing was good as well. We plan on coming back soon!

Great quiet spot to kickback and relax. Perfect for what we were looking for. River access to the lake (about 50 min in the kayak) but the lake is a driving distance away, which is the only drawback having to load up little kids. The beds were a little firm is my only complaint. We had a blast and the kids lived in the river. Thanks for wonderful memories!
