Augusta, Montana
Just a mile or two outside of Augusta, Montana, get away from it all and go back in time with this vintage cabin experience under the stars. There's plenty of room to roam around, and beautiful riverside hangouts. This is a dry camping experience, so just be sure to bring your own supplies such as water, cooking supplies, and a sleeping bag. It is truly a unique getaway that takes you back in time. We look forward to having you!
Gem in Montana, authentic cabin stay by a clam river. Great Environment, place you like to visit again and again. Great hosts.
Beautiful location, the town is close and is so adorable. Kayaking around the pond was so fun. I wish I would have brought a fan as the cabin is very warm.
The cabin is as cute in person as it is in the photos. It’s easy to find with the directions they provided and was a great base for exploring. We loved the fire pit and investigating what was making all the splashing sounds in the little pond. (We’ll let you have the fun of doing the same - no hints!) Future guests should be aware that the cabin shares a large meadow with two tent sites. They are at a good distance but this could impact privacy, if that is important - or give you an option to bring other couples. The lights are powered by a generator - we chose not to use them. We were lucky to find this out before leaving and could plan accordingly. The space was a bit dirty when we arrived. There were lots of dead insects on the floor…more what I expect from a forest service cabin than a VRBO. Still a great little cabin that we will remember.
Outstanding location, great hospitality and relaxing time with this rustic cabin. Will return there again. Thanks for everything.
The Clarks are blessed to have this property and I was blessed to stay here, the setting encourages total peace and contentment. There is not only an idyllic private pond with a kayak/canoe there to use but there is a creek fresh off the mountain front as well. Two firepits if you wanted to cook. Privacy is good, the road isn't too far away but there's so little traffic its not a problem. Just be aware the cabin is authentic, thank you to the owners for not putting a TV or something awful like that in it.
