Waterfront cottage with hot tub, & fire pit. Pet friendly.

Check in was super easy and the hosts were very thorough with explaining the process. The property itself is beautiful, well maintained and gorgeous views. We saw a ton of different wildlife and enjoyed seeing the local area. The hot tub was very relaxing and the cabin layout was simple and easy. We had a really great time and plan on staying again!

We had a lovely stay at Trout Run Cottage. Sitting outside listening to the creek was blissful. The hot tub was great too. Meal making was easy as the kitchen had all the appliances you might need. Very quiet and peaceful. The host were super friendly! Looking forward to our next visit. PS: lots of places to visit in the area. Try out the cinnamon rolls at the bakery just a walk up the road. Delicious. Highly recommend Trout Run Cottage.

We had an amazing time at the Trout Run cabin as a family. Our boys loved the hot tub and wading in the creek. The multiple tv’s in the rooms was very much appreciated as well for the downtimes of being inside. Having the availability of using our own streaming services is ideal. The check in and out process was stress free and we simply couldn’t have had a better stay. This has always been our most relaxing vacation and we will definitely be back!

This place is amazing! Thank you so very much to Margaret for being an amazing host and sharing this lovely cottage with us. She had everything ready for our arrival the heat was on so it was warm and cozy when we got there, and she also had it ready earlier than our check in time and offered an earlier arrival, just wish we could’ve made it. My husband and I live about an hour away and just needed a relaxing weekend getaway and this place did not disappoint. The only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. This lovely cottage is now at the top of our list of places to stay. We loved everything about it. So many things we loved. Loved being so close to the stream, the jacuzzi, the FULLY stocked kitchen, the complementary bottle of wine, the fireplace, and that we were able to use it, very neat and clean, the list goes on. Even though we don’t have a dog at the moment we hope in the future that they are able to remain pet friendly. We will be returning.

It was a great getaway and so relaxing. Our host was great with answering any questions we had and provided a great place to stay. Being by the creek was great to listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy its atmosphere whether it was a campfire or enjoying the hot tub on the porch. Thanks again.

The cottage was spotless, in a perfect location, and check-in was super easy. Margaret was a fantastic host—her communication was fast and helpful every step of the way. The beds were very comfortable, and the cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.We especially loved the screened-in porch, the fire pit, and listening to the stream and sounds of nature. It was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we needed to unwind. We’re already looking forward to coming back! We rate it 10 out of 10!

Cottage is adorable and clean. Great location right on the creek, jacuzzi is a plus and very quiet and relaxing.

This is a lovely cottage with many amenities tucked in along Penns Creek. The drive there is worth the trip with all the country settings and vistas. My favorite part is the screened in porch above the creek. We have stayed here before and will be going back again in the future.

Can't really add much to the other positive reviews for this cottage. It is outstanding in every regard. Clean, well-appointed and well-stocked. Location is amazing if you're looking for seclusion. A 10 out of 10!

Margaret was amazing! Super responsive and kind. Cottage was cozy, loved the screened in porch for the toddler to be freely contained! Hot tub was a bonus everyone enjoyed. Thankful for all the spices in the cabinet, and the plentiful towels available. Will be probably returning next year!

I could live there. The screened in porch was where I spent most of my time watching the creek flow by. The geese visited every day, also a young racoon, bunny, a mink, two fawn made appearances and a turtle strolled lazily by one afternoon on his way back to the creek. The cottage was stocked above and beyond what I expected. Were there things not to MY liking, of course, we all see things differently, but nothing that would deter me from returning. We had our dogs with us and they were comfortable and welcome. Our Thanks to our Hosts.

We had a GREAT weekend!!!!!!!!!The place was immaculate, with so many supplies. Most peaceful place we have ever been to. Loved the hot tub, fire pit, kitchen and the ability to come with our 2 little dogs.

We had such a relaxing and peaceful weekend at Penn’s Creek. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We loved that you could see the creek from the living room and hot tub. The owner was very communicative. We highly recommend!

This is the second time we have stayed at this cabin, the first time with the new owners. We absolutely love it there. The little peninsula on the river is our favorite rental and it's conveniently close to my father in laws fishing camp.

Great stay! Very tranquil sounds of nature and the creek. The home was clean and as described in the listing. The hot tub felt great and provided privacy. There are lots of cool places to visit nearby and recommend the Rusty Rail, which is nearby to the cottage. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in the country, this is it!

3rd time staying at Trout Run and first time under new ownership. Please was clean and tidy, location can't be beat. Awesome place to relax and unwind while watching the creek from the couch or firepit.

This cottage sits alongside Penns Creek. The views are amazing, the sounds of the creek are calming. The cottage itself is relaxing and has all the amenities you would need a short or a long stay. The host is very accommodating and available at all times. We can’t wait to come stay again and highly recommend it to anybody looking for someplace to stay in the area.

This properties location is just beautiful! Right on Penns river and so peaceful and quiet. The home has everything you could need. We will be back in the summer!

Very nice very clean very relaxing will come back again

Don't be fooled by the the front of this cabin. The inside was clean, cozy and well maintained. It was ready for us to relax the weekend away. There is a beautiful view of the river and we enjoyed the hot tub on the covered back porch. The kitchen was fully stocked with all our cooking needs...we just had to bring the food. We loved the area as well. Be prepared to drive a little to see things ...but we loved all the scenic roads on the way to and from our destinations. We stayed in February and had an ice/snow shower the night before we left. We were pleasantly suprised that a plow got to the road before we had to check out. We would stay again for sure.

We could not have picked a better place for a few days away as a couple with two dogs. All the amenities, at an amazing location. Our goal was to spend most of our time relaxing at the cottage and this place was perfectly suited for that. It would also be perfect to bring our young daughter with us. The owner has thought of everything and is very generous in their amenities. Highly recommend!

We recently stayed at this adorable cottage while in Mifflinburg for my cousin's wedding. It was perfect for us, just a half mile away from the wedding venue. The location was just beautiful by the river and we thoroughly enjoyed soaking in the hot tub. Everything was clean and there were neatly printed directions to help us with the coffee pot, trash pickup, hot tub, check out, etc. Communication between us and the host was excellent. Mary always got back to me immediately if I had any questions. My mother accidentally left something behind and she was kind enough to mail it back to her right away. A wonderful cottage with wonderful hosts. We would definitely return again.

Third time stay at this older home on Penn’s Creek. Clean, comfortable, and met our needs for the week. I cooked and took to read in the evening. We spent the days fly fishing and I had time to some to do some watercolor painting. We used the hot tub to work out the kinks after a day of fishing and relaxed with the fire place, only missed the smell of real wood. The communication was excellent

Perfect place for a relaxing vacation! Between the fire pit and screened in porch we spent all our time outside enjoying the view!! It’s is the perfect place for day trips to Hershey Park and the Little League World Series!! We also went to Pennsylvania Creek Pottery just down the road and found some beautiful pottery to bring home! I would give 10 stars!!
