Badjeros, Ontario
Experience nature just 120 km from Toronto. This waterfront cozy cabin is located a 20 min drive from Collingwood and Wasaga Beach and is the perfect place for the rest and fishing. It has two single beds and one sofa bed, a fridge, wooden stove for a heating, A/C, TV with DVD and small cooking stove in a room.
There is a bankie house for 2 additional guests close to the cabin (for an additional cost). It has one double size bed.
There is a private gazebo, propane BBQ, and a fire pit for the guests.
Composting toilet and a shower with running water straight from the lake are outside at the back of the cabin.
Enjoy a variety of activities: fishing (lots of trout), canoe, pontoon (included in the price).
We offer a wooden waterfront sauna for an additional cost.
The cabin is very basic, no hot running water, water is from a tank above the cabin, two single beds, kitchen is not equipped what you need, plastic glasses, toilet is outside with a handel and motor to suck the waste away, nice view on the lake but a constant barking owners dog.
This is a more akin to camping. The actual cabin is comfortable, the beds were fine and the small kitchen has everything you need to make a meal. Full size fridge actually two of them. The BBQ was slow but did cook the meat. The propane stove was fast and easy to operate. All the water is from the lake so you must bring water with you. The bathroom is where things change. The toilet is outside in a different hut. It is a compost toilet, smells bad and not that enjoyable to use. The area is full of spiders, webs and dust. It needs a good vac and clean. the shower is outside back behind the sleeping cabin. It is pond water and trickles out. Not a great option for a shower. Some of the other guests jumped in the pond. Not my thing so no washes. The best part is the setting, there are canoes and a small boat to use to fish if you want. The fishing didn't work for me but other guests did catch some. the property is large and we walked around the pond and explored some other areas of tree plantings. Have a fire if you go that was nice and it was cool that night so recommended The wood cost 20 for a large bin full. We sat outside till late by the fire. There is a DVD player so either bring some or they provide a box of mixed titles. I did take some lovely pictures. There are no real towns close to visit. We did drive to Collingwood and looked around. This place is suited to the camping loving client who doesnt mind outdoor toilets and a next to nothing shower. The setting is lovely and the visit is what you make of it as always.
This is a cozy place to relax and get away from the city for a few days.
If you want a private and beautiful get away. This is your place
