We loved the lake. The home was charming. On the flip side, the rental is small, and the location is crowded. We understand that Lake Sebago is hugely popular and draws a lot of visitors, so crowding is to be expected, but in this case the owners and extended family surround the property. Between the security cameras, watchful eyes, and property rules, I feel it my duty to realistically prepare future visitors to the reality of the site. This place will be splendid for visitors with small children looking for quiet nights, or older families looking to take in the tranquility. However, if you want to have people over(in our case extended family we traveled all the way to Maine to see), play some loud music, or low key party - be prepared for it to be awkward. Also, while I’m not a smoker, tobacco (vape pens included) are not permissible to be smoked outside on the rental property. A hefty fine per incident will be enforced. The owner is reasonable, but no smoking outside means you will have to police any guests you have over. Inquire about all of the property rules before renting this property. I wanted to love it, but we left disappointed, and spent a lot of money to feel that way.

We loved the house and being able to walk out your front door 30 feet to jump in the best lake water you will ever swim in was incredible. Jan and Jim were on hand if you had any questions and were very welcoming. Jim told us about an island with an Eagles nest nearby and we rented one of the tandem kayaks and rowed out a short distance to have three Eagles soaring above our head. Nearby, is Naples that is a little town with plenty of water sports and restaurants. Recommend Rick’s, the Galley and Freedom Cafe. The Galley had the best Lobster rolls of all. If you want a vacation to swim, grill, kayak, sit by a fire and just relax, we could not recommend this location more.

This was the perfect fall getaway for our anniversary! The house was perfect on Saturday when the weather was nice and sunny, with a little breeze. We laid outside on the lounge chairs, read, and took in the serene lake and beautiful foliage. We took a drive into Bridgton for dinner Saturday night, then made a fire outside the cabin and sat under the stars. It rained all day Sunday, which was actually the perfect excuse to sit inside the immaculate cabin, watch television, read, and listen to the sound of the rain on the rooftop. The owners pulled out all the stops, and even had fresh baked cookies upon our arrival. The house was clean and fully stocked, and we hope to come back next year and take advantage of some of the many hiking trails we passed on our drive. We couldn't be more happy with our decision to book this cabin, and would strongly encourage any couple or small family to do the same.

This was our first family vacation and it was amazing. You couldn't ask for a better location for anyone but especially for small children. Nice sandy beach right out your front door. The kids loved the dock. They swam for hours and hours in the clean lake! The house was perfect. Just the right size for our family. The house had way more than I expected, so we were pleasantly surprised. We are planning a stay for next year too!

What a perfect way to celebrate July 4th! A week of swimming in the crystal-clear, sandy-bottom lake just steps from the house, playing with the kids on the beach (which remains in full sun throughout the day while also offering nice shaded areas for those who don't want the exposure), relaxing around the fire pit, cooking on the grill, and then collapsing on clean sheets in comfortable beds at day's end. We had a wonderful stay here and would happily return. Thanks, Jan and Jim!

What a wonderful Memorial Weekend visit!! Cottage was well appointed with all of the necessities ( I overpacked). Lake view was amazing, rooms and entire cottage was very clean, atmosphere was cozy and Jan and Jim are wonderful hosts. Truly could not have asked for a better mini-vacation. Will definately return for future visits!! One note for future renters, if your a fisherman (or woman) there are brooks nearby where you may have better luck than off of the dock.

What a wonderful place to escape for a bit! Location is secluded, yet close to all the Sebago community has to offer. The cabin itself has virtually everything you need to feel at home away from home. Everything we could have wanted in the kitchen, (and we cooked and grilled a lot), beds, closets, sitting areas, bathroom, linens, board games, a library of books to read, deck/beach furniture, fire pit, even a big paddle boat to get out on the lake all seemed brand new just for us. The view from the wall of windows facing the lake and your private beach and boat dock are, as they say, to die for. Truly a momentary paradise to relax over your morning coffee, plan the day and head out to the White Mountains one way, the Shore the other, or just lay back all day and count the boats as they go by. Maine is a long way from home and this was our first visit, but we plan to come back annually now, and this cabin will be Home Plate without a doubt.

Our week in this house was fantastic! We have spent a lot of time on Sebago Lake, but this location is easily the best. The house itself is wonderfully appointed, from the indoor decor and furnishings to the outdoor accessories. The view is spectacular from inside the house and only gets better when you step outside onto the private beach - well, the private beach you have to share with the ducks that come up and sun themselves daily right next to your chair! We launched our kayaks right from the beach and were able to explore a lot of the nooks and crannies of the lake. Booking and working with the owners was an easy process and their personal touches made us feel welcome, especially the homemade cookies. If you've never been to Sebago or are looking for a new spot on the lake, we highly recommend this place.
