Watauga Lakeside Cabin - Decks, Ponds, Family & Pet Friendly Privacy

THIS CABIN IS BEAUTIFUL-The views are awesome- from every room. It's clean, modern, and as previous reviews have stated-- once you are in the cabin- you won't want to leave.

The house is very comfortable, well-maintained, and clean. It's everything you'd expect and much more. The only thing that might not be up to par with the price paid and the rest of what we found in the house was the insufficient number of towels for guests. We were a group of 10 and only had 8 towels for 5 days. It doesn't make sense to put so much effort into making guests feel comfortable only to have a lack of towels prevent us from saying our stay was truly enjoyable because we had to share towels in the middle of winter.

Our stay was wonderful, we had a lot of fun everywhere we went to specially at the local wineries. I’d only recommend to have some sort of adult entertainment areas like a foosball or pool table other than that everything else was amazing.

The pictures don’t do this cabin justice. It was beautiful and cozy. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for cooking, making a fire in the fire pit and keeping warm. The owners responded quickly and put a big lighted Christmas tree up for us and the kids.

Great place to stay! Especially for us because we attended a wedding event at Sugar Hollow Retreat which is only 8 minutes away. Rarely did we see vehicles driving by, which added to the coziness of the cabin-in-the-woods-like vibes. The road into the house has a very remote little-used feel to it, but easy to navigate if you drive slowly, and actually quite fun to drive! We did have cell phone service at the house, mostly 4gLTE sometimes 5g. I was also very pleased to not see one 5000k LED light bulb anywhere, all lights were an appropriate color temperature that enhanced the warm feel of the space.

We stayed at this beautiful cabin in for my brother-in-law’s wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The place was peaceful and offered stunning views of the mountains. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some quiet time between wedding events. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

This was our second summer staying at the cabin and again we had a great time. There was a minor issue with the upstairs A/C unit not working. We let our host know and he quickly had a temp unit sent out and set up until the unit could be fixed. We have no complaints and had a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend a stay here and I’m sure we will be back again.

Host communicates well. Property is perfect for three sets of couples, plus a few kids and pets. Clean and comfortable. Very private lake access. Our second time here and plan to come back again!

Great property for our multi-family trip. Our kids loved the decks, and the kitchen was very well appointed. The roads were a little tricky to navigate at night but no problem at all during the day! Dave was super accommodating and had great communication. Super clean, and comfy beds.

We stayed here to attend a family wedding in the area. The home was well equipped, beautiful area and decor. 10/10 would stay here again.

Had an awesome time! The cabin was super cozy, clean, and just as pictured. The location was peaceful and perfect for unplugging. The host was easy to work with and everything went smoothly. I’d definitely recommend it!

We attended graduation at nearby ETSU. This cabin is perfect to privacy and relaxation. We had a big family dinner after the graduation. Saturday morn we took a scroll around the area and admired the beautiful view. Took the kayak out for a ride on the lake. We spend the day playing games, relaxing at the firepit with bottomless margaritas. At one point I had to text the owner with a question and he responded almost immediately. Great customer service! We loved everything about this cabin and location. We are planning a winter trip back to this cabin.

It is located far from most places. The driveway is tricky to maneuver but a nice place to stay.

This property is like staying in a treehouse but with all the modern amenities. There is plenty of space to spread out and relax. The changing views from the back deck are beautiful. We saw lots of deer. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare delicious meals.

My family and I stayed here for a father's day gift. We had a great time being able to just be us for a weekend, and not have to worry about the outside world. Our stay was very relaxing. The beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean.

Absolutely beautiful peaceful place, outstanding views in every direction. Unfortunately water level was low on the lake so no access to launch boat on private dock, but found alternative location 20 minutes away. House is stunning inside and out. Loved the privacy and wrap around deck, which is where we spent most of our time. Only minor complaint is the cleaning service missed cleaning the main level shower and the very steep drive way was challenging, but became easier after a few days. We Would Definitely stay AGAIN!!!

What more can you say about this cabin and location? PERFECT! Everything you could want in a relaxing getaway!

Wonderful stay. Everything was as promised. The home is beautiful. It is located very much off the traffic.

Our group all agreed we loved this place! It was a short walk to the boat dock and ramp. We spent most of our day kayaking, paddle, boarding and just floating in the secluded bay. It was so nice not to worry about boat traffic. The house itself was beautiful and had a well stocked kitchen, it had every utensil we needed. The master bedroom’s mattress was a dream. The decks were absolutely incredible and we spent most of our time outside, enjoying the view. We brought our own kayaks but there were several available for use. This home was secluded, quiet and felt like you were hidden in a treehouse among the tall trees. We loved everything about our stay! Thanks Dave!
