What a beautiful cabin from the beautiful and warm decor to the amazing views!! This is cabin had it all! We stayed here as family of 6, we had the best time. It actually snowed one of the days and made the experience even more magical. Thank you for the beautiful memories to our host.

We traveled from Oklahoma to celebrate Thanksgiving with our daughter and her family that live in LA. The house was very clean, organized and decorated for Christmas which was such a fun surprise! We cooked the entire traditional meal and all we needed were the groceries…seriously, well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms were very comfortable and clean with TVs and internet. 3 bathrooms which was great. It is very close the the Big Bear Zoo which was great fun. Lots of great restaurants in town which is not too far. We are not skiers, but I can imagine that this would be a great place to rent during ski season. You have a beautiful view of the slope right outside from the big picture window. We LOVED this place and plan to return…HIGHLY recommend.

Overall, the views of the slopes are amazing & as photographed The floor plan includes this long hall off the kitchen to get to the master - we joked we needed a tricycle to remake some screens from “The Shinning”. But in all seriousness, the master bedroom is Devine and as photographed. Likely an add on that resulted in the unusual layout. The take home message from the property management “Destination Big Bear” in person and during our stay was “don’t bother us”… this same theme was in the house binder with all the instructions. There wasn’t any dishwashing soap or dish towels or paper towels, so we had to use a bath towel when we first arrived. We bought our own dish soap (& laundry detergent & dryer sheets too). The local stores were out of dish towels. None of this is “horrible” in and of itself. It is just very different & significantly less hospitable than the prior property managers we’ve encountered. There were make up stains & other stains on our bath towels which I did make a call about. We did receive a new batch of towels the next day, which was very much appreciated. However, during Covid, it made us wonder about the cleanliness, etc. there was an unusual, caked on, grimy mess on one of the kitchen cabinets (likely a spill that dried up), which cleaned up with some elbow grease. The dishwasher wasn’t functioning properly & ran the entire time we were there (mostly air sucking noises, etc). The driveway snowplow service was excellent & the individual used a drone to see when we were leaving, etc., which is a brilliant use of drones. The stairs are VERY icy & slippery. I would not recommend staying here in the winter months unless you are strong & steady on your feet. We tried to shovel the stairs, break up the ice, etc, but the ice was too thick. I grew up at 8000 above sea level & the stair situation is the main reason we are not planning a return visit. The property manager workers were excellent on the phone, pre-booking, etc. However, the in person check in process and experience was poor (stood there for 10-15 min before an agent was not on the phone & could assist me), in addition to the other issues, this left us wondering why the home owners are using this property management company. Maybe it’s a tough season, maybe co-workers we’re out sick or on holiday vacation, etc. We are typically 5 star reviewers as we are in customer service as well & understand the stresses, etc…

We had a great time in this cozy and spacious cabin! Great location, close to everything, but also perfect for just a weekend staying home and enjoying the fire and hot tub.

We spent Thanksgiving in Big Bear with our young kids. The house was in a beautiful location that backed right onto the mounting. Kids enjoyed exploring the forest, roasting marshmallows by the outdoor fire and using the game room. Would stay again.
